An Engaging Storytelling with Stellar Casting
Sight, scent, taste, touch, and sound—five senses that imprint themselves in our memories and hearts. And while all of them have an impact, sound is a stark reminder of how swiftly something can fade while leaving an indelible mark.Nowhere is this more evident than in music. Music speaks to the soul when words falter, conveying emotions that defy easy expression. Its melodic language channels joy, love, anger, fear, and pain, forging connections that transcend barriers.

How Will This Show End Ultimately- Good or Bad??
Have you ever watched a show and thought “This is bad in all good ways, and yet I don’t know where it is headed to?”Mind boggling yet pretty cliche, M Flow Entertainment’s latest offering “My Stubborn” enters the BL arena with the bull-headed attitude of trashing prior precedents. For shock factor, they start the pilot episode with an over-the-top jerking session. It’s hot, spicy and regrettably sets the tone for most of the show. The show has the distinction of fielding not one but three different couples (2 BL+1 GL). If nothing goes wrong (as is the case with most M Flow productions), then this show might be a surreal experience. The ensemble casting helps as we get a variety of characters, their backstory and budding romance to watch. But there is also this grating sense that something might go wrong. From the first episode, it is obvious that the main leads are going to be projected as an overtly horny couple, it is exciting but too much spice can be offputting. Can the main couple keep up appearances while maintaining their sex appeal? That remains to be seen!

A Cute, No-Nonsense Teenage Romance, All Fluff!!
“First love is only a little foolishness and a lot of curiosity”- George Bernard ShawGMMTV steps into the threshold of teenage romance with their new show “Boys in Love”. If you are looking for a show, along the lines of “Make It Right”, “Love Sick 2019” or the current 2025 version, then I don’t think you will be disappointed. The show is no- nonsense, fluffy romance happening in the midst of a school revolution where the Principal has forsaken the old rule of wearing school uniforms. Obviously there are divided opinions, the teachers don’t support his decision while the kids are having a field day wearing whatever they want. Caught in the midst of this social reform is our very studious, very diligent protagonist, Shane. He is dedicated, disciplined and socially awkward. Best caricature of a bookworm who only lives and breathes to better his scores. He lives with his super lazy siblings who don’t contribute much and instead rely on Shane to manage the household needs. Self reliant, Shane has never had any fun or enjoyed his life, being saddled with responsibility. This isn’t just his story, the show neatly packs four different romances in the entirety of each episode. They are riveting, intriguing, and we are seated to watch their individual growth as they embark on a new journey!

Fast Paced Thriller With Interesting Characters!
Continuation of the hit supernatural Thai-BL and adapted from the novel of the same name, “Pit Babe The Series Season Two” is a series full of race cars, mysterious happenings, and supernaturally powerful beings. From the first episode, we start seeing competitions, new decisions, arrival of new characters and the return of some old ones grambling with mysterious incidents. Babe (Pavel Naret), the undefeated king of the racing track loses his crown when new rookie racer, Willy (Milk Natchanon) beats him in a race. The first episode starts with Pavel, who is playing the title character, Babe having a nightmare followed by Charlie (Pooh Krittin), calming him down. Kim (Benz Atthanin), another racer in X- Hunter company resigns to move forward with his career, to be honest I am very invested in his story and wish to see where his story arc and character goes. Another new twist in the story is that Way/Chris (Nut Supanut) is back (but is he? Or is it someone else?). I wish that Pete (Ping Orbnithi) could find his closure or get his happy ending in this season. Despite taking the power sealing power, Jeff is still getting his visions, and predicting future predicaments related to his colleagues in X-Hunter. The second episode follows up with the confusion that occurs when Chris joins Pete’s company as their new researcher. He looks exactly like Way, who is presumably dead. Tony who was declared dead also returns to play the antagonist. He promptly kidnaps Kenta (Garfield Pantach) and Winner (Pop Pataraphol) to assist him in his attempts to destroy X-Hunter again. In the midst of this chaos, Willy tries to flirt with Babe. I am a little skeptical about Willy’s character as I have zero idea of what he is planning to do.

