I just finished watching this drama last night and what can I say....I cried many tears towards the end. I've read the others comments about how boring this drama was but in my opinion, I loved it. I was sucked into this story of a cat becoming a human and falling in love. Hong-jo is played by Kim Myung Soo who also played Kim Dan in Angel's Last Mission. His character is basically the same as the one in Angel's which was both started off being nonhuman and eventually desiring to be human. I have no idea why so many people didn't like the female lead Sol Ah. I felt she was another character that felt abandoned in life and learned to cope and survive - First her mom dies and then her dad checks out emotionally leaving Sol Ah to take care of her dad, Jae Sun (who she loved since high school) abandoned her with no reason and left her dealing with the questions of why and what happened especially since she thought they finally made a connection. And Jae Sun never gave her an explanation as to why he stood her up that snowy day when they were supposed to meet up. So even though Jae Sun abandoned her, they still stayed friends except Sol Ah still hoped that Jae Sun would eventually start seeing her more than as a friend one day. So when Jae Sun's ex returned a white cat (Sergei) to him, because he is allergic to cats, Sol Ah hoping to get into his graces takes the cat in temporarily until he finds a home for Sergei. And this is how the love story begins for Sol Ah and Hong Jo (she renamed him Hong Jo). I didn't see Sol Ah as being selfish. She mistakenly thought Hong Jo was her soon to be step brother and although she found him strange, she accepted him but was still at that time pursuing Jae Sun. Eventually Sol Ah starts to see Hong Jo differently and she also found out why Jae Sun was so cold towards her through a stupid misunderstanding and it was at this point that Sol Ah's character moves on from her feelings towards Jae Sun and she realizes that she will be ok. It takes awhile for Sol Ah to finally find out that Hong Jo (the cat) and the person she thought was her stepbrother are one and the same. At this point she has already fallen in love with Hong Jo. I feel that because Hong Jo didn't tell her his time as a human is limited, Sol Ah just thought that they would have time together. He tries to protect her so she can do her webtoon. Jae Sun who was the first to find out Hong Jo the cat was also a human begrudgingly helps Hong Jo deal with being a human. I have to say that their relationship was extremely cute and I loved that even thought Jae Sun wanted Sol Ah back, he never purposely sabotaged Sol Ah & Hong Jo's relationship. I felt he knew he missed out on being with Sol Ah and no just wanted her to be happy. In the beginning he tried to tell her that Hong Jo wasn't for her but that was just to protect her from this freakish anomaly with Hong Jo. Despite his misgivings about Hong Jo, he was truly the only one there for Hong Jo when Hong Jo was confused or needed guidance. Oh...and not to be forgotten, the little boy that befriends Hong Jo was also a great dispenser of advice for Hong Jo - they were especially cute together. In the beginning Hong Jo was the one that always waited for Sol Ah (as he said: that's what cats do - they wait for their owners); when Sol Ah finally understood Hong Jo's time was soon up, she waited for him. And what was truly sad was the fate of Jae Sun who ended up waiting for Sol Ah but always losing out to Hong Jo. It would have made more sense for Sol Ah and Jae Sun to end up together at the end but that is how life is: when you miss out on the chance to be with someone it leaves it open for that person to find someone else to fall in love with. That's how fate works. The last few episodes were tear jerkers. I'm not sure how I should interpret the ending. Is Hong Jo really back or is it just wishful thinking on the part of Sol Ah? Is she dreaming him back as a human? Does anyone know for sure. Unlike Angel's last mission where I knew that he was back, is Hong Jo back? How did it end in the webtoon for them? Also...was it just me or was the vet (Jo Hyuk Joon) in this drama incredibly HOT! Where can I find a vet like that?!!! I googled him but he doesn't have many dramas under his name. I loved how many times Sol Ah took Hong Jo to the vet with so many emergencies! And it was a great opportunity to get another look at this gorgeous vet. And I fell in love with Jae Sun too - going through his character growth, he became such a great support system for both Sol Ah & Hong Jo despite his pain knowing Sol Ah is no longer in love with him but with Hong Jo. Seo Ji Hoon is an incredible actor showing all his pain & hurt & understanding in Jae Sun. And last but not least, the adorable 2nd couple of Doo Sik & Ji-Eun. Doo Sik is totally clueless but is a great friend to Sol Ah. Ji-Eun, who is incredibly introverted and shy learns to use her voice at the end and comes out of her shell. And did anyone realized Doo Sik's mom is the evil Lawyer Choi in Vincenzo???!!!! I really loved this drama...maybe cuz I'm just a sucker for cat stories!
