What a letdown...not sure how the manga is, but the writing really needs more work on it...too many plotholes and lack of logic in terms of human action and thinking...if not for the actors this drama is a flop...still watchable though and it creates enough curiosity for you to know what happen next...but yeah still far from any other time-slip dramas

7.5/10 (Because of the kids and Suzuki Ryohei)

Title The Antique
If you have watched the series, you will know the story already...but the new writing is nicely done in my opinion with more stories on what happened in the past..

However, few minutes into the movie was kind of rushed and skippy...especially during the first meeting of Shioriko and Daisuke...after that the pace was slow but just right for the theme. The climax of the movie was at the right time, so you would get that satisfaction despite the slow beginning.

Nice scenery and Southern All Stars song at the end wrapped up the movie nicely.

7.5/10

Lots of funny moments than the first one, but less is better....so I like the previous one more than this one...overall it's still worth your time

Overall this is an okay drama but it lacks the power to generate curiosity, so after one episode viewers wouldn't care to watch the next...usually fine for movie because you would just sit for 2 hours then done...for series, you need that damn cliffhanger otherwise people don't bother to continue...

It's okay to shoot in colors, but why does:
1. Everyone's house look like a love hotel?
2. Everyone's house look like it was designed by the same interior designer?
3. Everyone use the L-shape sofa with lots of pillows?
4. Everyone have same taste in fashion?
5. Everyone wear matching clothes when they're in same place?
6. Everyone go to the same hair shop?

Interesting drama, a little mysandric perhaps. Also i'd like to see one about male empowerment for a change. In…
I think misandric was a bit too much, but yeah I agree the writing was going into that direction but they did try to make it as diplomatic as possible....nonetheless it was full of feminism dream that don't even realistic but you can't say it out loud otherwise you will be labeled as sexist...haha

For the justice of the writer, FL didn't sleep around with men though...she chose men with good genes and ask their permission to have the baby....which sounded diplomatic and fair but at the same time you know what that was...if she's rich enough she could just have some sperm from the bank and wouldn't even need to do sex...LoL

There was even more MEH writing than that though especially towards the end where Eriko's son said he was happy even if he live with single mom without even think of the needs of having a father...which in my opinion cheesy and too dream-like statement...

How hard is it to pass a middle school exam in Japan?
Interesting question. I never been to Japan, but from dramas it looks like the exam is for private (therefore better/prestigious) school entrance only...you could still go to public school without taking the exam....from what I understand, but I might be wrong

And here I am loving her for that. hahahaIf I remember well, she wasn't like this in 35 Kokosei. No idea about…
Yes you got a point there!! It is just me and not only restricted to her but other actors too especially those who always carry (or forced to carry) the same vibe in all of their work...more like branding than acting a different character...

I only watched until S3 because I just can't take Yonekura anymore....in your trivia about her stylish walk and clothing, that's how she appears in other dramas too (at least those that I watched, not sure about Kaseifu or 35 Kokosei)...

Plotwise, Doctor X is female version of Black Jack but with license...it's interesting to see all the medical actions...but my problem is I have enough of Yonekura..

PS: Nice article nonetheless!!

Nice review! teringin nk tngok drama taiga tapi bnyk sngt episod (asadora pun T_T pernah tngok 1 asadora..tajuknya…
Oh yang pasal Taiga drama ni mmg susah sikit nak berjinak-jinak...tapi kalau dah terjebak mcm payah nak stop....Asadora lebih kepada life, tapi Taiga politik dia agak lebih sikit...

Tapi bila tgk banyak Taiga drama ni rasa dah tak payah nak study political science dah rasanya...semua yg belaku dekat malaysia baru2 ni lebih kurg je mcm plot cerita Taiga drama....haha

Sebenarnya salah org kalau tanya saya...haha...sebab saya main bantai je tulis review...kalau tgk review dari user lain pun diorg ikut suka hati je...takde ikut format sangat.

Tapi tak kiralah macam mana pun, review memang sepatutnya pendapat peribadi....jadi betul lah tu soalan awak...yg komen tu saya tak tahu lah kenapa dia kata banyak sangat "I"....mungkin dia maksudkan dari segi cara penulisan?....tapi saya english lagi teruk so susah jugak nak nilaikan...

Awak punya review saya dah baca dan rasanya okay je...kalau review yang power boleh tengok user RealDeal (tak sure ejaan)...biasanya dia punya review deep sikit....

Additional info:
1. It's about Goh-hime, the daughter of Maeda Tohiie, not to be confused with Goh-hime daughter of Azai (Oda's niece)
2. This is in my opinion not a sequel to Rikyu (1989) as what have been claimed by IMDB, because they were based on real people in history and "Basara The Pricess Goh" time-line just happened after the event of the earlier one. Source materials came from 2 different sources too. Although same director in charged for both movies.

I think about 70% of Japanese music that I like are discovered through drama and anime...Although I only watch few animes, most of the songs caught me at the very first time hearing it...unlike drama where the story flow might play a role in liking a song or should I say I may not like it if it's not for that particular drama...example is mongol800 song...if I were to hear it on Osozaki no Himawari first, I may not like it...

There are few exceptions though like Sakanaction's Boku to Hana (from drama 37 sai de Isha ni natta) where I liked it at the very first time...also Brilliant Green's Sono Speed de (from drama Overtime)

Such a light-hearted drama despite being a business genre, however not so much on the medical part if that's what you're looking for. Recommended to those who like serious theme but at the same time don't want a too complicated plot.
