I though i am the only one that hasn't attracted so much to this drama, i couldn't progress with episode 2. Would…
I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling like this! I had such high expectations for this drama but the acting has been subpar and the music non inspiring. Zanilia Zhao doesn’t seem totally into her character and there’s a lot of awkward stares & pauses in her interactions with Yibo & the other characters. Seems like the editing team fell asleep too. Yibo is trying too but not sure about his character yet. So far no chemistry between the leads. I’m in ep 5 and starting to get bored. At first I likened this similar to Legend of Fuyao but that drama was so much better & the leads’ chemistry was amazing. I’ll try to keep watching to see if it gets better.

Bit confused on Sang Wook. How did his scar go and I thought he died along with the nurse??
Most comments are that Eui Myeong (the monster thug) took over Sang Wook's body. I googled the actor that played Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook) and the dude is hot! It was too bad he was scarred throughout the drama but it was nice to see his unscarred face at the end.

Is it me or did the monsters straight up disappear like halfway through... it would’ve been safer for them to…
Yeah...it was weird how they stopped showing up halfway through. There were still some inside the building but it was amazing that they couldn't find their way to the humans. And when the military truck with the thugs rammed past their gate and barricade, you'd think the monsters would rush in but none did. And the one thing I couldn't believe was that the monsters couldn't break down the gate which was kind of flimsy and with the monsters' incredible strength, the gate should have been no problem for them to break through. But there were plenty of holes in the drama but I still had a fun wild & suspenseful time watching it. And the real question in the drama was: who were the real monsters? The monsters or the humans?

What a crazy story - so full of nonstop action and watching which characters became strong, resilient, heroic, cowardly, etc. I binged watch this 10 eps drama in 2 nights! Song Kang as the male lead was incredible - he was able to convey the hurt, anger, despair, bravery and stoic demeanor of his character. I just wanted to reach out and hug him like Du Sik did and tell him it's not his fault! He was a teen that just wanted to be a good person but the circumstances surrounding him made him defeated and he retreated into himself so as not to allow others to get in and hurt him further. Another character that stood out was Yi Kyung - she reminded me so much of Terminator's Sarah Connors. I loved how strong she was and yet compassionate and resolute. Du Sik, Sang Wook, Eun Hyuk, Ji Su Jae Heo and the other cast of characters were amazing! This rag tag band of apartment dwellers started out as individuals but circumstances lead them to eventually become a group who cared about one another - some had to go through their selfish and cowardly ways before they realized they needed one another to survive. And even though I loved this drama, this was a cliffhanger and I hope we get a Season 2: I need to know who the green slime monster was, what becomes of the embryo breeding in Du Sik's bathroom, how did Sang Wook survive the attack from one of the monsters as he and Hyun Su was racing to save Sun Young, was that really Sang Wook at the end or Eui Myeong with Hyun Su, what will happen to the rest of the people being taken to the "camp"? I need answers!!!! What a crazy ride I just went through. The monsters were terrifying and comical at the same time. To think these are monsters became reflection's of the human's desires. Hyun Su's transformation reminded me of an avenging angel - when his winged armed appeared he looked so menacingly beautiful. Please - we need Season 2 ASAP!!

I am watching it now. I keep waiting for it to get more dramatic and interesting. Some plot twists!!! Like if…
That's for sure. But I still enjoyed it even though it didn't live up to its potential. Did you watch Love & Redemption? That was so good!

Your imagination is better than what is in the drama...lol. Unfortunately none of those things happened. The ending was happy but it could have been so much more. It had great potential and I'm not sure if this is based on some book or manga but to me it fell short even though I am a big fan of Nam Joo. Did you see Weightlifting fairy yet? I loved that drama.

SPOILERS with episode number (in case you want to skip episodes) EP 9 --> FL changes her appearanceEP 11 --> ML…
OMG...thanks for this! I was fast forwarding so much because the FL was super annoying and I can see that her bestie is pissing me off because she's starting to have feelings for the ML. Now I know which eps to go straight to and not have to go through the pain of watching this ridiculous mess. I'm not enjoying this drama but I wanted to see Park Seo Joon because...well....who wouldn't?...and I always like to see the conclusion.

