I liked the first episode although it had some moments I had to skip. First was Taekwondo daddy. I don't need to see to get his character, it was just a weird scene. Second was Kon Diao falling in the airport. Like up, what was that!? The initial phone call and burst into tears was beautifully done and I am not a huge fan of Nat's crying (He is an ugly crier, not his fault, but I try to skip when he is crying) and of they had not had him them ugly shoes that sounded too big on him or something stomping through the airport, I would have enjoyed that...up until he fell. Like come on, do better. Otherwise, I liked it. As always Nat and Nunew's real life friendship seems to translate well on screen as Kon Diao and Kuea. That scene where they 'sort of' talk about sex was hilarious, albeit a bit juvenile for people their age. I am dying to know why Kon Diao got shy the point of not doing it with Yi and let that go on for 2 years...Like Huh! You had that gorgeous hunk o'man and did not hit that on the regular!? And why was he shy, they had to have done it more that that one time on the couch...although he did run away at the end of Cutie Pie but we assumed Yo chased him and changed his mind...I hope they explain that further cause its weird... Anyway, I look forward to this next episode.
I am surprised by the comments. This episode was the best so far and this has been a great series, in my opinion. Jun is liked by all three guys because he is cute as hell and yes he is truly oblivious to all those people liking him. I don't think he has a clue Hyun Jae likes him, but lets be clear Hyun Jae has done a horrible job of expressing his feeling clearly. So far, especially to Lee Jun, he is just someone who cares for Lee Jun. Which makes sense since they used to be manager and idol. As far as Lee Jun is concerned, Hyun Jae is just his ex manager who is still taking care of him. I think Lee Jun does know about Simeon liking him, because he ignores all the blantant flirting or responds like you would as a friend. It seems deliberate on Lee Jun's part, so that Simeon will stop. I don't think he thinks Simeon is actually serious about him. This episode show cased Both Jun's realizing if they did not tell each other how they felt, neither one would know. Typical misunderstanding trope, but not enough for all the criticism I've seen. I don't know where anyone got that we were getting a second couple from. I never saw that anywhere. They haven't even hinted at it. The pacing is great for a typical KBL with only 8 episodes. Next weeks final episode is going to packed to clear up all the misunderstandings. I do wish they had had Hyun Jae finally confess in this 7th episode, just to have a bit more time to deal with the obvious heartbreak he is going to experience. I also wish that Choi Jun had explained in this episode the things he said he had to wait to explain. Lile, why!? This is actually why KBLs need to be 12 episodes, cause then they can do this kind of stuff and we won't be getting a final episode so jam packed it leaves some stuff out. Anyway, I think this show is deserves a much better rating. Is it 8th Sense, absolutely not. But is it drop worthy, absolutely not!
idk why people are hating this? like ok chill. if you dont like it, dont watch it. if its not your cup of tea,…
Agreed! I see too often how a show has no plot or is going to slow and I'm like...its a story, its not supposed to just get to everything at once. I LOVED episode 7. It deserves a much higher rating.
For anybody who is dissatisfied with episode 3 read the novel!! Everything that happened in episode 3 was done…
Thanks for that, the novel makes it alot easier to take...sort of. I mean if he still did all those crazy things to Sailom in the book, its still nuts to me he would still like him. But it makes it easier to know this was written this way. Can I ask if you know where I can read the novel in English.
I haven't finished the episode cause...subtitles, but these comments making justifications for why Sailom is so forgiving of Kang a couple days after being literally tortured by him!?! Like what!?! He wasn't doing just normal run of the mill bullying (name calling, hell, even the old push his papers down or shoulder checking him into the lockers) He literally sexually assaulted Sailom and his friend, tried to ruin his work, which he is dependent on for his scholarship, oh yeah, lied on him to get the scholarship taken away, got him fired from a job he needed desperately by accusing him of pediphilia (something I would assume he could get arrested for). A job by the way, they may have helped NOT get beaten because he would have been able to hand over some money. And last but not least he brought a GUN to try to 'scare' him. Like HUH!?! This is not forgivable just because he came in at the right time to help him. He can not and DID NOT (at least at the time of the bike ride, where Chimon makes soft lovey face at Perth) apologize for his horrifying behavior. I WISH who ever wrote this had not made the bullying so bad. It has made this soo hard to ship. And then I was hoping we would get some major character development for Kang, but nope, dreamy doe eyed staring 2 seconds after bringing a gun to get revenge. Ugh! And Sailom continuing to tutor him because of the money makes sense. Him doing it to help Kang be a better person, just no. Not at this point of the story. It would have been soooo much better if it showed Sailom hating Kang for a few more episodes while Kang got to see how truly awful a person he was. And no Daddy issue excuses either. I am displeased with something that only, let's be honest, sort of had potential. I love both Perth and Chimon, but I am not feeling a ton o' chemistry between them. They are both great actors, and they are going to give us the best performance they can based on the script and direction, but between their lack of chemistry and this piss poor writing, I am disappointed.