Rewatch the end of ep 9 and beginning of ep 10 and see if ur pov about han seo change. If it isnt change your…
You're talking about the beginning when he was following his evil brother's plan but Han Seo slowly started to change his ways and redeemed himself. Even the bad guys that tried to threaten the residents in the Plaza redeemed themselves when they moved into the building and became part of the good guys. I'm not blinded by love for Han Seo...just wanted to see his redemption come to fruition. Just was disappointed that the outcome wasn't the way most of the outcomes were.....with Vincenzo saving them. And Vincenzo never goes into something without a plan. I understand his recklessness was due to Cha Young being in danger but when Han Seo fought with his brother, that's when Vincenzo should have jumped into the fight to help Han Seo and then Cha Young wouldn't have gotten shot to begin with. Vincenzo can take on so many of the goons in his way so this wouldn't have been an issue for him.
Well.....Onto eps 19 & 20 - I was really hyped to find out how Vincenzo would escape Jang Jun Woo's kidnapping of Cha Young & Han Seo because you know....Vincenzo always seem to get out of sticky situations. How disappointed I was with the scene with the 4 of them in the room. Han Seo....poor Han Seo! He fought valiantly to save Vincenzo & Cha Young by throwing himself at his brother and fighting for the gun. And what does Vincenzo do? Instead of going over to help Han Seo who by the way has been beaten badly and is injured, he tries to escape with Cha Young leaving injured Han Seo to fight by himself!!! WTF?!!!!! My daughter & I were screaming: Help him for goodness sakes!!!!!!! I mean we have Vincenzo who seems to have no problem taking down many bodyguards on his own and he can't even go and help Han Seo take down Jun woo? What a stupid stupid stupid turn of events! He left Han Seo high & dry and Han Seo didn't have to die if Vincenzo had only gone to help him fight! What a major disappointment. All his calculating planning & counterattacks and he had no plan when he recklessly walked into Jun Woo's hide out to take him on. The thrill we felt were deflated! Our poor pathetic sad Han Seo who only wanted a brother's love....he deserved to live if only Vincenzo had helped him in the fight. We felt so let down and shocked and everything that followed after that was seen in stunned silence. We just couldn't get over how Han Seo died! And then we go next to see how Vincenzo gets his revenge on Jun Woo & Lawyer Choi. Now this was absolutely horrific how he took his revenge out on these two - horrific but very satisfying....both died in tremendous pain. And it was funny how Lawyer Choi who loved to dance ended up doing the final dance of her life! But all this still did not comfort us in how they ended Han Seo's life. Thank goodness they spared another good guy's life (Lee) or it would have just been devastation again! All in all the drama was really good all the way until the end...eps 19 & 20 seemed very chaotic and it was like the writers didn't really know how to end it in a way that Vincenzo wouldn't be prosecuted for all the killings he did. So they just threw everything in it for his escape. I liked that he did escape and did come back to see Cha Young a year later to update her what he had been doing. I have no idea how he entered back in Korea without being identified but then again, this drama seem to show there is no police present when needed and that there seems to be so much corruption in the higher positions of the law. And what happened to Vincenzo's pigeon? I thought we would have closure on that! Where was Inzaghi at the end? I really hate when dramas are so good that you can't wait for the next episode to air and then to have the ending so disappointing despite Vincenzo exacting such an awesome revenge against his enemies. I will never get over Han Seo's death because it DIDN'T have to happen! *Sadness*
OMG! Mate, Where which when How? I cannot stop but smile at your negative response, Reba's previous movie did…
I'm loving it so far but have put it on hold until more Eng sub eps air. I get so frustrated when I'm caught up and can't see the next ep. So I'm patiently waiting until there's enough eps built up before I pick it up again.
