Even if this was meant to be real life (It isn't) - Pretending Israel's Iron Dome hasn't been bombarded with air…
Sorry if this sounded rude but Israel logic:
Other people attacking Israel = wrong, unlawful, terrorist, anti-semitic
Israel when attacking others = self defense, lawful, targeting only terrorist (while hundreds of innocent people died along the way)
The more interestingly, even the Israel don't give a damn about their people who became hostages. Otherwise they would have agreed to cease fire long long ago. It's been more than a year and they still blame Hamas, while what they do is bombing that could potentially hit hostages.
@jennypark Stop bringing Islam into this. Why are you involving Islam here? What if someone said you were playing…
That person is crazy. She/he has personal issue with Islam (you can look at other drama too) and trying to provoke the potential impatient users. Later when she/he get the negative response, you know the usual victim card.

To be honest this wasn't great, but it was not really bad either. The first episode started off strong but few episodes after that felt a bit uncertain. Things eventually got better starting at Ep5, so you just have to be patient.
The only setback was the writer trying to associate everything with baseball game...LoL. I'm not baseball maniac so nothing really made sense to me and at the same time it felt like a self conceited writing....LoL
Other than that this was an okay-ish drama if you want to fill your spare time.
can you DM me the link if you don't mind? I can't open it.
Thanks for your time, for tidying up the sentences, for making additional on screen translation, and most importantly for sharing the complete sub with us!
I guess it's a fair adaptation (I only watched the anime though). The first episode was too short, resulting in some emotions were not conveyed properly and felt out of nowhere. After that, it was all good. The rest of the characters were okay, but Aqua could have been better IMO. He was ON and OFF. Not sure if it's the acting or writing. Arima Kana character was the best.
It's a good police drama (8/10) but a bit short in terms of number of cases...well considering this is a negotiation team, that's understandable. However, it still did not make me love Yonekura for some reason. She always been stereotyped with the same attitude, style, character, and surrounding...i mean how people affected by her (imagine female version of KimuTaku)....lol Not sure how I would have felt if I watched this in 2008 though.
This one has a slow start. The first episode was damn slow and boring. It turned into better starting at episode…
I personally have no problem with the way they handled Harrison's character. In fact I quite like him, probably because he is not your typical villain who will bark but no bite. This guy is simply NO-NONSENSE. He will just kill without hesitation. And they also don't hesitate with the special effect. Blood splash, brain scatter, truck crashes the taxi scene, etc
I also have no problem with the way they didn't kill Harrison in the end. Although it's kind of predictable to have that Last Scene with Harrison on the rifle, go hunting. I accept that as a creative ending and no, I won't watch S2 if there will be any in the future....lol
I like that in this drama Yamamoto Koji did not have to show off his muscle...LoL and it's also nice too see how his character die in despair! hehehe
About the lack of backstories as many have commented: I think it was done sufficiently without dragging the series or even adding unnecessary filler episodes.
This one has a slow start. The first episode was damn slow and boring. It turned into better starting at episode 2 though. Suzume Mino was also in the cast but none of worthy fan services to talk about if that matters...lol
I'm not a fan of Netflix produced Jdramas but I think this one was okay.
I notice this very often with Japanese shows on this site unfortunately. I assume the Korean bias is unreal.
Haha you're right! Those "tough childhood" backstories that usually came in the middle of series, are very Kdrama-ish and it's an exhausting trend. It should be stopped and banned already! LOL
This was an enjoyable drama despite the (very) weak mystery/crime/investigation writing. It should have been around…
The revelation in the last 4 episodes was really bad that it made me change the rating to 6.5/10.
PLUS: Cantonese, Hong Kong Bustling Street, Beyond, police in action MINUS: Poor mystery writing, too many plot holes, poor crime investigation writing, not making sense twist, inconsistence characters (thankfully not too obvious but still), wasted potential for a heartwarming family relationship (only exist in the last episode)

This one is definitely much better than its MDL total rating. What I liked about this drama is the mystery is not so predictable. It also has no (or maybe less) logical inconsistency as far as I remember. I guess that's the most crucial part for a mystery drama.

My response was for the (now deleted) "provocative thread" opened by the user @JennyPark.
She was reported for doing spam on another drama too, and there were record of her making anti-Islam remark on other drama comment page.
I was simply suggesting for anyone to ignore that provocative thread if you missed the context.
