Nah it is her. Contrast to Elvira Cai who plays some of the same roles - "professional cold mature woman." I love Elvira Cai because she can subtlety portray chemistry with the her male leads while still maintaining a distance - you get why the guys go crazy and keep chasing her.
Victoria just can't pull it off - and I've watched five shows with her and this is the last, I swear.
I need to drop this, but I'm still hanging on. I think it has turned into "watching a slow mo train wreck" territory.
I think another problem is that CXX is wasted here. He is so good at playing "red flag" MLs where he gets away with terrible behavior because he can be so charming.
In this role he is basically playing a doormat simp for a cold FL, but there isn't any downsides to him, so it leaves the audience even more mad at the FL for not responding at all / breaking up for a probably really stupid reason. If he had been the one that dumped her it would have made much more sense for her to have this look of boredom / distaste on her face.
I kinda hope this show turns into a bad ending and they don't wind up together. I noticed it's the screenwriter from Broker (ah what another bad Victoria Song FL paired against an interesting ML) so maybe something off the wall / dog's blood will happen later.
Are the current subs ok or should I wait for Viki?
Not sure where you are watching it but it is ok - I watch them with dual subs and while there is the occasional mango TV stupid translation (instead of "okay" for 行 they say "row" - which means it is machine translated) it's pretty understandable as the dialogue is simple so far.
It's creepy atmosphere and not complicated plot.
Really good first episode if you are in the mood for horror, so depends on if you want to wait.
I'm trying so hard because CXX is great but yeah it's another mediocre Victoria Song drama. She's so pretty and…
like ahhh! Ep 13, he dives in to kiss her and he looks enraptured.
She looks bored...I called my husband over and made him watch the scene with me to confirm I wasn't just being mean and yeah he is like "wow she is bad" lmao
I really want to watch this for handsome CXX, but I can tell it's another mediocre Victoria Song modern drama.…
I'm trying so hard because CXX is great but yeah it's another mediocre Victoria Song drama. She's so pretty and her outfits are always sexy as hell but ah if she could maybe learn how to subtlety express interest in the MLs that'd be really helpful.
She's always playing this exact same cold aloof type (i think this is the fifth show I've watched with her?), which works if you have a simmering undercurrent of passion, but it never comes out and just winds up coming off as disinterest and bitchy.
Oh wow the comments are right - this is so good! I'm kinda mad this doesn't get recommended, I had no idea about this show before I wandered into a CXX binge.
It's perfect for those that love "villain types.."
Ohh love the ML and didn't know he has two airing dramas right now. Which one is better so far?
My boss. This one started with a great first episode and I had high expectations, but honestly rings more cringe and tropey. My boss has great coworkers, is funny and interesting cases.
I'm keeping up with both since I love the ML, but ugh Cheng Yao is ugh ugh and I'm skipping way more of this one. It's kinda unbelievable in bits? Like what elementary school kid is a fan of a Shakespeare translator, enough to know her name and be excited to meet her?
She’s not dumb- she is a lawyer who is just new and inexperienced. They dress her well and professionally in…
The FL in LiP drilled a hole into a guys head…
Sorry as a medical professional you don’t use random power tools to operate on a road. That was dumb, stupid and legit insane. And stole prescription medication to give to a kid - she is a neurosurgeon not a pediatric infectious disease doctor and holy crap giving a couple of boxes to a kid without dosing or following up medical care is also beyond stupid.
The FL in this hasn’t done anything stupid so far except feel bad for her clients.
ok, someone please be really honest with me. how is this show? I want to watch because of the ML but I can’t…
She’s not dumb- she is a lawyer who is just new and inexperienced. They dress her well and professionally in the office which is a plus as well. The ML is a jerk and treats her like a housekeeper in the beginning and looks down on her (and her previous job she was used as a object / assistant so it’s not her fault she doesn’t have experience) but she slowly proves her worth through cases which is cool.
I personally really like her character and the actress in this and I could not get through Love is Panacea because of how dumb the character was there. I think there is a difference between being stupid and acting cute and naive to stay on your jerk boss’s good side so he yells at you less haha.
Oh man I really don’t like how he is choosing being a doctor over the dubbing.
I’m a medical professional that watches cdramas to decompress from work ugh ugh ugh nooooo (burnout! Bad management! Lack of sleep from swing shifts! Angry patients! Bitter coworkers!)
Especially if he wants to start a family- one job will be much more flexible! They don’t talk about paychecks so maybe it is a money issue.
For people on the outside you might think it’s a more noble choice but he is a great a voice artist and has millions of fans. All his true friends are in the dubbing scene (we don’t really see his hospital life that much). This is a true tragic ending but maybe he’ll realize his mistake before the show ends.
I’m on ep 28, for me it should tick all the boxes too but I feel overall something is missing. I can’t quite…
Yeah it's dragging. Chemistry is the most important thing that makes me stick with a drama, and the two leads are very cold / rational and I'm not feeling it. Lots of other dramas.
It had really good parts but it's missing something, and I started skipping and lost the plot. Dropping for now at 21.
Or a senior head? The translations kinda confuse me haha

I wish they'd lock the rating for a couple of days and give watchers a chance to form an opinionn.
I swear I watch every cohabitation romance but they are addicting!
But in comparison to Victoria Song in Our Interpreter the FL in this isn't so bad. I am in a CXX obsession right now and I can't even with OI.
Everybody should just go watch Fall In Love if you want to see him paired against a FL that matches him.
episode 2, Miles is already touching his elbow to hers and giving her the look in the middle of a creepy death game haha

I should drop this but CXX is too hot

It’s a good modern romance drama so far.
CXX is great and he pulls it off! When I run out of one I switch to the other show hehe
Ahahah the irony.
Also damn CXX breathtaking, he is beyond handsome.

He is too cute to resist - I’m watching but skipping!
