I've wanted to rewatch before it disappears forever. I can't though. If I didn't know better, every word could…
I had some of the same distressing thoughts. 😔

Currently available on Tubi in original languages and also in English dub. The English subtitles fell off at times or were not synchronized properly in a few others, thankfully with this type of film, no meaning was lost.

Thank you for your kind comments and support. 😊Despite some issues I had with the narrative I was engrossed…
The dreaded episode reduction or censors interfering have messed up a lot of dramas. My pet peeve is when a story had a HE in a book and feels organic as an ending and then they slap a tragic ending on. Or vice versa. When episodes are drastically reduced it can interfere with the flow of the story.

Something all writers need to do when they use time travel is to establish the rules their world will use throughout a drama/film/book and stick with them or else the audience will invariably ask, “What about?” Time travel makes my head hurt anyway and I have watched my fair share of them. My husband will always pipe up, “You know they can’t correct the timeline, they are just creating a new one each time.” 😆

I agree with your review. While I rated it a bit higher then you, all of your points are exactly why this show…
Thank you for your kind comments and support. 😊

Despite some issues I had with the narrative I was engrossed in this drama and was going to rate it higher. Then the rewinding hit and how much they could torture LWY physically. The writing mantra could have been The Princess Bride’s “to the pain!”

The ending was bent to fit the writer’s goal and the audience was just expected to accept it or fill in the blanks themselves. I thought he did that in other places as well which pulled me out of the story.

It was frustrating because I enjoyed the characters and felt like the potential of the story was missed.

Good review. I rated it the same. Wu Shiguang was a very important character until the moment he was built up…
Thank you.

The minute they said he was the new dragon his part dissipated. Ji even had to rescue him at the end. The tortured lovers went rapidly from "hi, nice to meet you" to "I would die for you. At least 30 or more times." It got to the point it felt like the writer was going, what I haven't I done to LWY yet? Stab, burn, kill, cut off her tail...

Tyvm for the 🌸

Review Vanished Name
Its a casting issue, both actors act really well but there is absolutely no way Wang Shengdi grows up into Ni…
Sounds like some writing issues as well. I’m used to the aging disparities. They can be overlooked when the story is tight and compelling. Thanks for another great review!

Review To the Wonder
I so badly wanted to watch this for the scenery and I really liked Yu Shi in Creation of Gods. But ughs Zhou Yiran/…
Poor Yu Shi didn’t have much to do except look pretty on a horse or with a bow and arrow, but he did it oh so well. 😍

If you haven’t enjoyed Zhou’s performances before this would probably not change your mind.

Thanks for the support. I had braced myself to be run off MDL for not scoring it higher. 😄 And tyvm for the gift. 🦋💕

It’s what kept my score lowered as well. But I did enjoy so much of this drama. 🏔️🦋💕

YES!! The fight choreographer/coordinator absolutlely deserves all the acolades.
I thought the choreographer, actors, and stuntmen worked so well together. And they didn’t rely on gimmicks to make the fights look good. And someone finally showed the consequences of grabbing a knife blade, although there probably should have been more damage regardless of how tough the pad of his hand was. But kudos to whoever designed the fights.
