I am so glad I'm not the only one who saw Krist in Chimon. Krist definitely knew that if he ever wanted to win over fans, he was gonna have to get over his "no homo" vibe and did a half way decent job in Be My Favorite (although I still did not buy it, especially like others) But Chimon here is killing me, because it's obvious that Perth is committed to the acting. Chimon is definitely the problem here.

As usual, I really enjoyed this JBL. They don't really disappoint, no matter how ridiculous the plot. This didn't really have a ton of plot, but that is okay, not every story needs an intense story. This was mostly 2 insanely beautiful men who loved each other but never say it out loud. What is great about this JBL is that it straddle what I have seen to be a thing with Japanese LGBTQ series/movies, in that either they are usually so reserved in intimacy bordering on not even bromance, more like asexuality OR it's so graphic it sometimes borders on obscene. This show was a beautiful balance of the two extremes. They were hot for each other and it showed but also, their love scenes were quite reserved (and beautifully shot) for how hot they were.
Overall, this was a great series and I am going to miss it.

I liked this alot. I feel like the whole debtor/kidnapping plot was too much and this would have been better with a just a romantic plot. Them just struggling to come out to their family and friends, maybe a problem with the business that them working together helps them grow closer or something. But the idea that a man who has a whole successful business can disappear for 3 months and no one says anything, especially his parents is nuts. Also, if Phomjai saved the debtor's business, why not call Yang's debt settled and let Phomjai go?
Anyway, loved all the characters and the acting was great.

I feel like this show should be longer so that they can work out the plot better. They just need more time to explain all that is going on clearly, cause I was quite lost this episode. I feel like if they had even 2 more episodes, we can understand the whole Diao's family awfulness as well as the whole ruin the wedding plan. It would literally only take a few montages to get it clear.
That NC scene was top tier. First, I have to say I am truly grateful they waited so long to put Nat in a NC scene cause no matter what that man does, he still looks like a teenage boy. Not to mention he is soo tiny, especially compared to Max that it is totally necessary to make sure that when we google his age, he is not close to any number that begins with a 1. Second, well done Aof and gang. It was tasteful and beautiful as Cutie Pie, but also they went a lot further. Lord help us for Zee and Nunew's new show. Nat may not be able to make decent cry face, (I literally have to cover his face if I think a tear is coming, cause I cannot), but his sex face is solid. 😂

Side Note: I need them to stop putting Nat in the ridiculous clunky chunky platform shoes. Its okay he is sooooo much smaller than Max. They don't help and often look stupid on his feet.

My goodness, thank you. I was so confused by Yi acting like he didn't know and Diao acting like Yi didn't know, but I was like, didn't they come up with the plan together!? Why does he have to meet in secret with the boys? This helped clear things up. I also didn't quite know the reason for ruining the wedding, but this makes sense.

Oh gosh, you're right! I almost forgot that drama. That looks like a tearjerker though. I trust Aof, so we shall see how JimmySea do under his direction.

I literally hold my breath each time there is a new scene. One half of me regrets not waiting to watch this so I can binge it, cause this waiting a whole week is some bull, but the other half is sooo glad I get to see this in real time, cause what an amazing show. I have been complaining about Thai shows this year, cause let's be honest, they have been poo on a stick, but despite the lack of romance this is top tier tv. What I love the most about this show is in real life, most of the time people really do accept all the flaws of their friends or lovers, they over look shitty behavior to the annoyance or to their detriment. And this show really does a great job of showing flawed individuals who are living their lives, feeling their feelings as they come, sometimes ignoring their true feeling and sometimes running head first into them. Boston is the worst, but several times, this show made me sympathize with him and even agree with some of his assessments of his friends. Nick was dead wrong for his behavior but he suffered for them and then moved on. While I don't think Daddy Dan is the guy, I love that they didn't turn Nick in to a psycho stalker who becomes obsessed with Boston, which they could have soo easily done. Mew forgiving Top is a common thing. Soooo many people forgive after cheating believing the cheater will never do again, cause they are sorry. And sometimes that is true and they work out. Most times, it does not. But Mew will never know unless he tries, and he obviously still loves Top. And Cheum is right, Top still loves Mew. Or....he just doesn't like to be the one who is dumped. Who knows!
I truly hope they show Ray getting help and he and Sand ride off into the sunset together, cause I will definitely be the most hurt if they end badly. I'm rooting for Ray to get his shit together cause he does have a legit traumatic beginning and needs help to get over that.

I cannot believe we still have three episodes left. It feels like we have lived a whole life with this crew!
Side note: We need to see more of Mond in things. He was hot in Not Me and he is hot in this. I need more of him!

