This is an okay drama (production wise). You might enjoy it if you are a fan of Mone, but the drama was too FL centric that the side characters were just there to build the narrative. The way the writer wanted to relate everything to shogi was a bit useless to viewers who know nothing about it (like me). This style of writing reminds me of Paripi Komei and Buntman, which I think a bit forceful in making the connection, i.e. Paripi - 3 kingdoms (ironically staring Moka), Buntman - baseball. Furthermore the cases weren't that interesting and the comedy was not for me. Perhaps you would enjoy it more if you're fan of shogi.

Entertainment-wise better than S1. More suspense here. Some part of the writing was unfortunately a bit similar to S1 (READ: plot of convenience). But overall still an enjoyable series if both Season 1 and 2 are taken into consideration.

It's an okay drama but the swindling plots could've been done better with lesser "plot of convenience" writing.

This is the second drama ended abruptly after EVOL that I watched from DMM. They should at least make some sort of conclusion before the S2 hint/cliffhanger. This one here felt like they are too desperate to make viewers watch the second season and subscribe to their platform.

This drama is unique in the sense that while Nanao is the main lead, she is not the main character. The story mainly written from the POV of Hiwada with focus on support characters in each episode. I see Takano's character is more like a mascot or a theme that other characters have to deal with in this drama. It's not important if Takano is real or not.

However besides Takano, other characters are well written with believable and relatable dilemma faced by the people who work in a company. I personally think this is a well made WORK DRAMA despite the weird concept and at times the try hard comedies.

Everything is good but have to be patient with Oda's (a bit annoying) character during the first half.

In summary:
Sekigahara 1981 > Shogun 1980 > Shogun 2024

I made above comparison because both Sekigahara and Shogun have similar timeframe, i.e. post Hideyoshi death until Sekigahara Battle.

I think the good think about this drama is how they tried to create awareness about the teaching profession especially in Private School in Japan, which is in way not much different than the overly romanticized salaryman. I also appreciate how they conveyed positive message in every episodes and the overall "stress-free" vibe in the drama.

However, other than that, this was a bit bland in the plot/side plot writing. Some of the message was too preachy sounded, and few felt a bit imposing. The characters weren't interesting enough to follow through, and the pace kind of remind me of older western series like Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, etc. which might not be a bad thing for others but me. I rated this high simply because they tried to focus on non-formidable teachers unlike the typical school drama.

It's scary to see the number of "like" on his comment though. It tells us how much the hypocrite silent majority supporting Israel even after like 40000++ innocent people died in Gaza. What a sickening people!

And Israel had to bomb the whole civilian just to kill the few hiding Hamas so that Israel will be labeled as the bad guy as what Hamas want? Wow what a great logic man!

At this point, Israel try to fool everyone as if they have no choice but to do what they did. And if they look like a bad guy it is because Hamas trapped them to look like a bad guy.

EDIT: Just FYI Ismail and Israel (a.k.a. Yaaqub/Jacob) are Uncle - Nephew. Ismail and Ishaq/Isaac (which is the father of Yaaqub) are both sons of Abraham. The name, Israel is good but the country Israel is not.

In the context of this drama, Izmael is obviously referring to Israel. No question about it and SK probably wouldn't know the family relation between the two.

Not sure if it's by the same person, but I hope random people who read this will keep this response in mind when arrive to that comment (if they're going to dig older comments).

Sorry if this sounded rude but Israel logic:

Other people attacking Israel = wrong, unlawful, terrorist, anti-semitic

Israel when attacking others = self defense, lawful, targeting only terrorist (while hundreds of innocent people died along the way)

The more interestingly, even the Israel don't give a damn about their people who became hostages. Otherwise they would have agreed to cease fire long long ago. It's been more than a year and they still blame Hamas, while what they do is bombing that could potentially hit hostages.

She was reported for doing spam on another drama too, and there were record of her making anti-Islam remark on other drama comment page.

I was simply suggesting for anyone to ignore that provocative thread if you missed the context.

That person is crazy. She/he has personal issue with Islam (you can look at other drama too) and trying to provoke the potential impatient users. Later when she/he get the negative response, you know the usual victim card.

To be honest this wasn't great, but it was not really bad either. The first episode started off strong but few episodes after that felt a bit uncertain. Things eventually got better starting at Ep5, so you just have to be patient.

The only setback was the writer trying to associate everything with baseball game...LoL. I'm not baseball maniac so nothing really made sense to me and at the same time it felt like a self conceited writing....LoL

Other than that this was an okay-ish drama if you want to fill your spare time.
