This drama stucked on my CW list for a while, so I kind of happy that finally could finish it. I'm not a fan of the original Sherlock, so can't comment whether this drama is a good spin off of that or not.... but this is definitely something that I won't recommend to investigation genre fans. Why? (see comment below)
This is one of my least favorite genre that I don't think I could handle...just seeing the ending credit of 1 Litre with the actual girl photos, had made me skipped this drama... not because it's bad but because I know it would be a painful journey... :(
It looks like the term has become a big deal in later years but bromance has long existed among men (in reality)...and even many Hollywood stuffs have this since long ago....just look at any of the double male lead cops one...then you will have bromance...in fact all movies and dramas will have one as long as there are 2 or more main male leads in it...
With the rebranding of bromance as we saw lately some fans could easily confused it with boys romance...some others started to relate bromance with good looking metrosexual guys wearing fancy clothing only....which misled the term...
Sorry, but this one is a MEH drama...the selling point is Nishikido Ryo and Araki Yuko...that's all. The plot is what japanese would usually say "Yoku Aru Pattern".
The "episodic crime cases" were over-thought to the point it would not make sense anymore. The main case (that would be revealed at the end) was okay thanks to the actor who played the antagonist role.
I could write 3 pages full of reasons why I dislike this, but it would only leave negative vibe on this comment section. The only thing deserve praise is how they were carefully not leaving any plot-holes on the cases.
Overall, this only deserve 7/10...but i added 0.5 for their effort to not leave any plot flaws on each of the crime cases.
I like this guy...I never get "that" annoying feeling when watching his drama....unlike the other fangirl-ed male actors....his limitation is lack of screen presence IMO...therefore he could been easily overshadowed by "stronger presence" one...one example is Legal V...Surprised that he looks much more shorter than 173cm though...
Spark is damn good...the drama is damn slow though, but the realistic-ness is priceless! Except "that" very very last scene on last episode...LoL
On the series drama I have watched all except for the BL one....Kind of reasonable to chose Hiragi Sensei as the best, but to me Tomei na Yurikago was better in many aspects....Hiragi Sensei was relying mostly on Suda and the initial impact during first few episodes only
Watch this if you: 1. Want to see good acting 2. Love politics 3. Interested in this particular history event
Don't watch if you: 1. Want to see different plot than what is in history 2. Want to see action like wars or sword fight 3. Expecting a love (romance) sub-plot 4. Want to learn about Oda or Toyotomi from scratch
Never liked boyband concept regardless of west or east...but these guys and their songs are all over in jdramas so I can't say I dislike them either...and some of their dramas are my favorite too....have not been fascinated by their singing though
Brilliant synopsis, not so brilliant execution with so-so acting ability from the main lead. It has potential but felt kind of ON and OFF in several places. Few episodes before last kind of engaging until the lame finale.
Watch it if you want to see japanese lead actor that conform to "kpop standard" in terms of look. Otherwise, keep your internet bandwidth or hard disk space for other stuffs!
7 for the drama and 0.5 for its short duration so can be binged in few hours. Total = 7.5/10

Other dramas: Kokoro no Kizu, Kotoki Brothers, Zetsumeshi, Theseus no Fune and of course Kirin ga Kuru.
Wait and see list: Alibi breaking, Yameru toki
Hanzawa Naoki S2 is like an urban legend already...have been waiting from 2014 until now but never be realized...LoL
And yes I didn't watch all of above too...
