Maybe before. Now, mostly people are hating it. Once in a while, or in some dramas, a same trope being used is okay, but now its like every other drama. I get it though.

Exactly! I think they can just show someone as a good friend who cares for the FL. He can also have his own love story with someone else. The obsession story line is kind of repetitive now.

No I would still blame him. He married someone else. Yes he was forced, but he still married someone else. Then he went to her when he needed her for protection. He is constantly lying to her. That's not love, he just wants to possess her. But yes, I get you he has been in love with her since childhood, and he really believes that because she is a woman, he is now an emperor, she would come back to him.
yeah in LOFG, it was just 2-3 meetings, and the guy was obsessed. But I really believe, its kind of boring now. Every other drama, this plot !

Yeah I get it. Prince Annan even tells her why can't you hurt me, is this because I look like your Jin An or is it because I am Jin An, and then goes on to kiss her. Its such a wild scene. Especially after such cute romantic scenes in episode 28. I hope the angst won't be for long though.

@jgh_hjg That got more criticism than this, when that's not even romance based. I mean after 10 episodes, except some smiling, nothing has happened. That's basically a boss and junior supporting each other. Its just legal cases there and solving it together.
I mean I get it if people hate age gaps. They can just drop. Why to hate on things when others are enjoying it.

Again with the uncle aunty shit. I mean unless you are 10, I don't think someone 35 would be an aunty for you. Find some stuff which you like and compliment it. Why waste energy and time on hating things. I mean seriously, aren't you tired. Going to pages of different dramas and hating on them. Either give constructive criticism on dramas about acting, plot or just move on.

I think the ML knows by now. He seems a little different in the later half of episode 28. Also by the previews, it seems he knows in ep 30. In the novel the ML never forgot the FL. So even if they have many changes, they might just make the ML pretend or something. There are also some scenes which are released, which included Prince Annan kissing the FL. Just a wild guess.

So the last three dramas that I saw, legend of female general, Moonlit Reunion, and this all have this obsessed side male lead. I mean why? They should not just come up with something new.

I really thought, that was it. Yeah there were no witnesses, but who cares. Its so stupid if they are not considering that marriage. My babies are married, I don't care what the emperor thinks.

The obsessive side male lead track is overused, I believe in C-dramas these days. Like basically, in every drama, the same plot. Even in dramas taken up from novels, where there is no such track, directors are finding it amusing to use it. Like we get it, a jealous track is nice for 1-2 episodes max. Then be a obsessive male lead or obsessive female lead, it just disrupts the story, and majority of the people find it unlikeable then.

What's wrong with the preview of ep 29? Aren't they already married, why would Jin An ask the obsessive emperor to grant their marriage. I am furious by the preview of ep 29. ep 30 preview is nice though!

I think he sees her a little more than a student, or among all a person closer to him than others, otherwise the kind of introverted cold person with that kind of attitude, but still he actually discusses personal stuff with her. But yes romantic hints, are never from his side. The FL has a one sided crush, I guess, but she is also not acting upon it very well.

I think we considered it flirting and him as a pervert, only because the woman was upset with it. She didn't like it. But in our leads case, that wasn't the story. He felt the FL was genuinely concerned and liked her approach. If he didn't then that can be considered harassment. Also, I think it depends on the relationship between the two. The leads do not only have professional relationship between them now. They discussed their personal problems, and other stuff and have become more than colleagues. Just like the the relation between the ML and second ML , also like the second lead couple. So I think it differs for every person, how they are interpreting their situation.
My dad works in the banking sector. He told me there was a news of a junior complaining because her boss said her smile was cute. That can be considered harassment. But in the same office, people do fall in love, date, even get married. So there must be flirty exchanges between the two, but cannot be considered harassment because of the mutual affection and relation. So I believe, it depends.
But the firm in the drama, does not allow dating between senior and junior associates, so I don't know where they would be going with it, if they show something between the two.

I mean they should. Its a romcom. Why should a romcom have a sad ending? I understand, still I really hope that doesn't happen.

Maybe, because I saw it today and I had been ignoring this since many days. I even saw this discussion in the Bon Appetit Your Majesty's page. There also few people criticized the age gap of the leads in that show and also about this show. I get it everyone might not like the age gap, so its okay they can just drop it, why waste time on stuff you don't even like.

Okay, so the drama did change it a little because according to the few upcoming scenes released, when Jin An becomes Prince Annan, it doesn't seem he remembers her, cause she is all soaked in blood and chained in front of him, and he smirks at her. Also what about the obsessive crown prince? What happens to him in the novel?

I went back and saw! Oh my God yes! You really saw it through, great eye! It might mean death, or it might be blood shedding too, considering the political turmoil in the palace and the his mother's case. Lets just hope such a rom com wouldn't give us a trauma.