What was the purpose of this episode? Ashi was sick and now we have Punn in Japan, but for what reason. It doesn't move the story along, he's not even planning to tell Ashi about the photos, which he should! If he had gone because after he told MingMuaeng and they decided to talk to Wan and THEN she advised Punn to sign the contract so they could figure out what was the purpose of blackmailing Punn and the SHE sent Punn and MingMueang to go protect/investigate who has been spying on Ashi and posting those pictures, it would have made sense. But nope. Just cute Ben, Title being a gross creep stalker and lots o' NC scenes and zero story forwarding. Speaking of NC scenes, I wasn't expecting that from JaFirst. It was still awkward looking but better than expected. Jo and especially Boston are taking their jobs as NC contributor seriously. 🤣 Jo said imma use this KinnPorsche experience and cement my place as NC expert. Boston...well that boy has either been waiting his whole life to do these scenes or took one HELL of a workshop. One no one else but Jo took...
I think that has been the prevailing theme of 2023 BLs. Hot NC scenes but storylines with potential, poor acting (God, I don't think I'll ever be able to look at Ja the same again, they ruined him! Did you see him SKIPPING during the Japanese tour?! Like he was a 5 year old holding his mommy's hand on a trip to the zoo! 🤢) but poorly executed. Sigh...
Another great episode. I messy, messy episode, but it's we're here for. Ton is not the great human being on earth but he's honestly one of the least confusing characters. He literally is what he is. He has never denied he wasn't a good guy. He has been all the way up front with Nick. And even though he manipulated Top, Top absolutely did not have to fall for Ton's bait. This was all on Top. Top could have been like, yeah, now I have questions, let me stay with Mew and ask him when he sobers up. The end. He chose to go to meet Ton and he chose to have sex with him. While I sort of felt bad for Nick in the beginning, cause he really is just a kid who hasn't dealt with a player before so he is going to have to get his feeling hurt before he knows NOT to date the town hoe, I didn't by the end. Like I said, Ton as has been all the way transparent about what their relationship is. Nick snooping in his room and then bugging his car and watching...yeah that crossed the line into stalking. He has gone to far. So I can kind of see where Ton says all those mean things to him in the trailer if he finds out that Nick has been stalking him. Lastly, I am all the way invested in the SandRay situation. I have no hope of a happy ending for anyone but them. Yes, its a glimmer of a hope, but its still there. On one hand, I want Sand to run from Ray cause he is a whole hot mess! But at the same time Ray seems to be interested in Sand enough that given half a chance he may turn his chaotic life around and get with someone who can be there for him. Mew obviously isn't it. I definitely need to see the video or find out what Ray and Mew are to each other. Gah what a mess! I love it! 🤣
Perth is doing too good of a job cause I hate Kang. And no his rescuing Sailom at the end doesn't make up for all that he has done and literally planned to do when he interrupted the thugs. Like he literally came to threaten Sailom with a loaded gun. Accidents happen and what if the gun had gone off. All because Sailom just refused to do what he wanted. Sailom didn't even try to get back at him once for all the crap he pulled. He literally was trying to get Sailom's scholarship taken away which had he been successful (and he almost was if it wasn't for his badass friend and even badder ass grandma), the whole trajectory of Sailom's life would have been changed. I am restraining from saying ruined, cause he smart both academically and street, so he would have found a way eventually. But it would probably taken a long time to recover from just that. I'm not even going to mention the computer trick cause its child's play compared to spreading a rumor that Sailom was a pedofile! Like WTF!? I would rather take a beating from the thugs then all the stuff Kang did to Sailom. A beating, hell even the burn, while it suck, you can recover from (most of the time) if they don't kill you. But losing the scholarship as well as his means of income (a student who has to work 2 plus jobs, three if you count the tutoring, NEEDS the money) would have literally been a long term if not a permanent detriment to his life. How in the hell is this going to turn to romance I cannot see it, cause in reality, just what he did to his friend last episode would have made me hate this guy for life. Even if he some how miraculously changes. I love that Sailom never back down. Most people, faced with the kind of poverty they are showing they face, would have cave and just taken the shit Kang was doling out, but I was so proud he was just like, I will find another way. I like the side characters, Guy and Nawa. Marc and Pawin always have had great chemistry, so I am excited to see where this goes. I don't quit shows, so I will keep watching. Plus, I love Perth, he is a great actor and Chimon is amazing, so I don't doubt this will be a good show. I'm just saying, I am not on board the whole 'oh good he finally saw the error of his ways' cause Kang is kinda evil, ya'll.
