This series is quite a bit different than the others, because there's a huge age difference and they've been a…
I think situations where they have been a family for a long time make it feel more dirty (in a sexy way). They are always sneaking behind their parent's backs. It reminds me of the step brothers from Love By Chance who I totally forgot their names.
Crossing The Line step brothers have one of the best step brother stories. Stay Away From Me is a step brother…
I am glad you found my long, long explanation helpful. Hahahah. I agree. Some people do not enjoy the new HIStory, but it is evolving. It is just not evolving in the way people may like. Lol.
Other people do not think My Engineer is unique, but for me RamKing is one of the best things that've happened so it's unique to me. But I admit the plot and etc are generic. I am speaking all from a personal point of view.
It's not like I actually care about the story but the writer seems to be promoting assualt, rape and toxic relationships…
You know, I definitely agree with you that people who like the XS and YJ storyline are not crazy monsters. I think they are people who are more open and may enjoy demented/messed up stories, but so do many people who enjoy watching murder mysteries and documentaries.
The most interesting thing you just said is XS determining if what happened was rape. I really never thought about it that way. I believe that we all choose our own battles, so XS can decide and think whatever he wants, but by definitions and legal documents, I think it is pretty easy to tell when something is rape. There is lots of documentation. That's how court cases are decided all the time, so it is XS's choice, but in this situation since XS was heavily intoxicated, and YJ who was fully conscious even said himself "I got you drunk on purpose," there is not much wiggle room there for me. XS of course can think whatever he wants though.
Why is it a fault in the writing if a character is complex? I'm not sure I got what you meant.Regarding XS, I…
To iterate more on Vicky, I definitely agree with that if the writer was trying to write YJ as a likeable character that it was a fail. It's easy just to write him off as crazy, disturbed (like you said) instead of complex. We can argue what is and is not complex. Most people do not call serial killers "complex people." They will call them mentally disturbed, insane, un-human. And I kind of just compared YJ to a serial killer.. Ooops. hahah.
Before this airs tomorrow (or later tonight in some parts of the world), I am predicting that this will just be another generic BL. It will be better than Tonhon Chonlatee but it will not be better than Sotus or have the unique feeling of something like My Engineer.
But I think it'll be really cute! I really like the cast. I bet it'll be funny too.
Crossing The Line step brothers have one of the best step brother stories. Stay Away From Me is a step brother…
In both of them they hate each other and then they confess and then happily ever after. Sweet stories.
I don't know if you want to know but I will tell you.
In Crossing The Line, the plot is brother 1 is super in love with his brother (brother 2). Brother 2 has a brother complex and follows brother 1 everywhere trying to take care of him. Brother 1 is too deeply affected by this and is constantly running away from brother 2 and giving brother 2 the silent treatment. He does it because he's scared his feelings are growing too strong, and this makes brother 2 really sad.
The other main plot is Brother 1 also has a secret admirer that's a girl. And she comes to brother 2 to help ask for help with getting brother 1. Brother 2 keeps the girl away from brother 1 on purpose (and he claims he doesn't know why he does it.. lol). Brother 2 is always contacting and talking to the girl pretending he is giving her gifts and etc to brother 1 but he never actually does.. He is tricking her and she is too shy to approach brother 1 herself. So brother 1 sees them hanging out and gets super jealous thinking his secret admirer is his brother's (brother 2's) girlfriend. One day brother 2 over hears brother 1 saying his feelings because brother 1 is trying to come to terms that brother 2 won't love him.. But obviously when brother 2 over hears they talk and then are happily ever after.
That was long.
Stay Away From Me is much more simple. Two brother who's parents get married start living in the same apartment because their parents said so. Their parents want them to get to know each other. At first they really, really hate each other. One is a celebrity and kind of entitled. The other is a nerdy college student. Then by living together (and lots of super cute moments) they secretly fall in love with each other.
One brother's best friend is a fujoshi and does a weird trick that makes both of the brother's think the other confessed to them. It was through two letters she forged. I will not explain more because it will not come out right. The trick is kind of confusing. Just know each one thinks the other confessed to them. Then basically they have a big misunderstanding and are like.. "We can't love each other! We're step brothers!" And they have a big falling out, but they wouldn't have confessed otherwise without the fujoshi friend (it's like the climax of the story). Eventually they make up and are happily ever after.
In both shows, we never meet the parents of either. I think that's interesting. HIStory 4 has more depth in that way. I guess because HIStory 1 is so short and in HIStory 2 it's only a secondary couple so they don't get extra stuff. In Crossing The Line there are no parents of the main characters either though. I guess it's all because of the length and show budget.
OMG.. He has the same swooped over hair and leather jacket and everything. He even has the blinding, cheesy smile.…
No wonder I am so familiar with what you are saying. I saw that show as well (although it was years! ago), but completely forgot I saw it. Goodluck to Siwon in his career. Hah.
It's not like I actually care about the story but the writer seems to be promoting assualt, rape and toxic relationships…
Lol. I live for calling things trash. But have we considered the option that these actors may actually find their characters interesting? A lot of the events that have unfolded are not moral, but it may actually be fun or interesting to act out controversial scenes. OR they may actually be doing it for fame and/or money. Anything is possible.
So far it's progressing smoothly, I actually like it a lot more than I did before.I'm not super crazy over the…
!!!!!! <-- exclamations of agreement
Xingsi's internalized homphobia may be the saddest part of this show. He is so charming and respectable but he doubts himself so much; breaks my heart.
It's getting to the point for me that I cannot NOT see Siwon every time Charles Tu is on screen. The character…
OMG.. He has the same swooped over hair and leather jacket and everything. He even has the blinding, cheesy smile. If he added on a few years, they'd be undiscernable (lol)!
Good thing I am not a huge Super Junior fan so I can forget this idea you have implanted into my head.
I heard someone bring up the fact that Yongjie said he noticed that Mu Ren liked Licheng in the beginning of the series. I really like the idea of Muren liking Licheng first. Mu Ren is really cool and is always dressed in top designer clothes (come thru wardrobe team!!!!). He's the coolest man in the office. Yet here he is swooning and crumbling to Licheng. I like the idea of this couple very much.
I like that for this couple there are many Mu Ren biased and many Licheng biased. It's not super unbalanced like Sarawat and Tine.. hahah. I am team Mu Ren here! Can't wait to see his smile more in upcoming episodes.
But seriously though, what's up with History and stepbrothers? First, Stay Away From Me, then Crossing the Line,…
Crossing The Line step brothers have one of the best step brother stories. Stay Away From Me is a step brother story as well.. maybe that one is better. Not sure. Hmm. Lol.
