Mi Ran and Patrick are the only ones who had a real romance. I am glad they kept it purely revenge- usually I like romance added but this one was a different kind of revenge drama. Romance would have taken away from it and not added anything. That being said, I was thinking about Yu Gyeong and Seung Woo- as Seung Woo matured, he also matured from his long-term crush and outgrew it. Such crushes are really meant to remain crushes and I am glad the writers acknowledged that. If they had not already added Na Ra into the mix a few episodes before they even started dating, I would have thought that the actors playing Yu Gyeong and Seung Woo might have fought and were not getting along. After their break-up, they didn't see each other for a week and when they finally did, it was for less than a minute and that was the last time they were ever in a scene together until the end 😂.
I really enjoyed that finale. It was so wholesome. Watching Gi Chan get his final wish was the best scene for me- Jae In cried as she called him Gi Chan endearingly, and finally, referred to him as Eun Ho's Dad. It was heartbreaking but also the best exit for him. And Jae In got closure.
The second scene was Na Ra and Jae In. Another tearjerker for me.I am awed by how Gi Chan made provisions for his brother and sister. He really did think of everything. And entrusting their welfare to Jae In. That was a beautiful twist. Now Na Ra can make her brother proud by doing something amazing with her life. She looked really good after one year and has matured a bit. It was really nice seeing her and Seung Woo together. Even though they are not together yet, the look on Seung Woo's face and his big smile indicate that they will be together soon. They have both matured and look really good together. And Do Yun's Mom was actually happy to see Na Ra so the families will not object to their romance.
Do Yun's Mom and Yu Gyeong's Dad are still kinda flirting. We don't know what Yu Gyeong was up to after a year- the writers really dropped the ball with that character.
I am thrilled that Do Yun realised that his feelings were quite burdensome for Jae In and opted to leave for a year. Jae In is a grieving mother, who was dealing with massive betrayal and her divorce, and was trying to get revenge. His initial confession was quite selfish. The year away allowed Jae In to grieve all her losses, including Gi Chan, and establish her identity as Chairwoman. I am really glad she actually accepted becoming the Chairwoman as she was not really ambitious at the start of the show. In that moment, I could not help but think back to Gi Chan- if he had just been patient and not let greed and ambition (and possibly lust) get in the way, it could have all been his.
I love that Seung Woo, Jae In and Ja Yeong are still living together. The writers really handled Seung Woo's parentage extremely well. And it is so nice to see Seung Woo so happy and Ja Yeong doing so well. I would have liked to see Seung Woo bullying the new employees🤣🤣.
We didn’t get to see the new house that Patrick was building 😪.
Great to hear that Ji Ho is adjusting well.
It has been a challenging but fun ride. Thank you to the writers, producers and actors. The actors were as passionate in their roles in the final episodes as they were in the first. A double thanks to the actors who played Jae In and Gi Chan. It is not easy to tap into those range of emotions but they pulled it off, amazingly so 👏👏👏. I never ever thought I would shed a tear for the villain. But the tissues that have been beside my bed for this final week tell a different story.
I loved the final scene between Gi Chan and Jae In. You could see that she still had feelings for him and that…
That was the best scene. Amazing chemistry. I am glad the writers did that and showed there was still some love there. Jae In had been trying to ignore those feelings ever since she heard he was terminally ill- it's why she told him to fight to stay alive and why she refused to be with him on his death bed. Even when Do Yun told her that Gi Chan was ill- she didn't want to address her feelings and asked about Do Yun's feelings, instead. She spent over 7 years with Gi Chan and had a child with him and miscarried another. Even though the love was replaced with hate, not all the feelings went away, especially since it's been less than a year since they divorced. In being with him as he died, she was able to confront her feelings and get closure. This also enabled her to give her whole heart to Do Yun.
Am I the only one who cried through most of this last episode? I love how everyone ended up in just the right…
I am still wiping away my tears. Aside from crying with Jae In as Gi Chan died, I was really touched by the scene between Na Ra and Jae In. Gi Chan thought of everything- he even provided a means for his brother and sister to survive, in spite of their mother, and asked Jae In to be their guardian. This man was the best brother. He had so much on his plate but made time for that. I am glad his wish came true and it was important for Jae In to be there so she could get closure.
Bravo to the Real GuardiansLucia and Tae Gyeong earned every ounce of those brownie points. The villains thought…
I cannot wait to see what's next. I never imagined the Chairman would replace Kyung Chae with Lucia as CEO. And he is giving her the house that Kyung Chae and Ji Seop's Mom built. Kyung Chae and Seon Jae will be working very hard trying to change the story. At least Kyung Chae didn't have to marry Seon Jae 🤣. She should be thanking Lucia.
