OK, I love this show, but it is NOT relaxing to watch at all. I'm so stressed out I have to take a break.
I freaked out watching the Japanese version the first time. I just have to turn my emotions off. The point of this show is not about romance. I think the writers wanted to give the feeling of slapping the audience in the face. Whoever gets hurt, it is for the sake of comedy! One thing to think about is if you compare this to ITSAY, it is not stressful at all. After that experience, I can get through any movie or show. hah.
I enjoyed episode 1, 2 & 3 but found episode 4 so annoying. As Siu Muk keeps telling Tin youre an adult and he…
Honestly, I think KK's aggression is no different than many "semes" in BL. My friend pointed this out to me one time that it may just be ageism that makes us see him as "creepy." If you think about Dean in UWMA, Nubsib in Lovely Writer, or someone else like this, I find the persistence of the characters very similar.
This show is just as good the second time. They cannot beat the Japanese version in acting or in comedy though. I feel for Ossan or KK just because I have seen the two drama versions of the Ossan's Loves, so my interpretation is so different than someone who hasn't watched them. The confession scene where the wife, KK, and Tin all meet to me is hilarious every time. What is funnier though is Ossan and the MC's roommate fighting. I hope to see more of this. I don't feel for Siu Muk even close to as much as Maki.. or any of the characters if you compare them to the JP version (besides "Ossan") actually. I do not think this is due to me being used to this plot but rather the product of a less than perfect performance from actors and crew. So I like it, but Japan is better at animated/over the top shows.
The start was good, both Japanese and HK, but the Japanese was better although I didn't like it , I really hated…
Right. I think the actors did a good job, but it is impossible to top the main actor in the Japanese version. He is just a comedic genius, and he had a way of making you feel bad for him because he is just so dumb and clueless. Here I feel Tin is dumb, but I still want to hold him accountable, so I get pulled out of the comedy a little more in this one. The Japanese version did the comedy aspect better hands down.
These comments are so funny. Nitiman has got me the most interested right now besides Be Loved In House: I Do. I am so excited for another week of nothing!! Give it to me Thailand!!
Seriously, what the fuck? This has become one of the worst BLs I have ever seen. NOTHING happens, basically. I…
You're one of my favorite commenters. Indeed, Kaownah, who plays Song is very talented! I think Jin is so adorable. He is not even that chubby, but his chubbiness makes him more adorable. I see what Bbomb sees.
Putting all of that aside, Bbomb has his faults as well. He is overly jealous and very controlling, although he has gotten better at it. I couldn't help but agree with what he said this episode. How can Bbomb trust Jin if Jin will not make their relationship public. Is it because Jin wants to flirt with other people without consequences?..
Jack probably is screwing with Bbomb's head. What Jack said was in the previews for this episode making me think what he said had some substance to it. But remember when Jack told Bbomb to "trust him" when he pushed SomSom onto Jin and told Bbomb to stay away? No doubt (in my head) he is doing the same things again.
Although, I see how in Jack and Aim's twisted minds they think they are helping.. If one little thing goes wrong, their shenanigans can ruin Bbomb and Jin's relationship. I love this show. Hah. I find I really like the push and pull between the main two. Plus, this show has more eye candy than most.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I enjoyed reading through them though I became angry at several points…
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I am aware of things like internalized homophobia, depression, etc. I did lack empathy towards this movie, I will give you that. I am also sorry about what you have gone through.
I am ignorant about AIDS. I am a virgin, so I do not know anything about AIDS transmission. Of course condoms are a thing, but I always did wonder about people that have partners with AIDS. I didn't know the pills did that. You are right I am ignorant in this.
Some movies I can understand but not this one. I am probably too sheltered and privileged, and I don't say that to make fun of you or be sarcastic. This movie did go over my head. I will say to you that one movie I have loved that tackles somewhat serious issues is "The Boys In The Band." It's on Netflix. I love that movie!!!
Everything else you said, I will acknowledge. I am not a gay man, and I am a zoomer. I just spoke my thoughts. Thanks for yours.
My theory is he knew he was attracted to Ball as soon as he saw him, so he was avoiding him to stay loyal to his…
He's been dating a girl since the beginning of the show. I don't remember exactly when they revealed it, but I think it was in the first episode or two.
I appreciated how they explored Pi's insecurities in FUTS and how that affected Pi and Mork's relationship. It's a lot more interesting when shows focus on character flaws in a relationship. I find it so much better than cheating and especially family drama.
It's unclear exactly what Bbomb and Jin's character flaws are though. Bbomb wants to be with Jin every second, and is protective. Jin is not good at communicating his feelings, and gets jealous/insecure easily.. How these traits will cause problems is a lot less predictable than FUTS. In FUTS, Pi is always pushing Mork away. Here, there is much more of a push and pull, and you never know where it will go.
The show is really interesting. I am glad Keam and Ball are developing, but I also want them to save stuff for season 2, so I don't know what's happening? Is Keam broke up with his girlfriend or not?
Let Jack in the band.. Lmao. And I know someone else has got to be Team Jack and SomSom besides me. I am eagerly waiting for the re-appearance.
Also I don't know if Turbo and Kaownah's characters are supposed to be a couple, but the production is shipping them. Or maybe they're shipping themselves. Lol. Like how that director guy said to Mark acting with Jin, "You don't need to be that worried about him. You make it look like you two are in love." On another note, I think Mark is genuine with Jin? So why keep playing that horror music? It's making me feel bad feelings for him that are not based.
Has second season been confirmed??? You are giving me hope 😁
The cast has said themselves there is supposed to be a season 2. I assume as long as this show is received well and they have the budget/sponsors, it will happen.
My memory is not the best and my weeks have been jumbled into each other but- was Keam not avoiding Ball last…
My theory is he knew he was attracted to Ball as soon as he saw him, so he was avoiding him to stay loyal to his girlfriend. This means he also felt awkward/nervous around him. Then when he started having problems with his gf and realizes they may not be together anymore, he starts to look at Ball as a real possibility, so he starts going after him. That makes him less awkward/nervous.
OK, I have to admit there were two totally adorable moments in this - Jin turning his head so Bbomb wouldn't see…
Apparently there is supposed to be a season 2 particularly for Keam/Ball. They said so in interviews. If we wanna see it, we gotta hope that season 2 happens.
This show is beginning to annoy me. Well, it is annoying me more than before, I should say. Main characters are…
I do not agree with you, but I do respect your opinions partly because they are so unfiltered and partly because they are funny. Especially at "psycho," "serial killer," and "creepy." I see where you are coming from. I'm glad that the majority does like this show though because I like when things I like get recognition.
I don't want to pirate against ThaiBLFan92 because I have watched so much of their subs in the past.. So I will just wait till it finishes and buy the subscription once to binge watch then cancel. I feel fine pirating against big companies.. but ThaiBLFan92. That's like pirating against myself. Lmao.
