I dropped it because of the SML; he is one of those annoying SMLs that are relentless to the end.
Oh yeah, I'm very traditional when it comes to love, so dramas that have more than one guy pursuing the FL really makes me uncomfortable, but I love Kdramas, so I largely put up with them unless they become too much for example I loved the SML in lovely runner, or Angel's last mission, but I didn't like the SML in castaway Diva or Samdarli(hated him). As long as there is a clear sign that the SML is somewhat out of the picture and has no shot then I won't drop, but if they become obnoxious and get way too much screen-time I don't waste my time on that Drama and drop it.
Why would anyone hate LR? it has such a happy and wholesome story.
Agreed 1000% I loved every second of it and episode 16 was my personal favorite (the scene of Seon Jae telling Im Sol that he remembers everything will always be my gold standard for time-travel or memory related dramas)
I dropped it because of the SML; he is one of those annoying SMLs that are relentless to the end.
It was around episode 7/8 that I dropped it, and it wasn't anything that the SML did that bothered me, it's just that he seemed like a weasel type of guy and that really bothered me, I got the same vibes from I Can Hear Your Voice SML, so maybe there is a correlation.
Why would anyone hate LR? it has such a happy and wholesome story.
Well everyone's entitled to their opinions, you see cringe, I see wholesome lovely moments, you don't see chemistry, I see so much of it that I was weeping with sadness when they were apart and weeping with joy when ML got his memories back.
You're caught up in the hypePeople hating on this drama isn't "suspicious." It means that the initial excitement…
What do you mean by hype? I had never heard or seen anything from this Drama before watching it, I went in completely blind and with some apprehension too cuz a friend of mine said he watched it but dropped it around episode 7/8.
Why would anyone hate LR? it has such a happy and wholesome story.
Yeah, some reviews and comments are so out of pocket, it doesn't even seem like we're talking about the same Kdrama. Like someone was complaining about how it didn't make sense for the ML to be so in love with the FL and for them to depend on each other so much🤯 how am I supposed to respond to that? or another one was saying that the characters didn't have enough depth or backstory🤯 we literally saw each and every one of their traumas and how they overcame them😍 Or someone was saying the leads didn't have chemistry🤯 are they fucking blind? The chemistry was carrying the entire Drama on it's back.
❗taxi driver pursued the FL and ML in two timelines because she got away, and he wanted to kill her and ML for revenge, in the last timeline that he died in, he simply went after the stalker fan because that's who he is, he is a serial killer. ❗that's actually what I loved about the drama, so many dramas nowadays are giving SMLs way too much screen-time, it's gotten to the point that some SMLs have more screen-time with the FL than the ML, so in this regard the drama did fantastically and handled it the best they could given the time-travel plot. ❗I give you that, it was dumb, but haven't you lost track of time arguing and focusing on something else and forgetting or losing track of your surrounding? Maybe it's my ADHD brain, but that happens to me a lot, like this afternoon I was frying some chicken and burnt a couple of pieces while I was standing right next to it, didn't smell anything either. ❗I wouldn't say it was short-lived, they were a huge part of ML's life in all the time-lines, I think they were given appropriate screen-time, not too much and not too little. Also the story was about the struggles of two destined lovers, if they had gone in depth in the band stuff, they would have been forced to give up on a lot of stuff in regard to the couple of moments. ❗I agree, I love stories with focus on loving someone even if they have a disability and loving them for who they are inside and outside, but cuz of time-travel it wouldn't have worked, Im Sol was miserable and wanted to have her legs back and with the changes that she did to the time-line, there was no way they could have kept her in a wheelchair, now if time-travel wasn't a main point of the story then yeah I would 100% agree with you.
For me, it was a 10/10 cuz it's been years since a Drama managed to make me cry and laugh so much, to make me Feel so much.
I was about to stop watching Kdramas for a while cuz the recent ones that I've seen have all been either subpar or just pure crap, but watching LR it gave me that passion for Kdramas once again:
This was such a fantastic story about two destined lovers that needed that shove towards each other for their lives to be happy: Seon Jae needed his first love to escape his loneliness and depression and Im Sol who was only trying to change her past for her legs and favorite idol ended up falling in love and trying her hardest to keep her love alive even if it meant he would forget her forever.
All in all this was a 10/10 for me; the cast was perfect, comedy was on point, chemistry through the roof, fantastic kisses, greenest SML in history and a happy ending that will make you cry with happiness. I cried and laughed with this drama and could not have been happier with its story and conclusion, I 1000000% recommend it to anyone who is hesitant to watch it.
