Mmm.. if I worked with a person like Maze, I would feel bad for myself and my coworkers. He has some of my least favorite traits in a person. I am waiting to like Maze, but it will probably never happen. It doesn't mean I don't like the show though. Some of my favorite shows I absolutely despise the characters. What people need to realize is that Japan and yaoi is the start of what BL is today, and all of the storylines were originally like this. Lmao. It's just not what has been on TV. I think that these types of storylines are catered to a female audience. I am not sure what most gay men think about shows like this, but this is the FIRST BL I have seen with a female director, screenwriter, AND author.... I mean, if these things weren't the setup for me to love this show, I don't know what was. Women were the primary consumers of yaoi and they loved dark, twisted plotlines. It hits in the right place.. what can I say? All my fantasies that I didn't even know I had are being spelled out on screen and in words in the book for me. It's magnificent!

I see that. I think many temporary characters are introduced to quickly speed up the plot. Come fast, disappear fast and maybe reappear later.. but then disappear again. I think this is on point with many slice of lives. My personal favorite is Saiki K. I brag on that show all the time and it never leaves Netflix. I say focus on main 4 + reporter and don't get invested in others. Lol. I am feeling this new Jean though.
I am confused with mixed opinions on this show. I've liked every episode. I like slice of life stuff as I have watched a couple slice of life animes! I am more into the character's personal lives and little dramas more than the murder plot, but I like how the murder plot also affects the slice of life side..

For me many were new and many were not new. If you ask me neither is Jo Gwangil or Since totally new! Both of them were lacking in fans and support, so I am glad they came on the show.. but SMTM is totally 인맥 힙합 or connections hiphop. None of the people on this season were completely unknown. I think if anyone wants to call SMTM a fair show, they are very mistaken! If you think about it, last season Lil Boi was in a well-known ballad group, and he knew Giriboy.
This season's top 4.. We have Since who is close friends with Miranni from season 9. We have Jo Gwangil who had a viral song. If I look at his prior works, he has collabed with Olltii and Kim Seungmin (Giriboy's crew 우주비행). Kunta knows Yummda. And Be'O was not connected with the hiphop world from what I can find, but he did have songs out where the MVs have 100,000+ views before SMTM. Be'O I think is not 인맥 힙합. There are people like him, but if you went back and look at who makes on SMTM.. I guarantee you the majority of people who make it far are artists that already know people in the industry....... It's even harder to find people who have very little fanbase that make it far. Because even Be'O did have some fans before SMTM or his MVs wouldn't have had those views. So maybe Be'O is not totally new, but I would call him pretty new. Lol.