Compared to the Drama, Lacks Distinct Flavors!
The movie version of Park Sang Young’s novel adaptation projects a strong message that subjugates most societal norms and outdated beliefs. There is a clear demarcation between the movie and drama version; so you might be slightly disappointed with the conjecture. For those who are unhappy because the movie gleams too much on the friendship aspect rather than tackling the issues concerning the queer community; we have an important reminder. The movie is based on the first few chapters of the novel where the main protagonist lives with his sassy best friend. The drama version follows up on the later chapters where he tackles personal issues and inevitably meets the “love of his life”. Some scenes in the movie seem to clash with the content in the drama series, but that’s bound to happen when there are directorial differences.Read the complete article here-

A Classic Taiwanese BL With A Twist!
Two different pairings with variant stories, you can really can’t decide whom to root for!The only thing that caught my attention when Line TV started promoting this show was Parker Mao. We have already seen him in the 2023 recliner “You Are Mine”. Though the show didn’t make any waves and was quietly forgotten, fans would obviously remember Parker’s good looks. Here he continues with his hardheaded “Boss” act, only this time it extends to kidnapping and threats. The first few minutes of the pilot episode will make you wonder if you are watching a mafia romance with Parker prancing around and ordering his ten lackeys to kidnap a bewildered guy who was just live-streaming to his barely existing audiences. Makes you wonder what’s so special about the guy that he deserves to be kidnapped in a body bag. The situation is so hilarious, I failed to understand why Tang Du Zhi needed an army of ten men to kidnap Wang Zhan. The first two episodes leave you with more questions that will definitely keep you hooked!

A Knockout Series Indeed!!
Life is often a lot like being inside a boxing ring, waiting to see if you can withstand the fight ahead or end up knocked out while trying to live.In the Thai BL series Knockout, adapted from the novel of the same name by Dawin, that analogy isn’t just a metaphor, it’s the foundation. Starring Nice Boripat Jamsat as Keen and Gun Natsakan Chairote as Thun, the story begins with Keen’s life unraveling in real-time. In the middle of a job interview, he receives word of his father’s sudden death, a loss that not only strips him of family but also drags him into a financial nightmare. Saddled with unexpected debt from an informal loan his father left behind, Keen finds himself cornered by debt collectors with nowhere to hide. His refuge? Petchsak camp, a Muay Thai gym, where he crosses paths with Thun, a boxer known as “The Cannon Who Conquers Tigers.”

An intelligence agency spy, a crime syndicate and its employee!
VBL’s last venture “Eternal Butler” was a huge success with a streamlined storytelling and an excellent casting. I was hoping that their new project “Fight for You” will keep up with the same momentum. Unfortunately it does and doesn’t. Starring Andy Ko & Nelson Ji in lead roles, the show focuses on the unlikely entanglement between the main couple. The main leads have a decent chemistry but the storytelling is off-track and it leaves you pretty confused. This was the major problem in most VBL’s productions which they seemed to have overcome in “Eternal Butler”. I’m not sure if it is because the shows had different directors and screenwriters. But the leads can only do so much to save the show from sinking like a blasted ship in the middle of the ocean!Read the complete article here-

A Regal Extravaganza Par Excellence!
I was bought up on a stable diet of Disney Princesses who conquered the world; so a misplaced Prince wasn’t on my list. But then why not?For those who grew up watching Snow White, Cinderella or Aurora, the fictional part isn’t interesting; it is the struggles they go through. Of course, they have a knight in shining armor or a handsome Prince to protect them. But what happens when you are the Prince in distress instead of the damsel? Domundi TV’s “The Next Prince” quickly answers this question with a self awareness that is unhinged and particularly regal. Set in the fictional nation of Emmaly, the storyline goes through the same grind, albeit the queer way. For many who have anticipated the release of this royal romance, the wait might be worth it. Starring Zee Pruk and NuNew Chawarin who plays the titular role, “The Next Prince” is fraught with political intrigue, mystery and lots of drama. In the midst of this chaos, we have an inevitable romance blooming between the next heir to the throne and his very persistently aloof Royal Guard. Nunew has come a long way as he delivers a noteworthy performance as Khanin. He is captivating, engaging and yet somber. We have a medley of supporting characters that are as riveting as the main couple, so there is never a dull moment. Before diving into the Emmalyian waters, be warned; the men are handsome and too hot to handle!
