Finally finished watching this. There are few issues that I will write in spoiler below.
The bad: 1. Unnecessarily and cheaply riding on the popularity of 3 nen A gumi. And what with every class member appear as cameo on each episode??? 2. The mystery looks promising and interesting at the beginning, but the way they unfold it sometimes felt funny (waraeneei yooo!!!) 3. Too many plot twists that just felt lame and laughable at times despite they're not part of comedies of the show. 4. Despite trying to outsmart and impressed viewer with plot twists, some of the twists are cliche and predictable. 5. Judging from the ending, there's possibility they would make an SP or Movie, which totally unnecessary 6. Not realistic considering Japan police don't simply fire their gun. They should create parallel world (like Atami no Sousakan) if they want to do something like this 7. Last episode was too preachy with morals and so on...after all that unethical conducts??
The good: 1. Wow!! This drama has many well known actors...it looks like they enjoyed their acting as they could brush up their skills more with something like this 2. Most actors done well to balance out Kaku Kento's overacting 3. Second part of the drama (ep6 onward) felt much more calming to watch (if you know what I mean) 4. The fighting scene might help you stay with the drama
After all, this is an amazing drama and the writing (especially for Kuwano's character) is consistent with what…
I really wish some characters from S1 would make a cameo, especially Kaneda...but unfortunately it did not happen, but we do have special lines dedicated for them in the dialogues: 1. Hayakawa Sensei: When Kuwano is sent to the hospital, he said to his bro in law not to tell the woman doctor 2. Michiru (Kuninaka's character): Kuwano said to Madoka he would save a sick person even if he has to enter through the veranda 3. Kaneda: There was missed-call from Kaneda in episode 7, in ep9 there's car model drove by Kaneda in S1, in ep10 Yakumaru met Kaneda in countryside...
After all, this is an amazing drama and the writing (especially for Kuwano's character) is consistent with what we have seen in S1. My only regret is that, see below:
I don't care about what are in the list as they are popular dramas list not good/excellent dramas list. My only concern though, is the overall style of this video which in my opinion could be improved next time... 1. Please make the video's duration shorter unless if you have a voice over 2. Please use more suitable song/music for chart-like video 3. Please use Stereo version of the music...those used in this video are all (intentionally/unintentionally) sounded Mono
It's not that I have any recommendation actually, but somehow you know...when I see strange things on the internet, I just couldn't help myrself from commenting/asking...LoL I hope you can forgive me about that...haha
No worries! It's you list. I was just curious when I saw the number 10k. Because as I wrote on my edited comment above, even a popular Jdrama only has 5k watchers.
My point is if 10k is the threshold, then almost all the least watched countries dramas would be in the list...not to mention older dramas. These dramas could be well hyped among their small fans, it's just the number might be lesser than 10k in MDL. I guess this will defeat the purpose of this list, is it not? Maybe the rating is much more appropriate for a criteria?
EDIT: Just checked Hanzawa Naoki, one of the most hyped Japanese drama and it has only 4,870 watchers in MDL.
Hi, firstly I must say this new voting feature is awesome!!
However, it would be nice to have a separate ability between adding title/person and voting.
From what we have now, a title/person would only be there when someone's voting for it. I don't think this is ideal as sometime a title/person won't just pop up off your mind (especially the older one) when you want to vote. Or you might have missed some that could've be more of your favorite because no one is voting for it yet. That's why a pre-listed title/person would be more helpful. And adding a title/person shouldn't necessarily mean you're voting for it.
Another problem is when you add/vote many entries, it would be hard to re-order them when you change your mind in the future.
This drama stucked on my CW list for a while, so I kind of happy that finally could finish it.I'm not a fan of…
The cases felt too easy to be solved by Miss Sherlock in the sense that when you watch it, you won't realized she already solved it...unlike other dramas of same genre where viewers would be invited to keep guessing throughout the episode. I did not get that feeling in this one...
This drama stucked on my CW list for a while, so I kind of happy that finally could finish it. I'm not a fan of the original Sherlock, so can't comment whether this drama is a good spin off of that or not.... but this is definitely something that I won't recommend to investigation genre fans. Why? (see comment below)
This is one of my least favorite genre that I don't think I could handle...just seeing the ending credit of 1 Litre with the actual girl photos, had made me skipped this drama... not because it's bad but because I know it would be a painful journey... :(
It looks like the term has become a big deal in later years but bromance has long existed among men (in reality)...and even many Hollywood stuffs have this since long ago....just look at any of the double male lead cops one...then you will have bromance...in fact all movies and dramas will have one as long as there are 2 or more main male leads in it...
With the rebranding of bromance as we saw lately some fans could easily confused it with boys romance...some others started to relate bromance with good looking metrosexual guys wearing fancy clothing only....which misled the term...
Sorry, but this one is a MEH drama...the selling point is Nishikido Ryo and Araki Yuko...that's all. The plot is what japanese would usually say "Yoku Aru Pattern".
The "episodic crime cases" were over-thought to the point it would not make sense anymore. The main case (that would be revealed at the end) was okay thanks to the actor who played the antagonist role.
I could write 3 pages full of reasons why I dislike this, but it would only leave negative vibe on this comment section. The only thing deserve praise is how they were carefully not leaving any plot-holes on the cases.
Overall, this only deserve 7/10...but i added 0.5 for their effort to not leave any plot flaws on each of the crime cases.

Other dramas: Kokoro no Kizu, Kotoki Brothers, Zetsumeshi, Theseus no Fune and of course Kirin ga Kuru.
Wait and see list: Alibi breaking, Yameru toki
Hanzawa Naoki S2 is like an urban legend already...have been waiting from 2014 until now but never be realized...LoL
And yes I didn't watch all of above too...
