Yes...exaclty.....just not shown. Others who saw the original script (before filming) said that a lot was cut....so it may just feel disjointed/rushed because of that. LWZ loves Pei Su so much.

Of course LWZ visted Pei Su in hospital. LWZ had some other things going on that day....and it was already planned for Tao to pick him up...they supposed to meet up at Toa's place for new years party. LWZ also left his phone and thus Pei Su is teasing (flirting?) with him about not answering his phone (which is what he had done to LWZ in previous eps!). It is just them bantering in kind.

He even mentioned off hand in ep4 to LWZ that even he didn't know who he really was. LWZ was obsessed with noticing the cracks/slips to see under these masks/personas to who the real Pei Su is.
So I think he kept changing glasses because he is still trying to figure out who he is.

Official site is Wowow, but it is only subtitles in Japanese. If you need other languages, there are a bunch of fan subs floating around. We all are waiting/hoping that an international platform like Viki will be able to post additional subtitle options. It wait and see.

Yes....even in book, initially LWZ kept pushing Pei Su away since he was that young kid from his first case (characters have a 7 year age gap). But the young kid isn't a kid anymore and time/events/interaction changes everything. The story is the evolution of their relationship over time through various encounters they share. That is part of the draw of the story, I think. You get to see the change in their interactions/views as they learn more about one another. It is a slow burn.....but once that fire is going, it is strong.

Youku only has the 8 eps aired two years ago BEFORE it was cancelled in China. Wowow in Japan bought the rights and aired all the rest of the eps this year, so they are officially on Wowow (sadly no english subs). But there are many private fan subs floating around that others DM to one another.....and maybe...just maybe VIKI or something will pick it up for us international fans who need subs in other languages.
Two years ago, it aired in China...until ep8. Then it was cancelled. Then this year, Wowow in Japan bought the rights so they could release all 30 episodes. So anything from ep9 and later is new this year!

He is using a known extreme treatment called 'aversion therapy' for Apaths. You shock yourself whenever you see blood (for example what he was doing) so that when he sees blood in reality, it makes him SICK. He legit feels that he is an Apath (a monster), but clearly doesn't want to hurt people, so he is basically torturing himself with this crazy extreme treatment to make himself ill whenever he's around blood.
It is up to you the viewer to decide if he is an Apath or not. That is part of the story.
I would like to point out....go to end of ep6 and listen to the show in background as LWX is going through his master's journal. The genetic test of genes for Apaths is only 99% accurate. What about that 1%? Are they geniuses? Do they have emotions unlike 'true' Apaths? Could Pei Su be part of this 1%?

Clearly they are conveying that your own decisions/actions determine what kind of person you are....whether that is evil or good.