On She Was Pretty Dec 8, 2020
The ugly duckling character of Kim Hye Jin has to be one of the most annoying and pathetic female leads I have watched. I'm only half way through this drama and I keep wondering when I will stop being stressed out by this loud, over the top, super extra woman who constantly gets humiliated and dumped on especially by the ML. Every time she gets yelled at and put down, you'd think she would come back stronger but she just does more stupid things and then you are expected to feel sorry for her. The whole premise of this story is pretty stupid. How does a smart cute pretty girl end up being such a mess as an adult. So you are supposed to be "ugly" just because you have red blotchy skin, smattering of freckles, chapped lips and wild frizzy hair? It's the modern times - you haven't heard about cosmetics to take care of those things? And you have a bestie who obviously knows about makeup but she does nothing to help clean up your looks? This is just a huge leap for me to believe this storyline and I really wanted to like it but wanted to see it because of all the good things I heard about the 2nd ML but even with Siwon and Park Seo Joon, I could barely watch this without getting super annoyed with the FL. I had to fast forward a lot especially with her bestie starting to fall for the ML. If only they didn't keep the FL constantly being a doormat with her over the top shrilly manner and overly exaggerated ways of bending to show respect . They needed to make that character move on to improve herself after each embarrassing and humiliating moment. Even I had the same reaction as the ML: that she was pathetic and wasting the air breathed. So far the antics of the 2nd ML can't save me and my fingers from dropping this drama midway. I keep hoping it gets better but the FL keeps doing such STUPID things and doesn't learn! And can I say again: her constant screaming?!!!!!!

Gosh, that part was so unreal... I hardly believe that a young amateur girl could beat experienced emperial doctors…
I know, right?!! They searched all over for a doctor to cure him of his poison and it took this unknown girl to figure it out...sure it's unbelievable but reality is suspended in dramas..lol..

Title W Spoiler
I really enjoyed this drama until the last few episodes because it really started to not make sense and I was screaming at the Yeon Joo to save her man but does she pick up the tablet? NOOOO! A lot of comments say that they don't understand the chemistry between the 2 main leads and why they even like each other. For me, Kang Chul was created by Yeon Joo when she was a middle schooler and she couldn't help but fall in love with KC. He was everything she created in her mind of what a comic hero should be. And KC fell for Yeon Joo because like he said, she was the only real family he has from his own free will because all his other family and friends were fake and were created as part of his storyline. That's why he couldn't help but be in love with her as she with him. The angst was trying to be together in each other's lives from two separate worlds along with all the obstacles that came along the way. Apparently a supernatural force and the incredible will to live and sustain made these cartoon characters have a life of their own especially the main male character, the culprit and the antagonist (the evil politican). The main character deviated from his destined plot by the cartoonist by refusing to commit suicide and that's when he came to life...through his sheer will to live and to find the culprit that killed his family. I really liked how Yeon Joo used her wit to save KC on several occasions but it seem that all her brain powers ended during the last few eps. The writers did no justice to her character when they just made her sit there and not help KC through the magical tablet when he confronted evil Prosecutor. There were so many ways they could have changed what happened but she just sat there with her father. It didn't make any sense at all! I mean, she could still use the tablet to make things happened just like how her dad did at the end. That drove me crazy! And can someone please tell me how KC reentered into the real world at the end? It was never explained. At one point it seem that only the cartoonist or his daughter was able to draw on the tablet to make things happen but then it seem that anyone could do it if they had the tablet! I had a lot of unanswered questions. Anyway, I personally think that the main leads had great chemistry and it was sad when it ended because I wanted more from these two and also my questions to be answered which I'll never get.

Serious?
I loved the kissing scenes too - very passionate but wished the couple had more of those moments than the constant sad tears between them.

