Sorry for sudden reply on old message....but it looks like Japanese used "maison" for a mansion because they already…
oh about the word, i always thought maison is equivalent to mansion in english...so it's not?
in japan they used maison for house that is bigger....that normally called mansion in english...
about this drama, it's about a "mansion sharehouse" where the tenants are seevral retired police officers...name of this house is "maison de police"...MC will seek help from them to solve cases
Why is the title in French? This is the first time I've seen it.
Sorry for sudden reply on old message....but it looks like Japanese used "maison" for a mansion because they already used word "mansion" for different type of house...LoL that is the one that looks like high-end (could be high-rise) apartment...
Then again they can't use "apartment" (or "apato" in Jap) for that high-rise because apato is being used for another type of smaller cheap flats... xD sounds complicated?
Good recap, thanks so much for this! I've watched quite a few Jdramas this year, more than usual anyway (thank…
It was my bad...i was confused in choosing between english and japanese titles, but decided to use japnese title unless it was netflix....so tthat's probably the reason why we have duplicated entries....
I haven't watched many jdramas this year, so I think i won't be able to participate in the MDL award Japan. If…
Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita is damn good...you won't regret it! :) I see you have Naked Director in your PTW list... i'm currently watching it and find it's a great one too despite the AV theme... can't give out more to avoid spoiler
Rewatched this the other day....still a better drama with character side-stories did not overdo the main plot....at least the main plot is much stronger and was there not to just bring people together like in some of Sakamoto's other writing....
Also had the chance to listen carefully to what was written in that first letter from Hikoboshi to Harika....it was confusing a little (the last time I watched it) but it's much more clear now...yay!!
Caution: This movie is dialogs heavy! So it might not suit everyone...but as I watched it with a relatively good…
My favorite part from the whole movie is in the last dialogs between Anri (Sugisaki Hana) and Satoshi (Takasugi Mahiro). To me "that suggestion" by Anri is the strongest part of the whole writings and because of that i rate it 8/10
Caution: This movie is dialogs heavy! So it might not suit everyone...but as I watched it with a relatively good subtitle, i can say that it's not as bad as what some of the reviews were telling...although it's not psychological and the message is rather straight forward, the characters interactions are the highlight of this movie...i think this is the type of movie that is more suitable to watch alone at home at night than in theater with someone
Not a bad drama, but definitely not for me. The slice of life feel was just right with spot on instrumental background musics used for opening and as insert song. However I think this type of story would resonate more on female viewers than it would for a guy. A bit boring at the beginning when the focus was only on "physical relationship" but the drama picked up after episode 4 or 5 when more stories from surrounding people got involved in the plot.
As like with most jdramas, you can't judge by reading the synopses. This one has a MEH synopsis, but they execute the story well with realistic characters. You will get POV from different levels of people, idols, otakus, normal person...so it's easy to relate no matter if you're into "that" culture or not.
And then during the first few episodes, they experimented with all type of cameras they could have from gopro to 360 to the handheld camera...LOL...this created a unique vibe and while viewers were wondering on the genre or story direction they would already hooked into the drama without realizing it.
As a non-otaku, i leaned many things from this drama. Highly recommended! 8.5/10
Yeayy...finally finished! But to be honest the only drive to watch the episodes in this season is curiosity to know the culprit...feel a bit less impactful (and draggy at some places) than the 1st season IMO....still a good drama to watch though! 8.5/10
Not so bad if you love business theme especially Ikeido Jun's. The sport tag might mislead people into thinking the usual sport drama, but this show is something else as the story is told from the management (not team manager/coach) point of view. So less sport heartwarming stuffs here, but more into harsh reality and a bit of business politics.
But the subtitle is not the best....if you're not familiar with basic Japanese sentence, you might get lost in translation...haha...however I must say I'm thankful to the subber because without him/her I wouldn't be able to watch this.

Overall a good episodic drama to pass time...I wish the cases could be more interesting though
Not bad drama: I Turn, Ie Uru Onna 2, Confidence Man JP SP, No Side Game
So-so drama: Keiji Zero, Mukai no Bazuru Kazoku, Temp Staff Ataru, Channel wa Sono Mama, Setsuyaku Rock, Eien no Nispa, Nagi no Oitoma
A bit disappointing drama: 3 Nen A Gumi, Shudan Sassen
A bit lame: Oshii Keiji, Maison de Police, Shosetsu O