I figured out who this drama is made for. This is for the newbie BL watcher who doesn't know yet that there are dramas out there with more chemistry than this. Someone who has never seen a BL before and just came across this by chance and thought the title was cool and the boys were pretty. The only ship I am sailing in this drama is Guy and Nawa, who in one, probably less than 5 minute, scene gave me more chemistry than all of Kang and Sailom combined. This isn't even giving fluff. Just 2 bros who say the words they like each other but don't really. Perth is doing much better than Chimon at this point, but both are giving me 2 straight dudes who are here to make money real quick. Every hug gave hetero. And here is the thing. I know that like 90% of the BL actors are straight, but they are actors, so please...act like you like your boyfriend. What teen boy doesn't JUMP at the chance to see their hot boyfriend shirtless, or avoids kisses and calls them a pervert for wanting one?! Sigh, also, I really hate to be one of those people, but where is the dangerous ROMANCE?! That title should have been reserved for some passionate affair, where they can't resist each other, even to their own detriment. I PRAY that next week they don't try to give us a NC scene while on "vaca", like a typical BL. It would be pandering to do so. Gahhh, Thai BLs this year are letting me down. I am dying for a BL that balances somewhere between the realism of Only Friends and the sweeping romance of Tale of a thousand stars/Crash Landing On You/GameBoys/ ITSAY/Light On Me/We Best Love.

Just finished bingeing this. I am deviating from alot of the reviews I am seeing. I liked it, but I liked the first one better. Even though the Thai version had problems completing due to Covid, the Thai version was better fleshed out in terms of the romance. With Fighter and Tutor, you could tell when the shift from being adversaries to being into each other happened. The 10 second stare scene was more impactful in the Thai version because they finally both let themselves feel their feelings. Woo Sunwoo walking away after Go Yo kissed him made no sense, especially after dude all but confessed. But I will say, I liked this ship better. It was closer to the original than the main couple. That story was all over the place. Again, you got to see the moments where Zon started to like Saifah. And you knew almost from the beginning that Saifah always liked Zon. This version, Kim Ji-Oh went from hating Jung Lee Won in a flash, and it was so unclear what made him change his mind. Then Jung Lee Won, never really acted like he liked Kim Ji-Oh, he spent most episodes avoiding him or being mean to him. Then the break up scene ended weirdly and they were suddenly kissing?!
It was a great quick light weight show just to fill the void, but for me the Thai version is better.

Omg, thank you! From all the hate I was seeing, I fully expected it to be bad when I binged it. I just finished it and loved! One, very Japanese with the exaggerated behavior, but I love that. May its because I am older, and have seen all the genres for tv, so your sitcom explanation hits me harder. I loved this season, just like I love season 1, and I would love a third one. Here is hoping the complaints didn't ruin the chance.

I'm mostly watching for Max in tight shirts and peeks at his upper body, cause Lord that man is work of art. I love Nat as an actor (not so much as a singer), but his face when he is supposed to be crying is not good.
I did not understand anything about the ruining the wedding and what ever MaxZee/DiaoKuea were planning. I am not sure if it was the subs or just that who ever wrote this forgot to include better dialogue to flesh out what was actually being said.
I really hope Yi tells Diao soon about the tiger. It's ridiculous to hide it at this point, since he kind of knows already.

Yeah, he obviously still isn't over Top and he really shouldn't be or he was never in love with Top to begin with. He is spiraling because what he thought he was building with Top fell apart.

I LOVE how this series is so realistic. Everyone is deeply flawed, like normal people, making mistakes all the time, some times learning from them, other times steam rolling over the consequences to make more mistakes.
Mew's behavior makes so much sense when you consider that he has probably spent all his life "being good" and "doing the right thing", He even was still super cautious with Top, knowing that he wasn't normally Tops type, that Top was a player. To go to the lengths that he did to protect his heart and body for as long as he did, it meant sooo much that he let his guard down and finally let Top in. So for Top to break that trust so easily...of course Mew is going a little crazy. Being good got him nothing but heart break, why not try being bad? After all, even Cheum, who has been nagging him, lets herself get stupid drunk and party, while Mew is usually the caretaker of the group. It's Mew's turn now. I just hope that now that he almost got in trouble with the law for taking drugs, he will slow down and feel his feelings, cause right now all he is really doing is running from them.

Ray...stupid, trouble, asshole Ray. I have mixed feeling for Ray. Part of me wants him to really face consequences of his actions. But I know he has to hit rock bottom before he admits he needs help. I hope this last almost getting arrested again and put in jail episode was bottom for him and that he finally admits he needs to get his shit together. I hope he also sees that Mew is using him to avoid his feelings and he doesn't actually like him like that. Mew refusing to say he like him back and also not kissing him in private but to hurt Top spoke volumes, I hope Ray is listening. Side Note, I think Ray actually really likes Sand, he just has like Mew for so long that now that he has the opportunity to be with him, he is taking it. However, he keeps seeking Sand out because like he said, being around him makes him happy. I hate what he is doing to Sand though...

