Did Deok Im even love San? Or was she just with him because ultimately she had no choice? Her feelings for San seem luke warm at best but I have to say her final words to him really made me hate her. What a dick move was it to tell the grieving San she leaves behind shortly after they lost their child on her death bed that she doesn't want to meet him in her next life? What a way to kick someone when they are down. Just don't mention the next life then or wish that in the next life he isn't a king. How could she be so cruel in the end? Also I have to agree with others who question what is her supposed freedom and independance she gave up? As a court maid she never had those things in the first place she was always under the power of the king and palace rules and never free to do as she pleases. If she had stayed a court maid she would never have married and still been a possesion of the king and ended up an old single woman having to support herself outside of the palace eventually. During the Joseon era that would not have been fun. The choices she had in life all pretty much sucked it was a choice between a rock and a hard place with the added bonus that the king at least offered her companionship and affection.

How can one tell if actors are A-listers or not in chinese TV? I feel it has nothing to do with acting quality. Why are idol actors not respected as "proper actors"? With enough experience I' d consider them "real actors" as well. I always feel people look down on idol actors but I think a lot of them act quite well and just have the added bonus of good looks. Of course some cannot act but I would always judge individually and I wonder when or if an idol actor can get rid of that derogative title. Also are A- listers in chinese entertainment always A-listers and do regular actors earn less? If they are popular and more respected should they not earn just as much? I'm curious how it works compaired to western actors.

Well LBFD was also an A production level and looked gorgeous. I have the feeling that iqiyis production quality is better than youku on average.

Really enjoying this drama...it is so sweat and low key. Also it looks very beautiful and not cheap at all. ( What grade of productions was this?) His parents are awesome. I hope nothing happens to them. Really loving both leads. We have a feminine graceful FL who is smart and strong at the same time...I wish western TV would learn again that smart and strong women can still be feminine .... The ML is just a puppy and very kind. I think subconsciously he fell very early for the FL. In EP 8 the villain said he wanted the ML to suffer and lose everything. Does this happen in the novel? And why is he hated by that merchant guy? Please tell me if anyone knows.

Why can't you finish it? I wanted to start with Blue whisper now. Also is the Drama worth watching? I watched a couple EP of part one but I could never tell if the FL actually loved the ML or not and from MVs it looked like it would become very angsty and melodramatic later on and I prefer more comedic and fun Dramas to all the angst.

I'd recommend LYST. While I prefer BFTB because I like TY and YH more than CK LYST was funnier to me. The FL was a bit too dumb and bratty for me and the ML is a 100% Tsundere so I definatly prefer the TY YH couple BUT the endless bickering and comedy of LYST is very entertaining and nobody went to save the world which was nice. In LYST the protagonists are often children I wonder how they will change that in the upcoming drama.

I am reading the novels of the author who wrote BFTB, just finished love you seven times...I can't wait for that Drama to be released soon. I read somewhere that BFTB is one of her less popular novels but so far I prefer it to LYST and LBFAD ( the sharing body thing is too weird for me, thank god they changed it in the Drama). What are you guys favourite novels by her? Which one should I read next?

Thx for the clarification. Since when is reincarnation prohibited in cdramas...there are so many that have that trope ( I don' actually like reincarnation because to me that is a different person). Do you know what else the CCP has forbidden now? Its getting ridiculous. I think TY way of loving is not exactly healthy he is willing to give too much...if she falls in love with someone else he wants to give her his scales? Where is his sense of selfpreservation? Thank god he met YH who didn't ask that stuff from him.

Chinese dramas often have those crowds of people asking the main leads to kiss or hug. I don't get it. Give them some privacy and don't pressure them. That kills the romance for me and makes it awkward. Who wants to make out with so many people watching?

Ok I watched the remaining 3 Episodes....it is a HE but again a rushed one. I have so many questions.
How did YH come back with her memories intact? I thought she became the HPS which I also did not quite understand. Why cultivating the Eulogy with the HPS inside her made her into the HPS. Also if she is everywhere like she says...and we see her mark on several people, how can she still come back. I know the novel had a good explanation but here its missing. I have to say I prefer the novels ending where we also see how she has trouble getting
in touch with the mighty dragon
again. I kind of feel that TY was missing his final most powerful
moment in this drama. He was just lying around needing to be saved
again. Also why do the MLs in
chinese dramas always need to
save the world and people that have been nothing but unkind to
them ( with a lot of undeserving people) and make that kind of
sacrifice. I also hate that in chinese
endings everyone exept the MLs
always get a sweet ending with kids or marrital squabbles but the
MLs always only get a "Hi there" in the last few seconds. This was just
as disapointing as LBFD ending for
me. Not as dissapointing as TSL but also not great. The only thing I liked is that TY was now engaging more with the world than before.

I also don't know how to feel about BXS constantly interupting the MLs sweet scenes...I mean yes its funny but can those two please catch a break and be left alone when they are getting close to one another?

This was the first episode of BFTB I didn't really like. I think SJ is just wayyy OP, but then just one stab is enough to kill her, but not before everyone has the time to watch her personal sob story play out. And why didn't MS make it clear....even though I remember my past my feelings changed I don't love you anymore and never will, get over yourself. You don't respect my autonomy so why do you think that after everything you did I would love you?
Also that she just gave TY heart back easy peasy...I don't know if it was meant to be poetic that she was literally the keeper of his heart, but I found our MLs really lame today. I prefered the original fight in the book. I like most changes they made to the novel but not this one. The only good thing that happened this episode and real revenge was TY killing MS. I guess that hurt her more than killing her would have. Also The spirit realm king died way to easily...they said his cultivation was already destroyed before his fight with SY. When did that happen? I also am annoyed at the phantom girl and the prince always wanting to storm into a situation for
revenge ( she did this in earlier Episodes) when they are weak AF and would only get themselves killed.
If TY is stronger now with his body intact how will he be able to touch YH now, won't she hurt worse than before?

How many EP did you watch? I think their relationship grows slowly but I definitely feel the romantic love big time in later episodes. Though the drama is sadly lacking on the kissing front, they make up for it with how close and intimate they seem.

Couldn't agree more. I don' t mind and even enjoy popular tropes if done right or with the right twist. I love Baby TY his purity and how the worked through the past together.
