OMGGGG when Ziqi pushed Ruoshi against the wall and threatened to kill him it was so hot!
I liked it too cause ZIQI int the novel is described as posessive and dangerous....recently he was so puppy eyed and docile we almost forgot...but I like dangerous Ziqi....and as long as I only like dangerous ficticious dudes its alright....I tell myelf. 🤣

Honestly, if I was Miao Miao, I'd be confused about Ziqi's feelings. He claims to always be annoyed but his actions…
I agree he has a crush but a crush isnt 100% yet. 100% is the enduring deep love that DFQC in LBFD had in the end...the one where it doesnt matter you cant be with your loved one as long as they are happy and where you would sacrifice for that person. So Id rate him at 60%. Also in the novel by this point is approval was swinging ebry which way...it was pretty funny when MM got the "average" score

They forgive him because his actions havent killed anyone. They have even sympathized with many demons after hearing…
Totally agree. He needs to do something incredible for me to forgive him. Also this story is full of personal tragedys his isnt evem the worst one. And we have already established that personal tragedy doesnt justify hurting others. I would have less of a probpem with ZYC straight upp killing ZYZ than what BJ did because ZYC is not deceitful and heartlessly calculating. Basically BJ proves WX point about humans being less obviously evil but actually worse

imo this drama /does/ lend more weight to the demons' perspectives and how they deal with the 'othering' treatment…
I understand your point and the actions of the demons are definitely not ok. But a lot of them were actually driven in a cornor before. The water demon was attacked by humans first....though I have to agree he took it out on innocent humans instead on the one who hurt them. But I think that in this show demons mostly pay the price for their actions in the long run whereas the humans didnt really. Also the fact that PC and BJs actions didnt have more serious consequences is pure luck...I think attemted murder is as severe as actual murder at least from the point of view of intent. And both knew what they were doing...it was coldblooded and planed. Their motives purely egotistic...everyone could start doing horrible things giving their loved ones as an excuse. So Im not saying demons who kill innocents should be let off...because that reasoning applys here too, but that the show has yet to show me a human that faced the same kind of misery as the demons did.

Also his pity tears and acting earlier when he was accused of being the traitor is even more vile to me because it was spot on yet he sulcked for several days. What an actor ZYZ should take acting lessons from him

Ehh, Bai Jui still have demon blood. It's more about he's a kid, so it's understandable that he is misled
He is 13 not six....in those times he shoulders more responsibility. I am not prepared to let it slide because he is a kid. He needs to learn consequences especially because he is young. Pampering wont teach him how horrible his actions was....id go as far as to say what he did and what would have happened to ZYZ would have been worse than dying....kinda a repeat of what happened to TY HMH other character from another drama

Am I the only one who thinks that most humans in this show are actually way worse and cruel then the demons. I feel like most demons lash out and self defent while most humans are biased without reason weak and cruel but get away with it far more easily. PC and BJ both are traiters but instantly forgiven because of their backstory...when pretty much every demon had one as well but bid the dust. Also the sect is really evil and cruel.
WX said as much in an earlier episode. To mee demons are like forces of nature....pure but at times destructive..but without malice. While humans are intentionally cruel and vindictive and unbeliebably selfrightous. But so far I have not seen many consequences for them.

At least one person should give him a hug and say it's not your fault, it was never your fault.
I agree I think BY got of waaaaay to easy. Also I never had the impression that he liked ZYZ at all. So I was really surprised that he claimed to be friends with him the episode before. I didnt buy it. I buy the bond between WX and ZYZ and between ZYZ and ZYC. I think PC is too detached she is neutral towards ZYZ but I think
BJ is genuinley scared of ZYZ and doesnt like him much.

I have to say I watch this for Wang Ye. He is the most interesting. Sadly he only
appears very little. The wizard idol and white haired guy are also semi interesting. While I think the styling is mostly on point and just like the manhua I really dislike the main actor and his styling. His hair looks grotesque and he has 0 charisma. Too me he seems miscast. Also I don't like the character he is the typical stuborn shounen male lead with a loser mentality until the plot decides he is not and actually the OP chosen one. Same with BaoBao, although she is slowly growing on me her level of being OP in fights but otherwise stupid, robotic and one note the rest of the time is hard to get used to. She feels too unreal, but I know these types of characters are usually popular though I don't get the appeal. I hope Wang Ye will get more imortance and screen time.

The novel for me is actually better but I’m fine with this cdrama version. In lbfad, I super love the cdrama…
Yeah I think the Drama was such an upgrade to the book, but here I think the novel was more fun...I liked that they were more ordinary immortals caught up in their own pettiness....basically 2 Tsunderes falling in love against their will. Like when she teased him about falling for her so early...in the novel he was not ready to admit it so it was much more fun...in the drama he had already admitted he loved her. The
drama is much more serious and the stakes are on the world saving skale again...
Ugh like we havent seen that a 100 times. I also liked the underworld realm and that the emporer was basically a big drama queen who used the OTP as his characters in his personal fan fiction. Also how great is the punishment in the first place to make those two get along? The drama sadly is lacking this instead we get another evil emporer and misunderstood eradicated tribe. Also this drama is lacking in comedy .

