Love this drama very much! But the last episode immediately after the failed uprising is so illogical. The empress and Prince Qing shdve been executed immediately! So strange.
Were there really 12 letters written? On that tiny piece of paperā¦. For me that was one of the most disturbing and worrisome part of the show - how little space they have to write! š
I just finished the drama! Itās very good. Well made and well paced. Very good cinematography & story telling! But I do have many questions: 1) how did the old Ye Hai Tang & Ye Yibo die? 2) who is YHTās husband - Mr Shen? 3) Is YHT the real mum of the younger Shen?
I donāt get why she cried when Bai died. She shdve grabbed a knife and stabbed him a couple more times. And itās so ridiculous the 2 ladies could set up a funeral rite just like that! Heās a prince no? Shdnt the emperor be informed at the least?
Frankly speaking, this drama is really not enjoyable and the story is so blehhā¦ I would rate it a 5.5.
I really donāt understand the situationā¦.how can one country capture and enslave a whole hoard of people from another country and no one takes any action against the perpetrators?
Love WYB & ZLY here. The portrayal of their characters is so believable. Never seen WYB so smiley before. His smile and bubbly mannerism is very natural and likeable. I canāt detect any pretentiousness nor narcissism, which is sometimes seen when a male actor plays such a role. As for ZLY, sheās so believable as a young girl here even though sheās already in her 30s! And her straight forward tomboyish demeanour is so convincing and endearing.
so the take from the audience perspective is, they let us see "xing zhi" but his guise is still there in the village…
Thanks for the explanation. I had no idea. They couldāve just let XZ keep the fisherman look through out their stay in the fishing village to lessen the confusion.
But maybe the producers worry that his dark dirty & burly appearance might completely destroy any romance there may be and cause ratings to plummet š¤£

I didnāt think there were loads of dangly bitsā¦ZLYās costumes are very unique, cool & pretty at the same time. Even her guards with their mat gold and navy blue uniforms look stylish and classy!
