so.. did pei su study at the boarding school? (bc he only came home on weekends)and how do you think... did pei…
Yeah...that was weird to me also. I assume in the series that they wanted to have LWZ realize sooner (than book) that PS was tortured by his father. Or they wanted to make it very clear to audience that PS was forced to kill. So that visual in series is as if his dad filmed those scenes on purpose for whatever reason (a record of his experiments?). I could be wrong, but I assumed in series that the writers wanted LWZ to see that. But you are right....it could be in LWZ mind....since the only thing LWZ saw in past of young PS was him burying a dead bird. At the time, LWZ thought PS had killed it (but it was really his apath father). What do you think?
In the book, LWZ didn't see that. He didn't learn the details of that until toward the end of the book. In book, LWZ at this moment only realized that PS believed himself to be an apath and was torturing himself to be fearful/disgusted of blood so that he wouldn't act upon an apath's desires (like his freakin apath father). LWZ realized that PS was super serious about NOT being an apath....and it hit him about how hard it must be for someone to change/fight against their upbringing/genetics. So it gives LWZ sympathy for PS who seems to be trying to be a good person.

In the book, he had his own apartment that he stayed at. Rich family; go figure. His dad expected him to be independent and treated him as if he was an adult, not a kid. I imagine that his dad probably would have looked down on him acting like a kid. In the book, we get some brief flashbacks of his dad yelling at him for 'running around' when he was little.....comparing him to a dog.. "What are you, a dog? Only little dogs run around". It was made clear he should not do that since he is 'above others' and 'superior' to non-apath humans. If you combine it all, it makes it clear that poor Pei Su could have been a normal kid if his dad didn't force/train/torture him into being an apath like himself...his childhood was isolated and lonely and pretty dark/gloomy. Creepily....it is as if he is his father's experiment....and Pei Su had the strong feeling that a failed experiment would be discarded, so he was careful to be EXACTLY what his dad wanted/expected. It gave me the same vibe as a father who beats his kid.... the kid always anxious/hyper-aware when his dad was around....except Pei Su's father used a masters class in psychological torture. And unlike normal kids, Pei Su had to quickly learn to HIDE/depress his emotional responses....which is insane. T-R-A-U-M-A.
I heard from someone, he was the person that was supposed to play Gong Jun's role originally. He apparently turned…
Oh! That would make sense also. He could still do a smaller role and be a part of the project. He's a good actor.... he prolly could have done the role well.

I heard that too, but it seemed like (from my perspective over the years) most of the early rumors was that he turned it down because he felt he wasn't the best fit for that role....he liked the Scorpion King roll better (he's originally a voice actor, slowly getting into acting, so he wanted smaller roles first). He said this in multiple interviews when they asked him about it. But who knows......
i have a question for those who have read the novel and watched the drama... in your opinion in what way is pei…
It may just be a censorship thing for drama....but Fei Du in novel felt a little more flirty/assertive to me. Pei Su in drama feels a little softer and a little more fragile for some reason. It isn't a huge difference, it may just be my interpretation. I rather love the drama Pei Su....the actor will bring their own vibe/flavor to a character/roll.
hey guys random question. so i make custom lists on mdl every year for my fav dramas/movies to come from that…
Tough one. Only 8 eps aired in 2023. The majority didn't come out until 2025. This is like an exception that can't fit the norm. From Wowow perspective, isn't it 2025?
That means Hua Young and Sheng Swayer won't be able to produce, I'm right?
Enigmas can possess the ability to control or "tame" Alphas, even impregnating them or transforming them into Omegas. Enigmas don't follow the standard rules.
Actually they are being leaked these days all of them
i had finally read the novel and I was really impressed with the age gap. LWS seriously only thought of him as a little brother for the LONGEST time and it is so endearing. He is such a lovely character. There is a 7 (approx!) year age gap between LWZ and PS. It only changed years later...and it was mostly PS changing/poking at the dynamic. And despite that, most of the story is LWZ thinking his is messing with him (to be annoying)...and thus he ignores him (both book and series). So because of this their relationship really evolves with the LOVE first. LWZ wanted cuddles FIRST.

I know we will never get a directors cut, but I do appreciate them leaking all the BTS. So loving it! But honestly....I'd pay BANK for directors cut if they ever did so.
This drama is amazingly good but I really can't stand the messy subtitles, until episode 24 I think this episode…
personally, I watched first 8 eps on Youku. Then I found abysssubs on tumbler for rest who i feel did a decent job. I still hope Viki or Netflix will eventually pick up and do a good english subs. That is the dream.
So I am specifically looking for more series that have good relationships between the gays and the heteros...... just like our boys (gay and bi) and Tao Ze (hetero). Any recommendations where you say it done right?
I just wish there were more of them since I dream of a world of acceptance.
I have a question 🙋‍♀️… I hope I don’t sound dumb and even if I do… I don’t care! Ok! So, A13,…
I took it to mean that A13 was being rude and hurt him (he was being rough as if he wasn't a human): he used a taser and electrocuted him before...and then also hit him a bunch of times. I just assumed the jacket was tossed since it was searched or whatever.