I waited to watch this series cause I was kind of let down by JaFirst's last series Remember Me. Not their fault, totally the writing, but like so many BLs these days, it had the world of potential but it was a let down. So I waited. But I got bored and and instead of rewatching a comfort BL, I chose to put this on. Sigh...WTF told Punn to act like a horny child!? I get that they are going for he supposed to be younger but WTH!? Like who saw his first take on this and said, that's it! That is how 20 somethings act when they are close to graduating college and have a crush. Gah! I haven't cringed this bad since Fahlunruk. I feel so bad for First, cause this isn't an acting problem, this is a writer/director/producer problem. Who thought that a rational person would be attracted to someone like Punn, with the way he acts? How do you de-hotify Ja!?!? I did not think it could be done, but Blegh. I don't get the side couple other than bravo these are top tier NC scenes. But if you ask why Mueau wanted to be with Ning outside of fuck buddies, I could tell you. All that, 'Once I got to know you...' When sir did you get to know him. Other than to know ya'll better use protection every time. Side note, poor doggies. Just poor doggies. I'm going to continue this only because I didn't quit Bite Me and that is still the worse BL ever, so imma keep trucking through, but man, here goes another BL that had potential but blew it.
What a beautiful ending to a great story. I loved both seasons of this and this movie was done perfectly to end their story. Quick recap of the show, then on to new stuff. It was beautifully shot and wonderfully acted. I am truly sad this is probably the end for this couple, but I look forward to their future works. The story was good, not too convoluted. I just loved this whole thing! Thanks to those who posted links, cause I was so afraid I wasn't going to get to see this. I would actually pay for this if given a chance as a international fan. I want to own this and the series. Definitely rewatchable
I actually like the show. Yes, Dunk needs a bit o'improvement, but its not terrible. I'm not caught up on the name or looking for the hidden agenda. The plot is Joke started with an agenda but switched to open flirting and got his man. Speaking of, I wished they had had a moment in between Zo telling off Puen and them getting to the apartment, where they showed WHEN it clicked for Zo that he was ready to accept Joke as his boyfriend. Like what was the moment that pushed him fron being at grandma's and saying we aren't boyfriends to grabbing Joke and laying one on him. It could have been a lingering glance at the hospital or while eating congee. Even just riding back to the apartment after the thing with Puen, but it felt a little out of no where he got all seductive and warm. Dunk did pull that off, leading to a hot kiss. You could tell Joong was fixated on the bottom lip, which he has said he likes about Dunk. 🤣
Neo deserves some kind of reward for this role. If he doesn't get all the roles he wants after this, throw the whole company away. Honestly, this show is bringing out the acting chops of everyone. Khaotung and First have always been great, so its no surprise that that they would be great in these roles. I feel like despite what we have seen of the MewTop story, we are going to cry the most over SandRay. I like that we got some vulnerability out of Top. And while I still cannot tell if he truly likes Mew or if he is just ' a challenge' for him, I'm hoping that Mew standing his ground and not being a typical doormat (who I think Top is used to), will have him actually be into Mew. Book is surprising me. This role seemed kind of similar to his other roles, but I feel like he has some hidden depths. I loved that he isn't like, please please just take my virginity, Mr. Hot Man (not gonna lie, if Force were in front of me like that, I would cave). He is like, yeah you are hot, but what else is to you. Ahh, poor Nick. This will be painful to watch but he is totally setting himself up. Boston not even an asshole, he has been totally upfront as to who he is and what he wants. Definitely cannot wait until next week.
Side note: Neo's and Force's bodies are treats for he eyes. Neo's thighs are doing the Lord's work.
Good first episode. I have NO idea how they are going to redeem Kang's character cause right now, he is a raging asshole. Its impossible to ship at this point. Like who in their right mind would fall for someone who did THIS to him and his friends!?!? Ahhh, the magic of TV. His dad situation is not enough for me to empathize with him. But I ended up loving MODC's Xiao Hao Ting despite him being a jerk at first too, so we shall see.
I disagree that Lee Jun is bland, as I keep seeing. I think the reason so many people like him is he is unassuming and cute. He is humble and genuinely trying to do his best, which is refreshing. Especially for people like Choi Jun, who is wealthy and is probably on engaged for his family to make money moves. Or Hyun Jae, and Simeon who work in the entertainment industry and probably met some awful people who will do anything to get ahead. I get why they are all crushing on him. What I am frustrated with is Hyun Jae dropping hints, seeing Jee Jun being totally oblivious and obviously considering him a friend only and not just out right confessing. Especially now that Choi Jun is in the picture and so obvious with his wanting of Lee Jun. Choi Jun frustrates me, cause he wants Lee Jun, but it never occured to him that being affectionate with Young and then confessing they were engaged wasn't the best way to set up a relationship with Lee Jun. Instead of asking him out, why oh why didn't he come over and just explain the back story. They were doing the whole, let's get to know each other thing, why not continue that. Ahh, with only 3 episodes left I have no clue how they are going to sort this out with out a bunch more confusion. Which is a shame. Side note: The actor who plays Simeon's caps distract me the everytime he is on screen.
Otherwise, I liked it. As always Nat and Nunew's real life friendship seems to translate well on screen as Kon Diao and Kuea.
