I find this great comment by a Chinese fan on XHS that explains about the baby swap situation between the 3 mothers:

She is the mother in the show who breaks your heart the most, but also leaves you speechless.. at first, she genuinely didn’t know that A Chou was WR. Her daughter was swapped & left to wander the streets after being left in the Wei mansion, so she had no clue of knowing the details.
But the terrible part comes later when the truth was revealed & she realised that the girl that everyone despises & whom she has almost ordered the execution was actually her long lost daughter, she chose silence. She didn’t dare to acknowledge WR, she didn’t want to. Exposing this fact would reaver the secret of the baby swap, Jundai’s background ( born out of wedlock), her affair with the emperor and these would bring her family down. Note that the empress is waiting to catch her on any mistakes. Blood ties aren’t as important as a bright future for her. Zhou Fu behaviour isn’t that she doesn’t love her daughter but the one that calculates. When motherly love clashes with power, she lets it yield to power. This is probably the most restrained kind of bad love “ I love you but I love power more”.

WR wasn’t her family member, she was just free labour for her family. WR has been beaten, scolded & suffered from harsh treatment from them. Mrs Qiao’s treatment of WR is the ruthless as she is turning another child into a consumable item. There was no love for WR. The debt of saving a life was real but the exploitation of that child’s was also real.
There are no good mums but just twisted motherly love. The cruelest part of this show isn’t writing about bad mothers but these 3 mothers have all made deals with the devil using motherly love. Ambition, power and profit have occupied the place that is meant for love.

I assume their original divorce agreement after one year of marriage. Then, the whole identity saga with her mum, death of Bitao perhaps? That is hell of a rollercoaster for me.

I read on XHS that they will divorce after the identity revelation. Bitao will be killed trying to save WR so I guess that all that grieving may have pushed her towards a peaceful life. Chinese fans are saying there will more snakes coming up like Wei Shu( aunt Guo eldest daughter) & Xie hiaotong ( the girl that was pushed by Jundai in the first episode).
Poor WR, there are so many snakes in that room that tear you a part. The desperation in her eyes says it all. Thanks to grandma Zhou & grandma Lu who will come to defend WR. Is WR so ready to end it all with that poisonous drink that Bitao is serving? Thank god, Bitao swapped that wine cup out to Jundai instead. Is Bitao acting with guilt that she was forced by first aunt Guo ( biggest snake of all snakes) to switch that longevity lock given that aunt Guo is holding her family hostage or is she doing under aunt Guo’s order to provoke consort li outrage to kill her own daughter. We will find out tomorrow.

She’s the biggest culprit behind the baby swapping as she’s consort Li’s enemy. She was WR’s dad former fiancé but he called his engagement with her off & had to marry the big brother Wei, a useless man. Lady li is so blind that she doesn’t realise that aunt Guo Yufeng set a trap for her. If Jundai dies (by poison) then consort Li will be so triggered that she will kill WR her own daughter. Consort Li will point a sword at WR threatening to kill her tomorrow. Aunt Guo blames consort li for ruining her life with taking away her former fiancé Wei Jin whom she fell in love with.

The Chinese fans on XHS said that they will divorce and will get married 3 times. First time is after her identity trauma was revealed. He didn’t want to get a divorce but had to accept it based on their original agreement. They then get married the second time, consumed their marriage & LZ went to war & has not returned as he was thought to have died in the battlefield but in reality he was detained by his enemies for a long time. WR asked the lu family to free her with the divorce. Han Liao, prepared a rebellion with the empress, threatened WR with her mum’s life ( consort Li), forced WR to marry him but LZ came back from the dead to kill Han Liao. She suspected about her foster mother as she never felt loved by her since she was a child as compared to the siblings. She brought the foster mum & siblings in her countryside house together with an old neighbour to make her speak but that terrible woman kept her mouth shut so that she could make WR work for her & her kids benefits. WR staged a fire in the house & the foster mum went to save her own daughter first. WR saw it all & reminded her that she was also her own daughter but the woman would only admit that she picked WR up in the middle of the mountains because someone dropped her there & her own daughter died because WR threatened her son’s life. She kept WR as a slave for her family & lied to the authorities that WR was her daughter A-Chou ( Chinese fans said it means ugly & who would call your child name ugly).

However, Bitao, felt guilty for having been forced by aunt Guo to swap the longevity lock, has switched the poisonous wine to Jundai which led her to Jundai’s death. Consort Li was triggered & pointed a sword towards WR & wanted to kill her own daughter WR. Had consort li had killed WR, that would have achieved aunt Guo trap for her.
