AZY is so likable. I watched a movie with him in the other day. I hope to see a lot more of him. He's the perfect compliment to LYX. LYX plays complex characters with an ambiguous side so well. Great start to this one.

It just keeps getting better and better. I'm ready to binge all the way home 😋.

I just wrapped this up. I didn't think I was going to make it after a slow start. I even got stuck on episode four for about a month and a half. Then, I finally got rolling, and I was all in. I ended up really enjoying it. PM is full of fun and excitement, plus plenty of sweet moments. Although I will say that PM was a little too rough on YX in the run home. They kept beating him up and humiliating him 😭. Poor boy. Loved seeing positive things happen for CHY and LYQ. It's a nice change to cheer them on for once. Xingyue is such a natural ML, and LYX looked great opposite him. I particularly enjoyed the scenes where they had been married for a while. Also, what a little dynamo Tian Tian is on-screen. She really fills the space with her presence.

I can't wait for episode 30. More truths to be revealed.

Words of wisdom 🔮🧙‍♂️. Once the monsoon passes the drought will come.

The fight scenes are absolutely insane in this drama. They might even be better than the battle sequences in TIA.

Lol. These dramas are going to turn us into sleepless 😴 zombies 🧟‍♀️.

The only thing more tragic than a Cdrama third wheel is the character who unconditionally loves the delusional third wheel 😔💔

So many dramas airing at the same time 😩. I'll do my best to watch them all.

Let's savour sugar sweet 26 💞🍯💞. Before SL / CY unleashes the dark power of OBSESSIVE DELUSION!!! 😔💔

So much ACTION!!! 👊💥🗡️ 😵‍💫

I can't wait for the first teaser to drop. I think it's going to be amazing. The LIRD teaser came out shortly after filming wrapped up. So, we shouldn't have to wait long.

Yes, of course. TEF was highly rumored to air a few months back. Now, it's anyone's guess when it will get the green light. Same thing happened to Hidden Shadow. The LHY drought is real 😭.

If you're talking about Hongyi dramas. They're different. Youku has to lock 🔐 them deep in an underground vault for at least five years to let them mature.

Congratulations 🎉 LITC for hitting the 10K. Well deserved 👏. Let's see how long we hold it.

Ugh! 😫 So, close. MY the truth will set you free. Just say the words. Smh! Hopefully, ep. 26 delivers.

Oh, SL/CY. What are your true intentions and what will become of you?

You don't need to apologise. It's hard balancing general life, finding time to research dramas, watch them, and then freeing up even more time to comment on shows and the actors involved in a meaningful way. Lol.

LIRD had some absolutely insane reuters. Xingyue was exuding power in them. I kind of need this fix after he spent a good deal of TWD in bed feeling sorry for himself. Even though there is a comedy component to LIRD, that bravado and strength should still shine through. I quite like XRH, and she can certainly do her part selling a romance. We know Cdrama likes to force it into shows, so if they are going to do it, then do it right. Ruohan should help Xingyue deliver the CP vibe that people said was lacking in TWD. Particularly if the LIRD reuters are anything to go by.

I feel when creative industries move towards mass production you tend to get into this predicament. Truly original ideas become rare commodities. Most projects tend to fall somewhere between two positions. Good productions with original takes / spins on proven ideas, and formulaic tick-box productions that are either average or poor.

Tbf, I enjoy Cdrama and I find most things that I consume to be highly watchable. Most shows aren't necessarily great, but very watchable. You can't ask for much more than that. Hollywood used to do this well. Highly watchable films with a few masterpieces mixed in. Now, there's a neverending supply of trash with the odd rare gem emerging. The problem is, once you lose the watchability it makes it difficult to hang around waiting for those gems.

Yes, Beloved was fantastic. Crime Cdramas give such a great return in terms of quality. Outstanding stories and the acting is usually top shelf. Even if MDL doesn't seem to appreciate them.

Update on Perfect Match. After being stuck on episode four for over a month. I finally kickstarted it again and ended up blasting my way through to episode twenty-one. It's safe to say I'm going to finish it. After a slow start, it actually became quite enjoyable. A spin on the mystery solving concept, in Perfect Match they overcome life obstacles instead. There's some silly stuff, but it's part comedy, so that is to be expected.