Gi- chan's final moment captures the profound tragedy arc. His final , self- sacrificial act- using his "…
Beautifully written. This encapsulates everything I feel about the character. And in the midst of the wars waging around and within him, he still makes time for the simple things like walking his son to school 🥹.
Gyeong Chae finally got some slaps of her own- two for good measure. Tae Gyeong and Lucia saved the Chairman before he even got into the ambulance.
The jig is up- he has stopped faking dementia and is terrorising his bullies and is back at the office. I think Tae Gyeong is back in his good graces and he told Kyung Chae something about Lucia which leaves her livid. I assume he told her that Lucia will be taking over.
Se Ri is despicable as expected but Nok Sook Ja- wow. A horrible mother and human being. Focusing on the life insurance and not even trying to take care of her sick son? And then trying to basically sell Ji Ho 🤦♂️. Gi Chan is such a loyal son, sibling and father. I love how he said that Ji Ho is still his son and it's not his fault that they are not biologically related. I cried buckets when he was saying goodbye to Ji Ho. Am still not crazy about Teo- he just came on too strong and he also treated Ji Ho like property. But where was Se Ri while her son was being given away? And there's no way a child would be ok with leaving his parents behind to go off with a stranger, indefinitely. But this is kdramaland so anything goes. I would have asked why I can't stay with grandma or Aunt Na Ra. Very strange.
The emotions on Gi Chan and Jae In's faces in this episode. When Jae In tells him to fight to live- she is saying how much she hates him but there is a hint of something else in her eyes- maybe sadness. Similarly, at the end, the look of horror on her face. Could it be because she almost died? And fear that Gi Chan is actually dead? Could Gi Chan get his final wish to have her by his side as he takes his last breath? Will he record a confession as he dies? So many questions as the show draws to a close. Father and son died the same way, with Jae In being the target in both instances. What a heavy cross for Jae In to carry 😪. I will miss this complicated version of Gi Chan. I could not help but cry with him.
The writers have a lot of ground to cover in the final 30 minutes. I'm surprised they even had time to shop for a bed. But they need to advertise their sponsors somehow.
And did Yu Gyeong really have to go with her Dad to pick up Ja Yeong? I guess they had to include her somewhere. This is why they should have just put her with Teo so they could go to the U.S. together. Her Dad will soon be busy with his new girlfriend.
It's also nice to see Ja Yeong is doing better and she even tried to put in a good word for Mi Ran with Do Yun's Mom.
The Chairman has been taken away, after Kyung Chae had some choice words for her father. Whatever she said had him clenching his fists. I have to give props to the Chairman for allowing them to take him away. I wonder if Kyung Chae and Seon Jae will keep their jobs after this?🤔
Kyung Chae and Seon Jae were able to trick Lucia into leaving him for a bit. Looks like Tae Gyeong might have to rescue the Chairman.
And there it is!! Sook Ja already scheming to set Nara up with Sueng Wu after she finds out Na Ra likes him, what…
The big smile Seung Woo had for Na Ra🥰. Seung Woo of 20 episodes ago would be appalled 😂😂. I am glad Na Ra kinda "dumped" him because she doesn't want him to be used by her mother. It shows just how much she likes him and Seung Woo likes that she likes him. I guess he might have to chase her for a bit- but we only have two episodes left. And Na Ra is about to lose her older brother 🤧😪. She needs all the support she can get.
Since the episodes are only 30 minutes, I hope episode 100 is a stress-free happy ending episode!
Maybe the last 15 minutes. I am yet to watch a revenge drama that is stress-free and happy for the entire final episode. But there is a first time for everything.
Tae Joo is good at playing the role of a criminal. Today, he plays the role of a petty thief, trying to steal the Chairman's wallet. The Chairman stands up to him, proving that he is faking it. Lucia and co. just got a major upper hand, in this game of chess (or game of thrones).
Someone in YT comments said, "Min Doo Sik can tolerate lipstick drawn all over him but not money taken away from him" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Looks like Kyung Chae will gain a husband and lose the Chairman seat🤣. Seon Jae is so evil- his glee when he…
We will have to agree to disagree- I do not hold it against Stella for what she did 40 years ago. It's about who she is today and I think she is a better person and it looks like her son forgave her.
I re-watched episode 61 about the tonic- Stella never said anything about giving it to her husbands.

Ultimately, this show is just about Jae In and Gi Chan- from their love to its inevitable disintegration.
