I think Namping has improved his acting in the more recent episodes...but NGL , I had initially put this series…
Totally agree on the chemistry. I feel like I'm being gaslit or something because I'm genuinely not seeing it! Meanwhile with the other two it was there from their first shared scene.
Exactly!!! Everyone should be free to express their POV without being ganged up on like this. One obviously doesn't have to agree with whatever is being expressed but to aggressively debate someone as though their opinion or perspective is wrong is just insane! It's neither right nor wrong, just a difference of opinion! It's wild to me because I love reading different opinions but they seem to not want them to even exist. Last I checked this wasn't an echo chamber.
This series was good but the last episode was a total cop out. It was expected though given the eleventh hour conflict introduced in the 2nd to last episode. I really hate when series do that!
it's 4am and i'm cracking up at this comment lol π€£ π it's been a minute since I've watched but I vaguely…
Haha! True!
Ahh, well I wanted to like it but the story was a mess and only got worse as it neared the end. The chemistry was so good though and Joss as a vampire was kinda perfect so it sucked that the storytelling ultimately failed to deliver.
With that said, I've been watching Revamp so this series has been on my mind lately to the point where I keep questioning if I was maybe too harsh on it lol so a rewatch might be in the cards
But the actor who played khem is kinda weak among whole cast but he is the main character which I have to feel…
I hear you. Unfortunately those coming for your head stay misinterpreting this criticism every time it comes up when in truth most of us who feel similar would probably agree that the actor gets the character and is portraying the character well - thus we understand the character! - but he could really benefit from putting in the work on emoting. I don't feel the chemistry between the leads either but I think that's more so a separate issue and is what it is.
Nora, you have a better understanding of the character from having read the novel. Non-novel readers should be able to understand a character onscreen and if they cannot then the actor is not conveying that character correctly and that's typically an instance in which the actor doesn't fully understand the character they're portraying.
That's not to say that's even the issue here because I don't believe his acting has any bearing on understanding or not understanding his character and I have no doubts about the actor himself understanding the character, but y'all keep retorting with the same stock line every time someone questions his acting - which is that we must not understand the character - and it's pretty blatantly belittling to the intelligence of those who simply feel differently about it than you do.
There are way more comments praising his acting and no one who feels otherwise about it are in the replies of those comments fiercely trying to dispute that praise. The thought policing here is getting ridiculous and it's honestly really off-putting. I can't speak for anyone else but what y'all are doing makes me not want to watch anything this guy does in the future and he's done nothing to deserve that. It's too much!
This is bit draggy. Namping should improve his acting.
I agree! Many actors have taken to acting lessons after their first leading role and improved so much in their follow-up series. Serious actors are always looking to improve their craft and there is zero shame in taking lessons yet apparently it's a crime to even suggest such a thing for this actor.
side note - I'm watching two other ongoing series where the comments have been flowing with praise for the leads for having taken acting lessons. One of the actors really needed it IMO but the other I never would've thought! In any case, these are two actors who took it upon themselves to put in the extra work and it shows! So yeah, there's nothing wrong with the suggestion.
don't get mad @ me this is my opinionwas willing to get over my disdain for joss for a second and pirate this.…

always catching flack
