Yes, it finished well and tied everything together nicely. Unfortunately, I think the familiar trope irked some people and they gave up a bit early.

This actually finished really strongly. The finish was very tidy, and HLL put in some amazing work 👏. Better to start slow and finish strong than the reverse.

HLL put in some great work at the end when he did his heel turn and became a villain. But, up until that point, Xingyue was in a class of his own amongst the younger cast. I'm a little annoyed because TWD actually finished really strongly. It's such a shame we had to endure the poison trope at the beginning. Although that did prove to be the twist at the end.

I really can't wait for this to air. A critique of his new drama, which I'm just wrapping up and watching the express now, is that the CP is not particularly strong. There will be no such issue in LIRD.

If a cast member does something, it could always be delayed. But, yes, it's typical Youku that holds dramas for no particular reason. Poor Li Hongyi films so many dramas with Youku, but they keep holding them and delaying the release.

I'm going to miss this bts. It's one of the best I've ever seen. I'm someone who can easily skip bts content and just wait for the show. That's what I do with the majority of shows on my WL. I'll comment when the trailer hits and then go away again until it's getting ready to air. But, occasionally, I get hooked on the chemistry and moments produced on-set while filming certain dramas. LIRD has been special. Tbf, I'm a bit spoiled at the moment because I'm also really enjoying the bts of another drama (KTTPH), which is producing different but equally satisfying content. I even dropped my first ever drama due to not being able to get into it because I was more interested in the reuters from this drama and the other one. Lol 🤣. Sadly, all good things must come to an end 😭.
