It was cluttered when she rented it. I noticed that the previous occupants didn't remove all of their 'stuff' or maybe the layout is pretty cluttered. In contrast Liang Diawen's new apartment is too stark. There's no decoration whatsoever. They compliment each other indeed.

I feel you. It’s because the Pearl Tribute story IS dry and boring. The characters are interesting though. I’m more interested in how ZLS character climbs to the top than all the shenanigans regarding the pearl trade.

I agree. I think that now she knows his real character, and how vicious he really is, she’s ashamed of how naive and gullible she was to believe the best of him. I don’t think he will ever redeem himself in her eyes, because what struck her when she fell off the cliff was his callousness in not caring that a person was pushed off a cliff regardless of whether he knew the person or not. A normal reaction would have been concern, horror and alarm not impatience and not caring. That woke her up. She will never again put herself under his power or control. She doesn’t trust him.

5 years too late. Timing is crucial in relationships. It's possible for something to be too late, but I still have hope for this couple. One more episode... I hope we can end with a realistic, but hopeful option.

To be honest, she didn't leave Japan because of a man, just the same way she didn't leave Korea because of a man. She left her parents to live independently by herself and gain life experience good or bad. In some cultures, that's what adults do when they are of age, they break away from their parents and experience life for themselves. She also didn't leave Japan because of the break up. She had to go back home because her family was in crisis. She used that opportunity to break up with the man because the relationship was failing any way. If she didn't have that distress call from her sister, she may have still stuck it through, trying to make it work with a man who cannot communicate with her.
