Seriously, The Great White Tower aka Shiroi Kyouto should be on the list for Japan! It's the basis for all modern medical drama involving (university) hospital politics, and surgeons vs internal medicine doctors.
My favorite from Japan would be Iryu Team Medical Dragon as the story involves many levels of medical staffs (genius surgeon, intern, surgeon who strive for proffesor-ship, anaesthesiologist, med. engineer, internal med. doctor, scrub nurse, etc) unlike the typical medical drama that focus on the surgeons alone.

Apart from that, my English is bad, as it's not the language I use in daily life. But, I don't really mind if people laugh at it or find it awkward or what so ever. What bothering me is if the readers can't get the points of my article or they will easily get bored or even intimidated by the wrong usage of words.
Lastly, I afraid the topic that I choose for an article doesn't suit the demographic on MDL. I don't want it to be self-centered kind of article which should be published on personal blog instead.

Overall this is an interesting drama with Kudo Kankuro style of story development (i.e. WTF levels of craziness) but with lots of emotions just like Amachan. The plot seems cliche, but the jokes, emotions, and awkwardness are what made the drama different from the usual stuffs. The characters consist of different generations and backgrounds and as you go you will learn how they could end up so close to each other.
Another thing worth to mention about this drama is that, although the theme is "girl power" it didn't have to label men with the stereotype or unnecessarily make male characters inferior as what other "female oriented" dramas tend to do.
I only watched first few episodes of 2012 remake when it was airing then decided not to continue. That was partially because I was too lazy to wait for the sub and mainly because I just couldn't take Akira's portrayal of Onizuka.
The 1998 version is one of my earliest dramas and it always has special place in my heart. The idea was so refreshing at that time. Who would have thought to make TV school drama with the main character teacher watching porn in his house?...LOL To me 1998 GTO is simply a REVOLUTIONARY drama!
The 2012 version came some years later, when the viewers have seen similar tropes again and again (in so many other dramas). Nothing new in the remake in terms of uniqueness except for the makeup of the actors that look much similar to manga characters, alongside additional characters that did not appear in 1998 version plus continuation of the stories from later volumes of manga.
But the main thing the remake was lacking is the "pervert + annoying + clumsy + bragging" side of Onizuka that was creatively portrayed by Sorimachi in the 1998 version with a bit of tone down to suits live action.
About Fuyutsuki, the character is stereotypical Japanese "madonna sensei". Therefore whoever plays the role did not matter that much as long the actress has what it takes to be labeled as "madonna". Matsushima Nanako is a great actor, so no wonder her presence left a big impact to the 1998 version. What I like about her is her cute facial expression whenever she's sulking, angry or jealous...haha
PS: As always, I like this versus article....hopefully to see more of it! Maybe just on a single drama instead of 2? preferably opposite opinions

To me this looks more like a publicity or "cheap" marketing than a complain...I don't watch many korean movies and don't watch most kdramas, but is there any example of korean film/drama out there that stay truth to history without over-romanticizing the side characters?
Okay not so bad considering this drama was repeating the same pattern as S1. Some of the cases were damn funny and Sangenya solutions were ridiculous but will make you ROFL. Overall, Shirasu Mika is still the best in this 2nd season!!
Wow this drama is tackling on some complex issues. It makes you think and put you on the characters shoes. The most important thing is the situations portrayed in this drama are damn close to reality. Although it's written in women perspective, it didn't simply condemn men with the stereotype. This is a bit heavy emotionally and very intriguing. I only rate this 8.5/10, but this is a must watch!!
Very short series. First episode was so-so but 2nd and 3rd were quite good. The comedy was more into slapstick style, but good enough to watch if you have a free time.
Yes, Meng got it right! Another famous theme would be "Affair in the Afternoon of the Danchi's Wife" or Danchizuma Hirusagari :P But nowadays the trend is more on NTR which can also be combined with the themes above. Sorry for the unrelated info...lol

I would say the mystery is quite good. Despite mystery dramas tend to disappoint you with the revelation at the final episode, this one did it the right way in my opinion!! I have seen countless of worst ending than this in Jap mysteries....so this definitely won't disappoint you like what SOME people have said!
But the stories continues, so it's still too early to judge....nonetheless to me this first part worth 9/10, potentially the best mystery this year?
Too bad the story is quite nice for slice of life, but something was wrong with the direction! It did not feel heartwarming at all despite the friendship, and family tags. Some scenes were shot as if this was a mystery drama...LOL Some of the background musics did not match the scenes and some were too good that made you concentrate on the musical arrangement instead of the story.
Haha...Kyo Kara Ore Wa jokes didn't work on me too, and TBH even Metantei jokes were slightly better in my opinion. The only thing that made me watched till the end for Kyo Ore was the fight scenes and the conflicts between the delinquents..
