Yeayy...finally finished! But to be honest the only drive to watch the episodes in this season is curiosity to know the culprit...feel a bit less impactful (and draggy at some places) than the 1st season IMO....still a good drama to watch though! 8.5/10
Not so bad if you love business theme especially Ikeido Jun's. The sport tag might mislead people into thinking the usual sport drama, but this show is something else as the story is told from the management (not team manager/coach) point of view. So less sport heartwarming stuffs here, but more into harsh reality and a bit of business politics.
But the subtitle is not the best....if you're not familiar with basic Japanese sentence, you might get lost in translation...haha...however I must say I'm thankful to the subber because without him/her I wouldn't be able to watch this.

Never have the opportunity yet (read: no budget LoL)....The temperature is usually around 30-35 celcius here...but could raise to 38-40 in some areas during elnino. I guess it's still an okay temperature...but with global warming it's a bit hot at night.

Sorry for the late reply...i have received the notification mail but couldn't find free time to logon to MDL... To answer your question, I live in Malaysia, so it's summer throughout the year.. xD

Okay nice to know that..i will still watch it nonetheless!
On a slightly off-topic note: It's not that I watch many movies, but I observed some J directors like to use that when there are time skips in the story...yes just like you said, if the present time is summer..then you'll have a quick frame transition of autumn, snows then the sakura bloom...to indicate a year has passed (example jmovie "sweet bean")...this is sometimes happening very quickly so for a person who are not living in 4 seasons area, it's a bit hard to get the feeling of time passes...it's like my mind understand but takes a while to digest it...LOL...i haven't seen this style in hollywood or even korean though...

Thanks for the explanations!
About the movie, I will put it on my PTW now (no more in mind)...haha....
Actually I prefer if it could be longer like drama though than 3 movies....as with japanese style, their film tend to time-skipped with very hard to notice ques like seasonal change and summer clothing (as i don't experience the 4 seasons my self)
Non usual topic but very informative....I am the type who don't usually notice on these things as long as I could impressed with the writing/plot....so it's nice to learn about new stuffs and thank you for writing the article!
On a different note, I haven't yet watch any of the kenshin movies. It's always on my imaginary PTW list, but in the end I always prioritize to watch dramas...lol (which is what usually happened to me when I want to watch any movies, west and asian)
The effort for making this drama is deserving some compliments. But with 1 hour plus duration, nothing much could be squeezed in.
Overall it feels more of a tribute than a solid drama. The writer chose to sensationalized the meeting between Matsuura and Ainu's woman, Rise and therefore lose the focus on the exploration (adventure and discoveries) part of the story.
At the end of the drama, there is a quick history facts trivia (like NHK taiga drama) where you would see the actual books written by Matsuura as well as the unpublished/banned title(s). Unfortunately there's no subtitle for that...haha!
Overall a good watch but don't expect anything amazing either. If you're a fan of Sawamura Ikki or Takimoto Miori or both, this drama will not disappoint you! 8/10
I had not seen it I am sorry I ran out of time, you did Recommend it too.
LoL I did? But tbh I didn't watch the drama in full too (as I watched on local tv and missed several episodes especially the early ones), that's why I never put it on my completed list. Now it's difficult to find the drama online even if you want to watch it. Good news is we have a 2019 remake of the same title, but as usual NO sub...lol
Seriously, The Great White Tower aka Shiroi Kyouto should be on the list for Japan! It's the basis for all modern medical drama involving (university) hospital politics, and surgeons vs internal medicine doctors.
My favorite from Japan would be Iryu Team Medical Dragon as the story involves many levels of medical staffs (genius surgeon, intern, surgeon who strive for proffesor-ship, anaesthesiologist, med. engineer, internal med. doctor, scrub nurse, etc) unlike the typical medical drama that focus on the surgeons alone.
Nice article! I always wanted to write one, but I find myself sucks at making a short but comprehesive kind of writing, even for comments on a post in feeds for example...lol.
Apart from that, my English is bad, as it's not the language I use in daily life. But, I don't really mind if people laugh at it or find it awkward or what so ever. What bothering me is if the readers can't get the points of my article or they will easily get bored or even intimidated by the wrong usage of words.
Lastly, I afraid the topic that I choose for an article doesn't suit the demographic on MDL. I don't want it to be self-centered kind of article which should be published on personal blog instead.
