Yes, YZ is a fire starter. It's a crude publicity method, but I suppose it does generate early discussion and interest in dramas. No fun for the actors, though. Particularly since many of them get along really well off-screen.

Thanks for going into great detail and clearing that up. I always wondered what was meant by it, but could never get to the bottom of it. Usually, Weibo fan attacks revolve around something simple. Someone isn't talented enough or accomplished enough to be billed above or paired with someone else. Looks are another common attack point. For example, Liu Yuning is often critiqued for not being good-looking enough for costume dramas. Lu Yuxiao's weight and posture (complete with unflattering pictures) comes up a bit. Ren Min is criticised a lot for her looks, specifically her nose. I saw you mentioned further down the page WXY was attacked for his physique in First Love. Filmed while he was still growing. And, that it damaged his confidence a bit in regard to doing modern dramas. Well, it is safe to say he is all grown up now. So, hopefully he comes back to modern and proves all the doubters wrong. He's got the perfect aesthetic for them. Would be great for action and adventure, too. 

And, yes, some fans' behaviour can be annoying. A weird combination of a need to worship and a need to control. As if he isn't a real person, but rather an idealised figment of their imagination. A fantasy, so to speak.

Yeah, it looks like Our Generation is a lock for next month. But, there seems to be a possibility of a fast-track and it being released earlier in the month, right after ITNOJ. On The Immortal Ascension page there is a suggestion that it will be the drama to slot into the late July spot. I believe TIA has been delayed multiple times, too. So, HS fans are not alone. Youku is driving everyone crazy...

Yes, the more reservations the better. There's typically a lot of good young talent in GJM dramas. We want them to be seen.

Yes, I remember that. A fan war erupts in the lead up to nearly every drama now. I think it was avoided in Wanted Detective and Love in Red Dust. Perhaps the FLs in those dramas don't have a combative fanbase. But rather the supportive kind.

Lol. Agreed. Why can't they just get along and be excited about good collaborations and high-quality shows. But, no, Weibo is always blowing up into fan wars over the smallest things. If Weibo was an actual geographical region on the map, it would be in a constant state of tension and war. I remember a three-way battle royal involving Linghe fans, Yuxiao fans, and Xingyue fans. Impressive stuff. I just lurk for drama info and to keep tabs on my favourite actors.

Me too. It has to go through the process. But hopefully, if there is no serious wrongdoing, she can recover the ground lost, and this will prove to be only a minor setback. She is without a doubt one of the standouts from the 05 group. I've seen a bts clip. I think it's from this drama, where she is being held underwater. She comes up gasping for air, it shows she really takes her acting seriously, and doesn't shy away from challenging scenes. 

AiMi (my favourite) is another standout from that group. Deng Enxi (05) went first, Tian Tian (07) second, so you can expect AiMi's (08) push to begin very soon. I wish cdrama produced more sci-fi and adventure-type dramas for AiMi to cut her teeth on. High-quality youth / life dramas like Ray of Light would be good, too. But, it will likely be similar to Tian Tian's path in costume dramas, and controversy will follow due to her age.

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if, in your opinion, it finished strongly? I'll avoid this CS until I've completed the show, but I am curious to find out if they recovered for the finale. 

BTW, Feud is GOOD ACTORS CAN'T SAVE BAD SCRIPTS. Lulu has had a good year, though. Moonlight Mystique was great, and Northward was her Xiao Zhan in LOZH moment. Outstanding performance. And, even though many of us were really disappointed by Feud, it actually broke the 10K on IQIYI.

Yes, SWL has done everything asked of him in TSROIO. It has been a superb performance. I'd love to see him in more of these types of roles. We've just got to hope Cdramaland appreciates TSROIO and has an incentive to make more. There's actually another charismatic leading man who I think would be perfect for this type of role, too. Cough! Cough! WXY 😏😁. Looks, charm, fit, strong, and athletic. Yeah, he ticks all the boxes. 

PS... ARP was great in Moonlight Mystique if you haven't seen it. Another serious role. He really is a well-rounded actor.

Yes, OWF has all the elements of an outstanding and deeply moving long-form drama. In the movie, we just get hit abruptly by past traumatic events, and that's that. An information dump to shock you rather than an emotional journey to draw you in and connect you to the story.

Thank you. It seems YZ is a master troll who has a talent for creating fans wars and stirring up trouble for publicity. I remember him being at the centre of a top billing fight between CZY and WJY fans recently, too. Has a any publicity is good publicity approach. Let's hope it goes ahead.