Title Love You Seven Times Spoiler
Poor XX why did they leave her in the dark for so long regarding what pair dancing is šŸ˜…. I loved the teaching/sword practice sequence. It was sooo pretty and also DYX killed it even though he had to do the movements gracefully, which he did. His acting and facial expressions really captivated me. All these emotions on his face and the look he gives her like he sees nothing else ....like CY I would probably only focus on executing the moves or looking at my feet. DYX is really carrying the couple. CY is cute and thankfully not annoyingly so and she has improved and does have chemistry with DYX but without those raw emotions in DYXs eyes I wouldn't be half as captivated and invested in them as a couple as I am. The only thing he is lacking is gravitas like WHD had as Dongfang Qingcang. But the original CK never really required that in the first place cause he wasnt a god of war and just a petty immortal. I think that would have suited DYX better than this more serious version of CK. Which is why the last couple episodes which leaned more towards the ridiculous in CK was pure gold. DYX played it soo well.
On a side note I am really curious why Shang Xue 2.0 (sorry the actor will always be the blacl dragon to me) is seriously Shang Xue 2.0 in the mortal realm and a baddy in his immortal life. I guess he isn't really evil, as we already learned the mortal life reveals your true perspnality.
Also I really hate 2 ML not because he betrays CK which already sucks, but he just won't get the message "she just isnt in to you". He is such a boring cliche of a character. His actions are obsession not love since ,as shown in his 2nd life ,he hurts and traumatizes the FL just to have her. In this life also he endangers her and doesn't respect her choices and opinions as he constantly tries to manipulate her. Just disgusting. I always wonder why chinese dramas almost never has its characters point this out. Because mostly those dime a dozen characters in Cdramas are always depicted as sad and tragic and to be pitied by everyone and just a little misguided. I think they are so toxic and damaging they don't deserve lenience and pity at a certain point. When you kill you are no longer just misguided and are past all forgiveness especially by those you harmed. But in most C-Dramas these types of characters as well as shitty parents (oh shitty parents and family members deserve their own rant to be honest) are mostly forgiven by the end as if they didn't didn't do the most horrid things, as long as they say a short sorry and shed a crocodile tear. Suddenly they get invited to the next grill party by the Main Leads as if nothing happened. I hate when the Main Leads forgive too easily. I will never understand this severe lack of accountability in C-Dramas.

Rant over and out and respect to anyone who read all this till the end.šŸ˜†

I'm the same. I like that they're sticking to the main points but the execution is off. The enemies to lovers…
Yes I would have liked it if they were more regular mortals especially since that would have tied in better with LBFD since not evryone fights the big bad all the time. The stakes here should have been more personal than world saving scale big. That can still be epic. And why is every other immorta male lead the war god? I am also really done with those underwater kiss scenes....I mean who just sinks without a struggle?

honestly I don’t think the first life is executed that well I don’t feel like it’s that impactful. The death…
Sadly, I agree. I liked the pettiness and bickering of the characters. They are way to serious here also the hinted that the have been lovers in the past as immortals as well, I don't like that either. In the book they fall for one another despite themselves but here it seems they are destined to begin with. Also I didnt really understand why CK loved her so much in their first life. Just because they are childhood friends when we dont get to see their childhood seems weak. In the novel I totally got why he was so fixated on her. Most of the story beats are in the drama but just by changing the age and order of events it became less impactful. Also most secondaty characters are unnecessary.

It friction drama what are you expect. Why do Superman fly? Cause it a movies right?
No I amnused to ridiculous fight scenes but usually there is some internal logic to what characters can and cannot do. For example either you are trapped in water and need to swim but if you where on a boat or solid ground you could Jump
and fly or you can just fly away from any situation. In the fightscene yesterday they made it seem like they had a problem and then they didnt. Same with Anles flying on the rope...the radius was just too big. Even within the wuxia scope it looked really
unnatural because one could see the rope attaches nowhere.

Title The Legend of Anle Spoiler
Wtf did I just watch...why is Anle so agressive in flirting and shameless lol? The drama sadly looks cheap. The CGI is really bad and the action scenes badly done....nobody can flip a boat like that or should row a river boat out to sea. And nobody can jump put of the water onto a deck like that...with that amount of kungfu they might as well have jumped ashore instead.I can suspend disbelief a fair amount for chinese fightung scenes but this was seriously pushing past my limit. Then the ropes they are swinging from seem like they are attached to the sky rather than a ship. The ships traveled way to fast and how could the crew have known that Anle was beneath the overturned dingy? Nothing made sense. My soul as a sailor is officially offended. The only redeaming feature was the Main Leads energy. I kind of like this type of ML he seems different than the usual kind. And the reversal of roles is fun too. I really hope it gets better since I like the actors.

Did Deok Im even love San? Or was she just with him because ultimately she had no choice? Her feelings for San seem luke warm at best but I have to say her final words to him really made me hate her. What a dick move was it to tell the grieving San she leaves behind shortly after they lost their child on her death bed that she doesn't want to meet him in her next life? What a way to kick someone when they are down. Just don't mention the next life then or wish that in the next life he isn't a king. How could she be so cruel in the end? Also I have to agree with others who question what is her supposed freedom and independance she gave up? As a court maid she never had those things in the first place she was always under the power of the king and palace rules and never free to do as she pleases. If she had stayed a court maid she would never have married and still been a possesion of the king and ended up an old single woman having to support herself outside of the palace eventually. During the Joseon era that would not have been fun. The choices she had in life all pretty much sucked it was a choice between a rock and a hard place with the added bonus that the king at least offered her companionship and affection.