I'm over half way in this drama - the Tiger Assault team are made of hotties and 1 female. They are hotties at their job but completely clueless when it comes to dating & romance. So far the issues that have arisen have been rectified pretty fast which I like. I hate issues or misunderstandings that linger on & on and then affect the characters. Here are my thoughts so far: 1.Mi Ka & Xing Kelei have great chemistry in their cuteness except for their complete awkwardness in relationship and so far they have had the tamest romantic interactions. I'm like just kiss already! They seem like 2 virgins navigating through the relationship world. 2. Qing Xia & Lu Feng are the last people to take dating advice from. I cringed every time Qing Xia kept chasing after Shu Wen Bo. He keeps rejecting her and she keeps coming back for more humiliation. She doesn't even follow the advice she gives Mi Ka. Lu Feng , even though he is the only guy that seems to have dated in this drama gives Xing Kelei the wrong advice all the time. The only one that gave Xing Kelei any good advice was Li Nian when Xing Kelei didn't understand what he did wrong when he invited Mi Ka out to eat but brought his fellow members along. Shu Wen Bo is a blockhead but hopefully he will come around. And Qing Xia is treating Lu Feng the same way Wen Bo is treating her so she should be nicer to Lu Feng as he is pursuing her. Even though Lu Feng comes across as a player, he does seem like a nice guy in general and he was a part of the team in the past. 3. The earthquake disaster went way too long but I guess that was a way to show the growing bong between Mi Ka & Xing Kelei. The old lady & her husband story was cute. 4. The director must think we a stupid to think putting just glasses on Dr. Shao would make him look younger in his flashbacks with Xing Keyao. He basically looked the same as he did in his current time. And so does Xing Keyao. I had to chuckle. 5. Hated Mi Ka's school bestie Yanshan - she was petty, jealous and scheming. I knew it the moment she took the credit for doing the lung perforation in the elevator when she was with Mi Ka stuck with the critical patient. I loved how Dr. Shao wasn't taken in by her ass kissing ways and gave her a concise account of why she is not at Mi Ka's level of being a doctor. But she redeemed herself later when we found out why she is the way she is. 6. Thought the new female Tiger assault member Zhou Wen Jin was going to create problems between the main couple but so far she's assimilated nicely into the team. But I'm only half way through so I don't know what other issues they will create for the main couple. Overall I'm enjoying this drama and can't wait to finish it! And I hope that after Xing Kelei comes through his surgery, he can continue doing what he loves: being a Tiger Assault leader!
So I started watching this drama as a filler while I was waiting for my other dramas to update with their Eng subs. I went into this just reading the synopsis but not really expecting much. Well...let me tell you...the 1st ep got me hooked! We have a badass woman exorcist, her loyal assistant, a conman & his buddy and vengeful ghosts!. What more can you ask for. And now this drama is another one that I have to wait for the eps to air. I even started watching a non subbed ep just to see what happened since the last one ended in a cliffhanger. But of course once it was subbed I re-watched it to see what exactly was being said...lol. This drama has different cases to be solved each time so it makes things interesting. And while they are battling ghosts, they also have to battle the bad guys that own a development company that wants take over all the stores/homes where the exorcist lives. And we have a mystery as to why the exorcist's mom can't move on and how the conman's uncle died.

I, for one, am loving this drama especially with Leo Wu. I think their pairing has been great so far. And Dilraba is doing great too in this drama. And her unique looks adds to the drama and I think she looks amazing in whatever costume she wears. Honestly, I really didn't care for her character in Eternal Love. I loved Ten Miles of Peach Blossom with Yang Mi & Mark Chao but I couldn't bring myself to watch the second season yet because it was so long...maybe one day when I have time to watch the long drama. Anyway, I love The Long Ballad so far and my only frustration is waiting for new Eng subbed eps to air.
I really like both Leads but poor Fair Xing she always get pairs with Really Tall ML !!!
To be fair, Xu Kai Cheng is 6'2" and most of her Fair Xing's male co-stars are really tall too. Rosy Zhao is the same with most of her co-stars too with the height difference.
A'Sun did all that out of his own free will. She never once exploit his affection for her. She doesn't even know…
I agree with you! I was initially so upset with ChangGe's attitude towards Sun but then realized she never asked for his help! A'Sun took it upon himself to always save her. Yes...she is grateful for his help but she always has a goal in mind and nothing will deter her. But I still love the fact that A'Sun can't tolerate anything happening to her...he's such a great guy!
