On We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd Mar 13, 2021
I binge-watched the first ''season'' two days ago and now I'm going with the flow for this second. I'm enjoying the show so far... short episodes, concise script, clear-cut intrigue, rather convincing acting, good-looking cast... this is very likely the balm my heart needed after the long string of disastrous shows I watched lately. Thanks Taiwan, you never disappoint!

Those who have seen this drama is it the worth the watch? Is it sad and romantic at the same time?
Yes the story is sad a bit and some scenes are "heavy" but it's fuII of cuteness and adorableness at the same time (thanks to Benny Wen's acting). The Iast time I watched it was perhaps 5 or 6 years ago, but I stiII have a good memory of it. I think it's worth your time :)

Still under the spell of Gary Tang. I remember I was in love with him years ago... Ah, teenage years! sigh! lol

Ok. Please, help me I don't ever seen a BL drama. I tried to watch TOL (Theory of Love) but I Don't finished because…
Theory of Love wasn't exactly a feat, I dropped it as well. A Tale of Thousand Stars isn't the best drama ever made either, but it's watchable. It's soft and ''innocent'', and the story-line basic in comparison with other Thai BL/gay dramas... but it can be perfect in your situation as you're new to the theme.
My best friend got married weeks ago with his longstanding lover in a perfect gay wedding [in the middle of the pandemic unfortunately] so watching this long awaited wedding between Tharn and Type was a good occasion for me to ''compare''... Lemme just tell you how disappointed I am in this production, even the "old" chemistry between Tharn and Type wasn't enough to save the day...and this show; their so-called ''cute moments'' don't reflect what a 7 years-long relationship is supposed to be.. after what was supposed to be 7 years of love. Tharn's character is rigid, no character development at aII in two seasons and GuIf didn't portray his character weII in this special episode, but I won't put the blame on him, actors can't do miracles with agonizing scripts and the script of this second season is a wreck in the form and the contents.
I agree with the critiques on the rest of the show... This Thai sequel was like 99,99% of Thai sequels; it was a disaster!

Title TharnType
problematic and discriminative... it contains violence, homofobia, transphobia, femfobia, toxic masculinity, misogyny,…
Life is also horrible to live. All those things that you list are reality, and facts. I am gay and I like it when homophobia is part of a plot, it ain't problematic.. it's quite the opposite. It shows what people like me have to go through and what human nature is capable of.. Homophobic pricks aren't fiction, same for the rest.
I agree for the weak character development in the series, but it remains a nice drama in comparison with other dramas of the same standard... but, I guess, if you hated this first season, you will have a much more horrible time watching the second. Most of us do, unfortunately lol

Right, like why did type drink. If I were type I would leave right away or call a friend to handle someone like…
Indeed. I am not sure if I will ever like those drunk "cheaters" (or drama-makers) in Thai shows :/

I mean u saw the flashbacks he looked for the files and realized what the boss done.
Yes, I saw the flashbacks but, if the files are "identical" as the doc said, where's the evidence that it's been Type's work? It can also be interpreted as Type stealing his boss' work.... for an obscure purpose (which isn't the case of course)... Perhaps that my brain is the one at fault, but I can't see how exchanging two identical files can prove anything. I think there are some shortcomings in the script... :/
I see that a lot of people are willing to drop (or have already dropped) the series. To be honest, I didn't enjoy this new season as much as I anticipated. I expected something at least as good as the first season, and I am downright disappointed, it's no surprise. When I watched the episode 7 and the preview of the 8th episode, I thought I'd like the new episode even less than the first ones.... but, surprisingly, I enjoyed episode 8 a little bit more than I thought. The first 20 minutes, to be exact. I started pulling a face the second Fiat appeared on the screen.

- I don't understand Type's decision to take the guy to that bar. I am a medical worker, if my outpatient shows up at my place, I'll probably call the police (kick them out before the police arrives if they are of Fiat's kind).

- Type drinking his ass off when his biggest problem at work is over ain't something I understand much either. Alcohol and misunderstandings are pretty common in Thai dramas, and, to some point, they get old... I expected a "smarter" plot for this season... hence my disappointment.

I won't drop the series. I like watching Mew, he compensates for my celibacy (lol) and, expect for Manner of Death, I dropped or put on-hold all the other shows.. if I don't watch TharnType, I'll have nothing else Asian to watch. I'd say this season is no good but in an ocean of disasters... it's refreshing.

*If anyone can explain to me how did Khunpol trap the homophobic boss, it would be nice. Exchanging IDENTICAL files? How can that make any change? o_O?

It would be fun to watch for people with the Alzheimer Syndrome, but, for us, it's just a multitude of episodes…
Being an ass? I wasn't being an ass. It ain't in my nature and education to disrespect people. You asked a question, I replied objectively. I'm sorry for that.

Why is everyone so negative about this second season? I think its cute and less problematic/ has less annoying…
It would be fun to watch for people with the Alzheimer Syndrome, but, for us, it's just a multitude of episodes devoid of story development. We had to watch the same scenes again and again (the angry Type with his boss, the awkward Champ and his doc, the stubborn Fiat with his Leo, the clingy Tharn, the talkative Techno, the overbearing Cir...) Episode 7 had potential but the noise was greater than the nuts in the end. A whole flat episode for a foreseeable punch. 7 whole episodes aired already and my favorite character wasn't on the screen for more than 10 seconds, it doesn't help. Episode 8 will very likely be the traditional dramatic episode that causes a mess that would be solved in the remaining episodes. Not fun.. but I keep watching, it's still better than some other series airing at the moment and I know pertinently that this season isn't the worst ever made, it's just way below average in comparison with season1.

I agree with every word you say. GMMTV is on my bad side since a while now, and it's only getting worse. I put…
I'm not hating on the series, I'm only disappointed. I waited for this series ever since I first heard about it, and the first episode came as a blow. Chonlatee's story looks a lot like my current situation, I too am sharing a house with a friend that I'm crushing on in silence, I too have an annoying best friend of Pang's kind, I too had a witty and supportive family member who used to push me to get the guy I wanted... so I identified a lot in these points, and wanted to watch another series with Podd... but the outcome is way too disappointing for me. Absurd humor can be attractive, but a shallow script can't be an option. And I'm psychologically tired, so I get easily annoyed with shows lately... which doesn't help.

I know how to enjoy humor when there is humor. I wouldn't call the atmosphere in this series satirical humor. You can read Infinite Jest by David F. Wallace to understand the real meaning of satirical humor. You'll see, it ain't this. In this series, it's dime-store "humor", some sort of baseless nonsense. As for me, I work in a public hospital and in these hard times the last thing I want for my rare moments of respite is having to watch my sexuality be toyed with in a low-quality series. The LGBT+ community shouldn't keep silent in regard of these practices.

THIS BL DRAMA IS THE WORST BL DRAMA EVER. PLEASE DON’T WATCH. IF WE KEEP WATCHING TV SERIES LIKE THIS, GMMTV…
I agree with every word you say. GMMTV is on my bad side since a while now, and it's only getting worse. I put the series on-hold (on episode 3) because I couldn't stand all the BS, but I just might drop it completely in the end.

@Ashley Aqui I agree with you on the neighbors. Their presence in the show is an eyesore (I barely support the…
I'm gay so I talk from my own experience. I have gay friends, I don't say otherwise, gay people hang out with other gay people but not only, we have non-gay friends as well. And, in a mini series, to have so many gay couples, it's a bit too much as the main story loses screen time in favor of other stories that don't get enough screen time either. I think, if they focused on Tharn and Type's story and eventually added another couple of supportive gay friends, it'd be enough :)
