hmmm. just started today and i can say the post prod of this is well done. as expected of bai lu dramas. i just hope i get more emotion from the ML. his eyes, like his gazes specifically, should speak volumes, but yeah, still on the 1st episode. with cdramas, its usually on episode 4 and up that it starts to get interesting.
ok. im on a rewatch fever recently and my oh my, i have to admit, LBFAD is still my no.1 drama ever since it came out. i thought this love affair w/LBFAD would end after binging lots of other dramas over the years, but the hold of this drama in my life is just way too much to comprehend. hahaha.
the more i watch this over the years, the more i love the character of lan hua. in the beginning, it's her voice that irritated me, but now, the purity of her character shines through the moment i took out that bias over esther's voice projection of orchid's character. after 3 yrs, i can say, she did incredible justice with lan hua's pure and "baby plant" personality. and well, ZLH and WHD are just the perfect pair for this romantic fest of a xianxia.

this pairing was the pairing i initially rooted for in LBFAD. im glad ZLH and yu shuxin found each other again in this drama. and surprisingly, esther yu did really amazing work here in MJTY. actually both leads and even the 2nd leads can stand on their own, including the support roles, like the back hill boys, yuanzhi, jinfan and zisheng. what can i say, everybody was stellar in their acting! and because it's wuxia, the fight scenes are just so yummy. the editing is chef's kiss.
just when are you going to give us the season 2 of this drama IQIYI, huh?! when?!?! i so want to see them all again!!! with the now older young master xue (joseph zeng), with the twin yuns, which btw is double the fun, i bet, for the Sword Wielder. hahaha. and of course, the baby Gong shangjue!!! and that mysterious Dianzhu... i really wanna know more about her. my goodness. how many times do we have to rewatch this just so you give us the sesason 2?!?!?!
id like to think that the ending i have in mind is that they'll both choose to become humans instead and finally get the full buffet of sufferings that this mortal world can offer them. Hopefully they'll both can enjoy it.....Lmao. Sorry bjs, you need to say bye2 to eternity here in my mind.

Watching feud w/ this and Im on the 7th now. the story itself keeps me tuned-in for hours. I surely did not expect this drama will have a great story, but it did. I went into this blindly (no trailers/no reading of synopsis, reviews,comments beforehand) and again, i was reminded to never judge a drama by it's poster/ratings.