Title The Bride of Habaek Spoiler
I really wanted to like this drama especially since Nam Joo Hyuk was in it. Throughout the drama, he was either arrogant, bickering or sad and Shin Se Kyung must have spent about 90% of it crying. It started off interesting with the Water God sent to the human realm on a mission but he lost his powers there and had to rely on the descendant servant (So Ah) to support him. But unbeknownst to her, she had no idea her ancestors made a promise to be servants of the God due to a big betrayal that her ancestors made. Anyway, So Ah is suffering from being abandoned by her father when she was young and has never gotten over it and it consumes her everyday life making her sad, morose, prideful, angst-ridden and all those good stuff that kind of makes her a horrible psychiatrist because she barely has any patients and the ones she does have, they are still nuts. I really wanted to ship the main couple and I thought they looked really good together and they had some chemistry but episode after episode would drag on and it never seem to progress any further. I just don't understand how the powerful God of Water is sent to the human realm with no powers while the other gods and minor gods retain their power. How can you send a King to be of the Heavenly Kingdom to the human realm without any protection? He should have at least some bodyguards with him instead of his flunky who is as powerless as him. The most tragic of this drama was CEO Sin because he was born a half breed (half god/half human) and was persecuted from the getgo as a little infant. He was left in a cave to just die which just goes to show how despicable the gods are and how prejudiced they are if you aren't 100% god. The poor little Sin was cast aside to die and the only sympathetic god was Jo Gyul Rin who looked after the poor infant. The people that little Sin killed was by accident because he was just out to protect himself and another and also because he had no control of his powers and no one to guide him as he grew. He tried to redeem himself by doing good in his adult life and refrained by using his dark powers even when provoked by Bi Byeom during a confrontation. CEO Sin was so misunderstood and it was really sad to see how alone he felt most of his life but still trying to make sure he did only good things. He was indeed the most tragic of the characters and I really wished they made a spin off drama about him and finding love. Other than that, we had to wade through the back & forth angst between the couple and the sadness that loomed over them even going into the final 16 ep. And still it wasn't as climatic of an ending as I wanted. Ok...if you think of So Ah's wish at the end, it would entail Habaek staying with her which means she'll grow old while Habaek still stays young. Maybe she should have made a different kind of wish where she could be with Habaek forever. I don't know...that's just me thinking that her wish wasn't the best. I still enjoyed it even though I hated the fact that Habaek only showed his powers twice and never had his power the remainder of the show - even when he came back to her. That didn't make sense at all. I was really anticipating the time his power would come back and it would have made it 10x more interesting. And I wished they didn't concentrate so much on the maudlin aspects of the relationship because of the eventual outcome and had more romantic moments with the couple in happy mode. One thing about the FL actress - she can really cry big tears on cue!

Very typical of C-Dramas to portray the FL as such... especially for period dramas. Recent exception I can only…
I loved Maiden Holmes. There were no misunderstandings and the ML only cared about FL and no one else. And no matter how stubborn the FL was in order to protect her identity, the ML was always there for her to support her....even though he himself was hiding something in the beginning.

Two words - one name Caesar Wu child!! Caesar to the Wu! Sir who gave you permission to be this fine on my TV…
I agree! Caesar Wu is hot but no matter how hot he is, I couldn't stomach the female lead in this drama....which is a shame. So if I want to watch Caesar I will have to find another one of his drama or rewatch Meteor Garden.

I'm so disappointed with Jiu Liu Overload! I started watching it and it didn't catch my interest and I was surprised. I guess I have to revisit it later and am trying to find a more interesting drama to watch. So far I have been so disappointed. I watched Love and Redemption and it was so good and held my interest all the way to the end to the point where I was sad it was ending.

What is this garbage ?
I dropped it for now because I despise the female lead. The general deserved a better female to be his wife. She was just all sorts of trouble and she was all over the place with her demands and bratty behavior. She never seem to redeem herself after she caused troubles to begin with. I never once felt sorry for her after the things she did and then was reprimanded by the general.
