Why? Just why? The plot was promising on paper but the script is horribly written. I'm dropping it on the second episode. I know it's gonna be a mess, another BL milking the audience for air and I have no intention of watching a copy of a copy of a million of copies.
When I started watching it, I was like "Why does it only have a 6.5/10 rating?". It was promising, the visual effects and the acting were far better than some crappy series with 8/10 (or more) general ratings.. but then I watched the episode 7 and everything made sense. All in all, it was tremendous potential partially exploited. And the tragedy didn't strike me as it should, I'm rather unimpressed. Too bad!
Now this was my biggest disappointment of the past few months regarding Thai series. I expected a lot more from the TV adaptation of my favorite Thai BL novel but it doesn't come close to its quality. It's rather below average. I'll just go back to read the novel again, it's a better time investment.
Who is ngern?were these two casted in any drama as a couple?
You're right, I don't say the opposite. What I meant is.. if the kid was casted to play the second lead it's probably because the crew plans to make a soft and cheesy adaptation.. and that would mean disappointment. Because no director would be unreasonable enough to choose a teen to play in "mature" scenes.. I just think it foreshadows that we'll get another 2gether 1.0 and I don't have a good memory of it.
Anyway, these were just assumptions, we're all here for the same reason and we don't know how it will turn out. I hope I'm wrong, and I'd be happy to be wrong, this is all! :)
Hey what happens in the last episode? I can't watch the last episode, because I'm not sure, if it's gonna be too…
The two leads aren't physically separated at the end but it ends on a cliffhanger. I don't like spoilers, so I won't say more. I can just tell you it's not sad, it's not tragic, it's not funny.. it's something that will make you think "What? Again?!" To me it was a repetition in the script. As for the disappointing part, I think it's from its general atmosphere, it wasn't a series that made me want to watch a second season or something I'd remember for a long time. It lacked a little something... 👀
I just read that this series has two extra episodes that took place after the well incident and that weren't released with the others in 2017/2018.
Does anyone know anything about it?
But after six years, I guess, it would be foolish to wait for anything. Our best option is to hope for a reboot, that a non-Chinese company will reproduce the series and respect the storyline. Making it gay-themed would be the icing on the cake!

Ngern played Earn in LoveSick 2014/2015 whereat August played Pete, Earn's best friend. It's been 10 years but I can't forget these two, the best friends' to lovers ship still lingers in the air a decade later. For Addicted Heroin, it would have been WONDERFUL if they cast Ngern to play the second male lead with August, they've got the looks, the chemistry and they're good at acting. But that's just a fantasy, they chose that kid and I don't understand why!
With the pandemic I was too overwhelmed by work and didn't even know that this series was released. I watched four episodes so far and I think I'll watch until the end. The thing annoying me is that it's the same atmosphere as in TharnType, I know it's the same universe, but I hoped for a different intrigue, not just cheating, bullying and retaliation...
Edit: Watched it all and I keep everything I said. Nothing special about it, there's no intrigue and no suspense. Another way to call it a waste of time.
People are finally opening their eyes. When I said it was a disaster and lacked realism, people attacked me from all sides when all I did was be honest. I know the codes and protocols of the criminal world (not what you think). KinnPorsche on paper was the perfect series for me, but the opening scene, already, bent my expectations. Too bad, if they'd asked an expert in the underworld and international criminal networks to correct the script, the result would have been infinitely more convincing.
Darn it! August without Ngern... I have to get used to it. And the idea of casting August is good but the second lead is... No comment. I don't care about the age difference but I don't think he's skilled enough for such a role [considering the nature of the novel], I may be wrong, but it's very unlikely at this point. 👀
My best friend "sold" me this drama, he said that I should absolutely watch it. My bestie works currently in an ED/ER, if he says it's great it must be true. I can't help but have high expectations even though the last medical-themed Thai series I watched "Manner of Death" disappointed me like no other... I'll give it a chance and come back to rant if it sucks.
I gave it a second chance after having dropped it once. It turned out more interesting than I thought at first as it has some Dark Blue & Moonlight vibes, but not as good. The final episode was particularly disappointing along with the supposed rivalry between the leads. I expected more.. tension and passion. They were lacking, unfortunately.
