The leads arent really at fault. The manhwa itself is boring and draggy with BOTH leads being toxic in their own…
I agree with your comments on both actors! They tried, but one needs more experience (I think he has potential...he just isn't there yet) and the other was holding back (although that was possibly because of the script or trying not to overwhelm the other actor).

Yeah, I think those issues you mentioned are really a drag on it. I also agree the leads were not at fault on it.
I suppose that's the problem when adapting existing IPs... by that I mean deciding what parts to keep, what parts to change, what parts to simply ignore. Some things that work on paper don't work when you change the media.
I don't know why some people lowballed their reviews of this so badly. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it's an adaptation of manhwa /comic/graphic novel or something. (I've never seen it so I don't know what it's an adaptation of, just going by what others said). Taking it by itself it's OK, especially as a low budget production with fairly novice actors. Kim Ji Oh (Yoon Woohyun) doesn't even have a page on MDL (or anywhere else I could see), and Ha Min (Park Do Ha) only has one other acting credit (in a 2 minute series) if you ignore the little kid credit from 2008 in some movie. So, they have room for improvement, but I saw someone doing a review of 3.5 ??? Everyone is entitled to their opinion I suppose, but I don't see any justification for that low a rating on this.
I think it was OK for a web-drama with a low budget, but they perhaps should have focused on the leads more.
Is spotify one of the major sponsors of this? Seems like a low key commercial for it at times.
As for the rating, is the crew coming in to mydramalist now? I saw one review raving about it with 9's and 10's claiming to have seen 7 of 7 episodes even though only 2 have been broadcast so far.
I'm all for supporting BLs, but let's be real about it.
I remember watching the first Addicted (the Chinese one), and I must confess I wasn't much looking forward to any remakes of it. However, when I actually started watching it I was pleasantly surprised.
I don't like the teacher storyline(not about the actor or anything, I just don't care for that storyline as a personal preference). But I think the two kids are really cute with their puppy love.
is sei even cheating? that guy is basically just his caretaker/roommate. sei should have been dating/sleeping…
Given what I can tell as of episode 3 there is no way that Sei can be truly considered to be cheating....that guy is his roommate/friend (who seems to manipulate him for whatever reason). It's not a romantic relationship at all and he's stated that multiple times to Sei.
I love it! But I also feel like many things are left unexplained.
This is the problem when they do a 'remake' and alter some parts. Especially when they condense 2 seasons of 48 episodes into just 15 episodes. Entire storylines seemed to get 'compressed' and I wondered how people who hadn't watched the original would make sense of it. Add to that 'cut' and 'uncut' versions....
Norwegian drama from 2015, it's been remade several times in multiple countries...I remember France, Italy and the USA all had remakes of it (maybe Germany and others too...I don't know though)

(not just rumors...)
Maybe it's a Hong Kong company using Thai actors?
