I did wonder the same thing but China's already done a version of that a short while back called Pretty Li Hui Zhen....though it was universally panned, so perhaps they're having another try? Lol!

They are PERMANENTLY banned from from being seen together jn public, Athena. I thought it was being together at all, but a Chinese poster here said that it's only in public but IS permanent.....a ridiculous extreme to go to.
Park Bo gum can have me in tears with just a wobble of his bottom lip. I remember seriously rooting for him in Tomorrow's Cantebile and crying every time he got upset or his hand hurt. Same with Hello Monster.....when he says "you didn't even recognise me" with those tearful eyes (little picture above) i was bawling in seconds. He's just such a little puppy........
LOVE Fujioka Dean so this will be a must watch for me - nice to see him getting more lead roles too. He's a brilliant actor and it's a shame it's taken so long.
Whilst there do appear to be similarities with Meteor Garden, I also saw some with Devil Beside Me....so I think it has more to do with teen tropes.. ...writers know what work and just like to hit repeat.

CamilaNicole -- yup, that was my main WTF?! moment too. Admittedly I adore Push (my favourite role of his was Ugly Duckling: Perfect Match) but as you say - free pass was deserved whereas with the evil ex, I would've just smiled and then gone looking for a shovel.

He's scary when he's emotional and I mean emotional as in crazy.
I watched a drama where he laughed and flirted - and it was, I'm sure, his normal laugh......to me it sounded like a serial killer laughing about his next victim!! I think I'm too used to him as Irie-kun . LOL! He just comes across as crazy, even when I'm sure he's being normal, right? ;$
mind you he acted his socks of as Irie Naoki and was THE most convincing as the character; I truly believed he played him as an Asperger's person as I know someone with Asperger's and they are the same. Even she said he was identical to her. :)
I think the charge was 'corruption of a minor' and I think there were some charges about money but I can't quite recall. .i didn't get the 'corruption of a minor' charge though; i mean he was 20 and hardly a 'minor'. But he did say he'd wait for her and I believed him because he was as much in love with her as she was with him.
I vaguely recall him visiting her in prison and reminding her he was waiting....but it was a while ago I watched this on netflix, so not completely sure on that. It could've been another drama as I was watching a couple with women going to prison at the same time as this one. Hope this info helps about her conviction helps. :)
Just to say it has a HAPPY ending and is a really cute drama. Bit rushed towards the end, but it's really good - well acted by the young leads and no ridiculous over the top dramatics in it.
