Ep 6 broke my heart 1000 times over, and I loved it. I understand Sky 100%. Bank and Sky's phone call was so funny. Bank is also a king and I stan. Love to see you setting boundaries king. Mess Pitch up.
Please tell me this series has a good ending. Thanks. 😘✌🏼
Like comments say below, he retired from acting. People say he is doing normal people jobs now. I'm sure if he were still active, GMM would've gave him roles.
"Sir, would you like some BL with your product placement?" "No thanks, I'll have another serving of product placement,…
Exactly. One word: Frustrating!!! And next week there will be no confession. It will just be, "I'm just a bodyguard" talk the whole episode I swear. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I really like this show, but I am super disappointed in the misleading teasers. Why tease a kiss scene every week for two or three weeks to get no kiss scene? I feel like if they set up the expectations better, I would leave the episode feeling satisfied instead of feeling like I was tricked.
Are you a masochist or something? If I could go back in time and not watch any of this, I would. The acting was…
I am not a masochist. Lol. I mean, I have watched many sad and open endings. I don't even consider this a sad ending as we don't know what happened afterwards.
That was a fantastic watch. This show certainly did everything right. It is a type of BL/gay movie that was coming out of China before their ban. Things like this hit all the right places. 😁 I love to see BL doing it!!!
I hope everyone is enjoying this show. I have not felt any moment in this show is too cringe or too cliche. It is a genuinely good story with a couple with amazing chemistry. I just cannot get over how amazing actors both Gun and Boat are.
This whole bodyguard thing also is some deep fanfiction, weird novel stuff. When I get into Sun's head, yes, Sky's dad did not treat him that well. Sun has to do everything he is told to do, and while he was adopted, is treated less like a son and more like an employee. With that being said, Sun has not had many "normal" experiences like we all know. His life has always been about Sky before Sky ever met him. That is why when he meets Sky, someone who while being a Mafia boss' son is decently detached from that world, being treated as an equal is crazy to him.
I ask myself, how genuine is Sun's love for Sky? I wonder does Sun hold Sky on a pedestal in his head? There is some type of power dynamic going on between Sun and Sky because one is the young master while the other is the servant. These types of situations remind me of things like grooming, sexual assault, hostile work environments. While that is not what's happening with Sky and Sun, I wonder how much does this power dynamic affect Sun?
Sun is smart and he is agile, strong, many physical things.. but what about socially? Is he broken socially? He never had a traditional family, and never had friends... It is all too weird for me to digest. It would be easy for someone in Sun's position who has been living for Sky his whole life to fall in love with Sky. It is not much different from what he knows. I am sure through Sky, Sun will experience all types of things he should have experienced when he was younger because I think Sky will truly love him. There is nothing to worry about like abuse between them, but it is something to think about. I think the ultimate test to show how healthy their relationship is if in the future they are in an established relationship and Sky's father is okay with everything if Sky was willing to let Sun go. I know they need Sun because of the blood thing, so it would have to be Sky letting Sun go in a romantic way.
Surely the guy who supplies Sky's blood doesn't need to be his bodyguard though.. they already have endless supplies of Sun's blood from what I am aware of. Anyone could be his bodyguard. And I have an even deeper question.. can't you get transfused with your own blood? Why didn't they just collect Sky's blood for himself? Lmao.. I am going on a trip here.
But I think their love is great and Sun would choose Sky even if they weren't in this situation. You could say that even though technically Sun saves Sky from death in many situations that Sky is Sun's prince charming. Maybe I am off base there with some people, but Sky is treating Sun like no one has ever before. In every way, Sky came into Sun's world and treated him like a princess. I would say prince, but princes don't normally treat princes any particularly way. Well, not in standard fairytales.
So amazing.... People are saying this is not realistic, but women have definitely been saved by men in the past and taken under their wing and given anything they wanted. They may have had multiple wives though.... :/ We will skip that part and pretend we live in a world of true love and monogamy while watching this show.
If I compare it to light on me this is better, Light on me is stupid but not funny, if at least it was it was…
You have the right to say if you don't like something.. I dunno what's wrong with people...
But I agree with you. At first I was excited for Light On Me because it's 16 episodes and seems to be following Kdrama cliches, but it is too cliche to the point where it does become this "stupid" you describe. Golden Blood is such a gem, and I love it so much. I heard Light On Me has a video game, and I think there are different endings.. so that is probably why the characters are all so one-dimensional...
Only 3 episodes.. hmm. Well the second episode was pretty good. It was level up from the first. At the end, I hate seeing pretty girls cry, so that scene broke my heart so much. It'll be nice to see the story end with the 3rd episode.
In a way I am reminded of the Japanese two part movie Seven Days. This show has the same slow moving romance where it feels like nothing and everything is happening at the same time. I can't explain it that well, but the feelings while watching both is very similar. Both are very fulfilling, so I expect a fulfilling ending.
For the second couples, we will all cross our fingers for season 2! I personally think they ended this show a…
You're right. The best word to describe the plot is a conspiracy! Hahah. I found the beginning of episode 10 a huge shocker. I cannot believe they were having organized meetings this whole time! Mark being a fake really had me tickled. After Aim, Jack is the next #1 mastermind.
That scene with Arthit and Knot is also one of my favorites. If you remembered Knot's name, you have got to have some affinity towards SOTUS.. hmmmm. Lol.
Please tell me this series has a good ending. Thanks. 😘✌🏼
And two why is Saint the biggest on it even though he is only a support character... Lmao.
I get he's the producer, but I guess he assumed plastering his face will get more attention? I hope you succeed Saint.
Also congrats on getting this taken by Ch 3. I assume that means this series is at least of decent caliber.
It's nice to see an actor from I Am Your King 2 though. That alone may have encouraged me to watch the next episode.
Like I said, it reminds me of Chinese movies.
