I really don’t get ep 38. CX’s uncles attempting to assassinate CX in his Emperoro Grandad’s palace! In broad daylight?! Together with XY, the princess of another Kingdom and who’s a favourite of Emperor Grandad as well?! And nobody, NOBODY went to their rescue! FL & TSJ went but ended up playing chess with Emperor Grandad while CX and XY were fighting for their lives! And after the attempt failed (in the most incredulous manner), no one investigates the attack?? I’m perplexed.

Really? XL did that for them? Why?? I know he loves XY but he doesn’t give 2 hoots about TSJ and let’s not forget that TSJ is also his love rival.

Oh my, I had no idea there’s so much to know about the voodoo bugs! So complicated too! So, does that mean that XY’s heartache was really due to XL’a physical pain and not because she was sad to see TSJ?

So after that big shock that made XY puke blood , XY and TSJ parted ways for like a year until they met again at CX’s wedding I think. When XY saw TSJ she suddenly felt an excruciating pain in her heart. She then blamed the pain on XL for making her feel his pain through the voodoo bug.

My question is - I thought the voodoo bug only worked the other way round in that only XL can feel XY’s pain and not the other way round. So, that pain XY felt, was that her own real heartache over seeing TSJ again?

Also, any idea why the voodoo bug only works one way?

I’m at Ep23 and I think I’ve got the answer to that million dollar question - Who does XY want as her husband. It’s in the middle of the episode where XY chats with her grandpa.

Hehe I’m right now at Ep 20 too! I’m also not a fan of XL coz he’s been beating XY up right from the get go even when he knew she is a girl! That’s an immediate red flag for potential wife beater to me. I don’t care what he does later to redeem himself but to me, abusing the fairer sex is an unredeemable crime. CX on the other hand beat XY up coz he didn’t know WXL is a girl. So that’s ok.

But in the prison, YSQ’s confession is a boy-girl love confession, not a family love one. And when he was recounting how he knew WXL was a girl becoz she had blushed when she saw YSQ’s naked body, WXL was so embarrassed. So it was very clear in that scene that the discussion about waiting 15yrs is in the romantic context. Plus I just watched Ep 16 where YSQ reminded WXL again about the 15 yr wait again. She agreed but I agree with u that she probably don’t have romantic feelings then yet likely coz she’s never had the experience yet then.

Same here. TSJ is the most sincere guy in that world which is exactly what she needs.

That’s very helpful thanks. I just need to know that she actually does love him otherwise 17 becomes even more pitiful than he already is. He such a good person he deserves better.

I’m glad u say so coz XY+TSJ is also my favourite pair!! But I’m only at Ep 12 now and I don’t quite feel that love from her sadly. More like compassion and pity. And maybe even a safety net. I hope I’m wrong.

I’m so glad that I like TSJ the most as far as ML goes. I’m only at the tween episodes now but I really don’t like XL. He keeps abusing and using her and throwing her off that big bird in midair! Ive unintentionally read a lot of spoilers here (roll eyes) and it seems XL love XY as much as the others. But I’m sorry, once mean always mean. He’s a demon and he lapses into a killing machine mode ever so often. He’s a bad boy at heart and I don’t think that’s a suitable type for XY given her baggage n background.

Just started watching this drama……I have question a please.

At first it seemed XL fancied 17 because 17 is so devoted and faithful to her. But after she found out about his real identity she began to distance herself from him probably to protect herself from the impact from when 17 leaves her eventually.

However I noticed that she started to be quite annoyed by him over time especially when she also discovered the true identity of CX around the same time. XL channeled all her concern, sweetness and tenderness towards CX. This disparity in her treatment towards the 2 guys further amplifies her visible annoyance towards 17.

She would avoid 17 constantly and doesn’t think of him or miss him. Until one fine day XL needed 17’s help to escape from CX at the expense of 17 invoking the wrath of 2 kingdoms! I felt that that was rather selfish of her and certainly demonstrated how unimportant 17 means to her. Yes, she voluntarily gave herself up to CX when CX imprisoned 17, but that seemed more like a guilt trip on her part towards 17 for landing him in jail.

So in the next scene in the beach dungeon when 17 confessed his love to her and asked that she waits 15 years for him. I was so so not expecting her to agree because I was quite sure she didn’t have any feelings for her. I didn’t see any of it coming.

So my question is - Did XL actually have romantic feelings towards 17 at that point in time or did she do what she did out of pity towards 17?

I quite enjoyed this show as it’s a unique and interesting storyline (at least it is for me), fast paced and entertaining. However I have to say the plot is too ridiculous. An organisation set up to manage ninjas but there’s just that 1 small family of ninjas (some too old n some too young). And that big plan to kill the entire population,….the organisation sends that family to save the world instead of calling in the police or army?? So dumb but still fun to watch.

I really don’t like Xie Wei. He’s psychotic, depressed, depressing, obsessive, neurotic, damaged goods, dark, selfish & perverted. I really hope JXN ends up with ZZ.
