The reason being is that the emperor is short in funds & given the Yus have been stealing monies through corruption over the years, the empress dowager has advised the emperor to be lenient in their corruption’s case so that Madam Yu would hand over the gold, silver & their estates all over the country to replenish their treasury otherwise they would have their monies in their coffins should the be executed.

Episode 32: FYK said to YJX” you said I’m dull because you’re dull. I don’t want to live in this heartless household so I’m leaving you”. Wow, as much I don’t like FYK but I applaud you for telling his delusional a$$ the truth. FYK to Madam Yu “ I want my freedom and don’t care what you think of me as you are not a good mother yourself so why should I care about me being a good mother by leaving baby ji behind. Double wow, well done FYK for giving back what she has been doing to you. I’m paraphrasing her words.

I just only watched the Lat episode before the other ones. It will be a HE for ZL & FTY with ZL refusing his promotion at court & resigned from his position. ZL & FTY moved back to Ganlin in the northwest to live a happy & happy life. They have a cute daughter. Scumbag Yu father forced his son YJX to take the fall for him by signing a confession letter but he refused. Father Yu & YTY were physically pushing each other when father Yuwas trying to force YJX to sign the letter & Yu father accidentally fell on the corner of the table & died. YU mama & son were faking the Yu’s dada death as a suicide by shame. They were forgiven but had to hand over their houses & fortune & become just commoners. FYK left YJX & baby ji to be a teacher. Concubine Wu has her own business & lives freely. Madame Wei cracks me up as her father knew that her dodgy husband was compromised & supported the Yu so she & her father have evidence on him but keep him on his toes. FTY’s brother is also a teacher & lives happily with his wife. Madam mo’s son has passed the imperial exam to become a scholar so she is very proud. Madam Yu became a bit coucou telling YJX that she has arranged for him to marry FTY LMAOOO but it’s kind of sad. I love the last discussion between Madam Yu & FTY. The end. I need to watch other episodes now.

According to Chinese fans on XHS who have already watched the last episodes it will be a HE. The Yu family will fall. I saw a video with Yu father & son were physically fighting. YJX refused to take the fall for his dad so the dad died if I am not mistaken. ZL resigned from his position so ZL & FTY will move back to Ganlin & they live near Madam Mo & Wang. They have a daughter & live happily so I guess this is their splendour. Before this, ZL faked his death in prison by drinking the poison in front of FTY so he could continue his investigation on the Yu’s corruption ( you see the funeral of ZL in episode 34). Madam Yu became coucou & is still after the power. FJX is alive but fell from grace. FYK divorce from YJX & is teaching girls in a school. Concubine Yu lives rich & freely. Madam Wei ( Tian) also lives a happy life with her dad minister Tian & hubby. Commander Wang had his position in the northwest army back. A Sen married the Wang’s daughter.

Agree with you. I have doubts about the emperor & thought that either Mo Yi or ZL, they’re just pawns or pieces that he wants to move. Making the whole speech about his grandma doesn’t cut it for me. I am just speculating here but by the young emperor does neither have the control over the northwest army nor the merchants. He is betting on the fact that ZL is a loyal subject so he ordered ZL to kill Mo Yi to not only appease the Anzou merchants so that they would not disrupt the salt reforms so that the emperor could raise his funds. Mo Yi’s death will also put the northwest on notice that ZL is now his loyal subject & no longer defend their interests so at least they will start to be more obedient. If the northwest army rebels as a result of Mo Yi’s death then with the monies coming from the salt reforms, the emperor may be able to raise his own army that is loyal to him. I do think it is a dangerous bet but I don’t like the emperor at all.

FTY is now trying to find ways to help Mo Yi & prove his innocence, hence the Wu’s account book is key to that. Both ZL & FTY are working separately to help resolve the Mo’s situation. I put out a comment of today’s episode from a Chinese below.