Sand I am also conflicted for him. On the one hand, I believe that he is the only one who can help Ray get the help, but I also want to have him run in the opposite direction of Ray as far away as he can. You can tell he truly loves Ray and that he knows that continuing with Ray will be to his detriment, but he is weak for Ray. He is doing an admirable job of trying to keep the distance though, if only Ray would unfuck his shit.

Top- I have always felt conflicted about whether Top truly loved Mew or did he just want to concur the virgin. At least until they showed the notebook with the drawings. The fact that he drew Mew in all the ways they had been together...it was obvious those drawings were done of the side of Mew that he loved. Which is why him being so concerned for how much Mew is changing make sense. He loved the nerdy Mew who loved books and was kind. Knowing he caused this change must suck for him. I mean he deserves it of course, but that hug at the end was touching. I don't know that I want them to get back together, but if they did I wouldn't be mad. People do make relationships work even after infidelity. Not me, but people.

Nick - I don't feel bad for him. I see so many posts about protect Nick. But Ton was soooo clear about the kind of person he was, what his boundaries were and what to expect from him. And he kept his word. Nick needs to now respect Ton's wishes and leave him alone. Some one blocking you from every source you have for them is a very clear message to leave them alone. Looks like he will next week but I am not sure I like where the story is going with him and his boss..."Daddy." Seems like another situation where boundaries should be established but are getting ignored.

Ton - deserves the silent treatment from his friends, and Cheum's brother has to know about Ton, so hopefully that doesn't get too messy.

I have to disagree about this pandering to shippers. What Sand is doing is very realistic. Soooooo many people in real life get into relationships that they know are horrible for them, but for what ever reason that person has some sort of hold on them. It has happened again and again in every day relationships. One of the best things about this show is that it shows people as they really are, deeply flawed, who make mistakes even though they should know better. Take Nick, he deserves how Ton is treating him, he also should let Ton go, even more than Sand, but there he was today begging. And Ton told him from the start he wasn't gonna do relationships. Nick falling in love with Ton, makes no logical sense, especially considering that he wants a relationship with him, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

I feel like Perth is giving the BL heat, but I have never felt Perth Chimon vibes. I cannot ship them. Now Marc and Win, I can ship them. They are giving more sexual tension and Guy and Nawa still obviously hate each other. I cannot see how they get together, but I hope they are our second couple.

It is time for Vee to get over himself and either stop rejecting Sky or reject him once and for all. At this point, its giving over dramatic. Sky didn't cheat on Vee or trick him or lie or something that warrants this kind of continuous rejection/anger. You got your feelings hurt, but maybe Sky was umderstandable confused at that time and needed time to process. And that does not deserve this cold shoulder, push and pull thing he is doing.
All this episode needed was for Vee to be like, tell me why you re changing your mind and what happened in the past when I confessed to you, what was the reason? Then Sky explains himself (which he tried to do, but Vee refused to listen) and we move to long episodes of dating and cute shit.
I pray we get that next episode

I had to fast forward that part. His dad said horrible things to him (for what, we don't know, they gave zero context for his dad to feel that way about Joke), didn't apologize, then wanted a hug. And my gripe is, no one wants a hug from someone who just called them horrible things, especially in front of a friend/boyfriend. The embarrassment alone would of had him dragging Zo out of there without a backwards glance.

Definitely needs to work on his expressions.

This is the best mess I have ever seen! I knew Mew had this in him, but I hate this happened to drive him to it. And while I don't condone recording people without consent...Boston deserved that fear of the consequences of his actions. I kind of wish Mew had said, 'and for the rest of your life, you'll never know when I will release this clip, so you'll feel half as shitty as you made me feel.' 🤣 But I guess Mew is better than me.
I REALLY hope Ray and Mew don't get together. Ray is a mess that Mew does not need and I wish Mew had been more honest about why he wasn't into Ray. I mean, he obviously has thought about it, even before Top, so just a clear, 'I won't ever by into you' needs to happen. Then as much as Mew need a friend like Ray, they need to take some space from each other for Ray to try and move on.
I had hoped that he would be moving on to Sand, but alas that looks like that won't be happening. Admittedly, the therapist in me doesn't think Ray needs any romantic relationship right now but instead needs rehab and TONS of therapy, Sand could have been that friend who remained by his side while he went through that and then if they were both still into it, they could transition to relationship. But now Ray has played too many games with Sand's heart, and hopefully Sand is gonna tell him where to take that shit.
Poor Baby Nick. That's all. Just Poor Baby Nick.
I truly believe that Top loves Mew, but has never had a healthy relationship or one that was based on anything other than sexual gratification, so he didn't know how to beg for another chance with Mew, which is why he messed up that ending scene so badly. I kind of want to see him on his knees begging for Mew to come back. I feel like if he had done that when he burn the picture or when he accidently punched Mew, he would have been showing genuine emotions for once and maybe Mew would start to believe he truly was sorry.

I will say that this week brought tons of great acting by everyone. Book and Mark impressed me so much this episode.
