I like this guy...I never get "that" annoying feeling when watching his drama....unlike the other fangirl-ed male actors....his limitation is lack of screen presence IMO...therefore he could been easily overshadowed by "stronger presence" one...one example is Legal V...Surprised that he looks much more shorter than 173cm though...
Spark is damn good...the drama is damn slow though, but the realistic-ness is priceless! Except "that" very very last scene on last episode...LoL
On the series drama I have watched all except for the BL one....Kind of reasonable to chose Hiragi Sensei as the best, but to me Tomei na Yurikago was better in many aspects....Hiragi Sensei was relying mostly on Suda and the initial impact during first few episodes only
Watch this if you: 1. Want to see good acting 2. Love politics 3. Interested in this particular history event
Don't watch if you: 1. Want to see different plot than what is in history 2. Want to see action like wars or sword fight 3. Expecting a love (romance) sub-plot 4. Want to learn about Oda or Toyotomi from scratch
Never liked boyband concept regardless of west or east...but these guys and their songs are all over in jdramas so I can't say I dislike them either...and some of their dramas are my favorite too....have not been fascinated by their singing though
Brilliant synopsis, not so brilliant execution with so-so acting ability from the main lead. It has potential but felt kind of ON and OFF in several places. Few episodes before last kind of engaging until the lame finale.
Watch it if you want to see japanese lead actor that conform to "kpop standard" in terms of look. Otherwise, keep your internet bandwidth or hard disk space for other stuffs!
7 for the drama and 0.5 for its short duration so can be binged in few hours. Total = 7.5/10
Quite tonally similar to Masters of Sex with how the titular director is clinical about sex. Narrative-wise, some…
I was hoping for story to tell what happened to his kids and his mother too...but i guess they already cut ties, so his mother won't allow him to meet the kids.
And about the OL, she was in the condom commercial at the final episode.
The only bad thing about this drama is it's not family friendly...that's all!
Other than that, it's a solid drama with realistic portrayal of japan AV industries. On the surface the story might appear as sex oriented, while it's actually not. There are a lot more in this like life despair, out of the box thinking, business rivalry, teamwork, people with power who controls everything, bribery, and so on that probably might happened in Japan at that time. The biggest lesson from this is how Japanese people take their job seriously even what they do is considered "dirty" by others.
Sorry for sudden reply on old message....but it looks like Japanese used "maison" for a mansion because they already…
oh about the word, i always thought maison is equivalent to mansion in english...so it's not?
in japan they used maison for house that is bigger....that normally called mansion in english...
about this drama, it's about a "mansion sharehouse" where the tenants are seevral retired police officers...name of this house is "maison de police"...MC will seek help from them to solve cases
Why is the title in French? This is the first time I've seen it.
Sorry for sudden reply on old message....but it looks like Japanese used "maison" for a mansion because they already used word "mansion" for different type of house...LoL that is the one that looks like high-end (could be high-rise) apartment...
Then again they can't use "apartment" (or "apato" in Jap) for that high-rise because apato is being used for another type of smaller cheap flats... xD sounds complicated?

Overall a good episodic drama to pass time...I wish the cases could be more interesting though
