I hated the FL at the start, but she grow on me later. Their last tribulation had the best chemistry, they felt like a real couple, very sweet. Their interactions in the demons world in the next arc was just *chief kiss*. The ML styling and acting was so adorable there.
The FL acting was okay but not great and her "acting cute" and pouting in the early episodes honestly almost got me to quit the drama. But I am glad I continued, it was worth it in the end.
Does the story have logic holes and issues? Yes. Was it frustrating to watch some scenes? yes! But for some reason it still clicked in the end and was a satisfying watch. The ML did a lot of the heavy lifting here though
I was looking forward to this drama, it had all the elements I like. Male chases FL first, steamy scenes and no heartache. Yet this drama was boring and way too long for the story. It could have been 10eps at most and it would have been better.
Food scenes were way too many. We were basically watching daily life and 3 meals a day spending time talking about how delicious every dish is. I like not having bad twists, but the fillers could have been more interesting..
The ML and FL are cute together. I can't believe I am saying this but I even fast forwarded their later kiss scenes. It became repetitive and lacked sufficient heat for this type of drama.
Anyway, I know sometimes I love something that others hate and vice versa, I am glad others enjoyed it.
Does it appear to anyone but me that Feng Shao Feng has had some recent plastic surgery. His mouth was so tight…
Tbh I doubt it's plastic surgery. He clearly uses Botox which affects facial expressions but it's not a surgery. I also think it's the role as he is just so wooden and meant to be sickly so he walks and talks slow too. Far cry from his character in the story of Mingling
I just finished it. It was a decent watch, though no chemistry between leads. Not sure what is wrong with the FL wig it looked awful, kept getting distracted by the clear wig line in the back also the style doesn't suit her.
The story was interesting up to the middle and a bit later then honestly got too predictable for me later. The ending was so predictable in every detail though part of me still hoped I would somehow get surprised by something, nope.
The main couple were so annoyingly perfect and their lines too preachy. The young emperor was a better written character with more dimensions. The female character that was after the ML was so childishly annoying ugh... The second and third couples romance captured my interest more than leads.
Still don't regret the watch. Somehow still managed to make me smile and even tear up a few times.
Luo Zi Shang love her.But... in all whole drama there will be no reprocity of any kind. In no drama have I seen…
I would add it was clear the third ml (Ye Shi An) also loved the FL even though he never admitted it out loud. You can tell in his reactions in few scenes and the fact he never wanted to get married after
I was surprised that I enjoyed watching and didn't skip anything. Acting from the cast was strong. The characters were likable. I felt the FL was a bit too perfect which made her one dimensional. Also, no one can repeatedly become so rich with little capital every single time. Still it was a good watch.
I thought the leads had great chemistry. Not through hot scenes but because they made their love so convincing in their every move and look. They had two kisses on screen but they made them count, it was mutual love.
The ML surprised me with his acting skills. His scene in the desert trying to save his wife was incredibly touching and felt real.
Overall, it wasn't perfect but so far among the best dramas I have watched this year. There were parts in the plot that made no sense but not more than your average historical cdrama
It's full of twists and turns, a bit too much to make sense but probably because I ended up skipping a lot towards the end. I wouldn't watch it for romance, not sure why but the leads relationship didn't hook me at all. I lived the 2ML character the most, I feel that actor deserves more lead roles
Wow, the plot is so bad and full of holes. But the main couple are very cute and sweet. I really liked the FL actress, she's adorable and beautiful. The ML is very good looking too. The plot in the novel is soooo bad and the novel ML (not the real ML) has the personality and charisma of a wet noodle, doesn't look great either and his relationship with the novel FL is just awful 🤢. Their acting is also awful. The real main leads were very cute together but I basically had to skip everything except their scenes. Also the plot in the last few eps takes crazy to next level and even has the awful trope of "breaking up for your own good".. ugh.
I would say if you like the lead actors, I would watch their scenes. If not, don't bother. I thought it was okay because I liked them
