I think you are viewing just from a point of view. Working all the extra hours and overtime do no count ? In my company everybody can leave work premises at each hour for personal reasons, when they need it ,as long they have plus working hours on time account.
As for SY going to her place I call it caring. Who thinks of bondaries when the love ones get hurt ? You go check , help and if all ok reestablish the bondaries if needed. I fel bad for both of them(JB&SY) today.She finding like that and that damn scene had to colapse right when she needed SY to just stay with her. But on the other hand I guess it helped them to move past the awkward moments after rejection.
