I guess one of the best moment is when Maestro accompanying Hibiki on Violin. He mentioned something about not rushing to Hibiki after the contest 5 years ago and now he guided her with the piano how to "calm down" at certain part of the song.
I have mixed feeling with this. Overall it was just an okay-ish drama with IMAICHI plot but the production was "premium" with all the shots and scenery. There were some good moments but at the same time there were also draggy ones. The characters of Maestro could have been better with different actor IMO. Nishijima was too cool to be clumsy that his awkwardness felt so unnatural....lol reminds me of Fukuyama Masaharu in Shudan Sasen. I know he played almost the same character in Shinhannin Flag but that drama's selling point was the suspense and mystery.
This is surprisingly fun!! I have low expectation as it's Aiba's drama and I'm not fans of Arashi....but it turned out better than expected. They could go wrong with many things with this kind of manga LA, but it looks like they have the right formula to make the drama interesting especially making the side characters just right for the MC instead of trying to overshadow him (as I personally think Aiba has weak screen presence).
The comedy part was also nice and there were some cross over with other dramas.
This is a unique medical suspense in the sense that it has fresh characters. The mystery was also interesting but not necessarily unique, but you will stay until the end to know who's the real culprit.
They intentionally chose male actors with 180++ to be in the drama so the height difference is prominent...lol
The drama was okay. The first 2 episodes wasn't that interesting and felt too forced on the financial side TBH...but the 3rd episode onwards was better. If you're fans of Hashimoto Kanna this drama is for you.

I only heard these 3 songs from this drama TBH so I don't know about this band....but I guess Orange had that familiar Jpop arrangement with catchy melody that makes it easier to digest lol...even the guitar part from Orange sounded much like Hoshino Gen songs
Not serious but a fun drama. Perfect for casual watch and you could participate in solving the puzzle too. Interestingly they had Oda's descendant to play Oda Nobunaga.
Entertaining but it is set to have multiple seasons. Imagine this one ended in cliffhanger just right after things got interesting. Before that it was mainly just the backstories. As a season finale it was too opened and unsatisfactory IMO (I wish we got to at least see Sakura's power developed). Luckily it only has 6 episodes.
One thing I find good about this drama is its consistency in writing the mentality of the 3 main characters which is around middle school age (13 - 15). They were just rightly naive-ed and weren't super matured or unnaturally idealist.
Other part of writing was good too especially the "stage play" kind of dialogues by the Lightning Bolt...LoL
If you like the variety program, Seishun Gakko you may like this one too. I don't watch that so this drama just felt okay-ish to me. The mystery doesn't make sense. It was just there so that these Seishun Gakko talents could appear on screen. This was their first time acting in drama according to the BTS episode they posted on TV Tokyo YT channel.
This drama was okay but it didn't have interesting characters you can root for. 13 episodes seemed too long for this and yet they still failed to create good chemistry between Asuka and Jumbo Sensei.
Where I can watch the last ep please tell.. dying waiting . It's not on dramacool yet
Hey, just to inform you that Drama Otaku is currently opened for registration. They will close in few days so hopefully you can join them ASAP. Otherwise you'll have to wait for the next month intake.
i thought in 1600, the japanese are very conservative and anti foreigners, but surprise so many converted to christian....
Many converted to Christian during Nobunaga time which was around 1570's. The leaders after that i.e. Hideyoshi and Tokugawa were not so friendly with Christians. Finally the isolation of Japan done during Tokugawa Shogunate.
If you're interested in the history and don't mind low budget production you can watch a Taiga Drama, Nobunaga King of Zipangu. It was told from the perspective of Lois Frois, the Portuguese mercenaries. Very very truthful to the historical event without the gimmick.
Don't know why you see that English perspective so bad. It's a book and a movie, created from the imagination…
Please read my comment again...2 or 3 times then perhaps you will understand. It seemed like you confused this person with another person though....lol

Well...most of the historical Japanese dramas produced by Japanese quite truthful to the history I would say...of course with some fictional elements.
But don't get me wrong. This one is based on Novel so it doesn't have to be historically correct/accurate in the first place...but promoting it as based on true historical event is really not so right either. I'm talking about their marketing team....as well as the marketing for the James Clavell's novel.
Excellent, loved the first two episodes. Just my cup of tea.I haven't read the original novel, but have seen the…
You may want to watch it for the sake of entertainment but I guess this is too loose to the history. I haven't started watching this yet, but their special Youtube video about backstory was too far from the actual history especially the so called "peace" during Hideyoshi time. Not to mention Ishida Mitsunari isn't really on the same league as Tokugawa Ieyasu to make these 2 person a rival.

Hi, I think this person @Nauriya has a valid point. According to the criteria to put a drama/movie in MDL database it must be produced/co-produced by the countries listed in MDL, which is seemed like not met by this series at first glance. However that's actually not the case as Sanada's name was listed as one of the producers.
It's nothing to do with western perspective or asian prespective. We have many westernized Asian dramas/movies already....not to mention Asian works adapted from western books or literature.
The comedy part was also nice and there were some cross over with other dramas.
Binge-worthy. Rewatch-worthy.

Will watch Season 2 for sure!

The "council of 5" is actually a "council of 10" if you want to be politically correct with the historical event.
As what I have wrote before Ishido is never at the same league as Toranaga...that alone is a far stretch.
But as far as the novel goes it is all good.
