It started good, then when down hill. Overall I'd give the show a 7/10, though I am tempted to knock it down to a 6/10 for having the worst "special" episode I have ever had the displeasure of watching.
The first half of the show was good, but they lost me in the second half. They had such an interesting premise, but they didn't use it to it's full potential in my opinion.
This was great, i loved reading your comment and really had a good time giggling along your pointsFunnily you…
I'm glad you enjoyed my commentary haha! But yes, AouBoom is a great ship, and if gmmtv doesn't give them a bl where they are the mains in 2025, I will go to Thailand myself to fight the casting directors.
This was a phenominal first episode. Dare I say one of the best first episodes I have ever seen from a bl in the almost 8yrs I have been watching them. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Just finished bingeing this series, so here are my thoughts:
1) Pond and Phuwin have great chemistry...... until they kiss. Come on! It is 2024! No more fish kisses! 2) I don't think Winny and Satang have any romantic chemistry. I liked Q and Toey as characters, did not enjoy them as a couple. I ended up skipping most of their scenes later on. 3) The fact that there were bare minimum nine queer male characters in this show, and not one of those characters had a label for their sexuality is utter nonsense. Once again, it's 2024, let characters in bls have labels! 4) Chain and Pun had more chemistry in one kiss than half the couples had in the whole show. 5) What was up with the lack of female characters!? In no world does a queer genz friend group have so little women. 6) Tan and Fang were easily the best thing about this show, and the fact that they didn't have more screen time was disapointing. 7) The friend group was fun, and I enjoyed them together. 8) As someone who does art, and has a sister who is a fine arts major, some of this hurt my soul. I could rant a long time about everything that was wrong, but I will refrain.
Overall it was a fun watch. I give it a solid 7/10. It was fine, but not something I think I will ever rewatch, with maybe the exception of some Tan and Fang scenes.
Okay, this was an adorable fun show. It's pure queer chaos, and it made me happy. There are def some plot holes / randomly abandoned plot lines, but it made up for it with the amount it made me laugh.
Just started watching this show with my little sister, as the latest in the line of shows we have watched together (we have already finished Going Seventeen, Oh No! Here Comes Trouble, My Love Mix Up, and 9-1-1). This will be her first Thai drama, and so far it seems like she is really loving it. Her favorite character so far is Tiwson, but she loves them all. She has already heard most of the songs thanks to me playing them all the time and really liked them, so now she is looking forward to seeing them all in the context of the show.
The real villains in this story are all the adults who so utterly and completely failed these children. Non's Parents, Tee's uncle, Kru Keng, Por's parents, their school teachers, the police. Every single one has blood on their hands. The school teachers should have intervened as soon as the name calling started. Non's parents should have watched and supported their son. Tee's uncle should have never let a minor work for him. Kru Keng shouldn't have taken advantage of a student. Por's father shouldn't have abused him, and his mother should have divorced his father and not used her status over a poor child and his family. And the police should have actually done their job and put people behind bars instead of taking bribes and letting criminals run wild.
What do you mean "murder someone with good reasons"???
Well in Tan's case he thinks they helped kill his brother. If someone killed one of my siblings, and then I killed the person who killed them, most people would find this an understandable reason. I didn't mean good as in moral, but good as in understandable or reasonable.
See, I'm not trusting a damn thing anyone says till I see proof. So much of this is a he said she said situation. As for the people hating on Phee, I don't blame him for what he is doing. He came into this thinking they were just trying to get them to tell the truth so he could get them punished legally and isn't too keen on getting himself arrested for murder. Because like it or not, when you murder someone, even with good reason, in the eyes of the law, they become a victim.

I mean the shows entertaining, and I am enjoying some aspects of it. (mainly Nont's outfit choices, I mean going to interrogate someone in a faux leather croptop and matching pants, truly iconic) But as someone who was raised on murder mysteries, the plot hurts my soul. It has so much potential, but they just aren't using it right.
Okay, let’s level here. You’ve got folks flapping their gums about ‘Playboyy’ being all show and no go,…
There is definitely a plot, it's just not very well put together. It feels very everywhere and no where at the same time. I mean for the first couple episodes it seemed like the main character was Zouey, and then all the sudden it shifts to Nont, and Zouey is pretty much abandoned. They also spent way to much time on scenes and characters that build nothing onto the main plot. Another big issue is the fact that they are trying to be overly "artistic", but they aren't consistent about it. Sometimes the filming style feels very basic, but then five minutes later you suddenly ended up in a perfume ad. (Also don't even get me started of the fake flowers being "watered" over and over and over again.) The tonal shifts are also insane, and not in the Mulan 'a girl worth fighting for' to the burning village kind of insane sshift, but in more of a 'deer jumping into oncoming traffic out of nowhere' kind of insane shift, if you catch my drift. But I'd say the biggest failure of this show is the lack of a good buildup, and because of the lack of good buildup, every time a "plot twist" happens, my reaction is just "meh". If you can't get me to be stunned and flabbergasted, or at the bare minimum, excited that I got a theory right, you haven't done your job right.
Some of you all are so hell bent on making these characters either good or evil that you are losing nuance. Every single one of these characters is a shade of grey. Some of them are lighter shades of grey (Non, Phee, Tan, Jin) and some are much darker (Tee, Top, Kru Keng, Por, Fluke) but not one of them is faultless. There is only one concrete fact in this show, and that is Non a victim.
