I know it says Female chases male first, I usually hate that trope, however this one is not exactly that. The ML already liked the FL by the time she confessed, but he had his reasons to hide it. Poor guy, let's just say he had to make up for it 10 folds 😅

It's a little bit drawn out in the mortal world but I didn't mind it at all because I just fell in love with the characters and wanted to watch more.
NiNi is incredibly charming and a natural, I felt her every emotion deeply. Chang Chen was a perfect fit for the role, no one could have fit it better.
This one passed the test of time for me, highly recommend
Came expecting a light rom com. Stole my heart, made my cry, laugh and smile. All amazing acting cast, some of the best acting I have seen. Seriously prepare a lot of tissues, it really hit home for me.

I am also still not sure why the ML fell in love at first, he even called her fiancee publicly but he barely knew anything about her at the time. Like suddenly he fell in love so deep he was committing publicly he would marry her without telling her first!

The plus sides, great looking cast all around, great Mother in law character. You decide if that's worth watching

Like the evil character had everything he needed to rule both kingdoms easily but chose the crazy way for no reason. Like he was actually next in line for power + knew where the flame was, could have blackmailed Qi to submission with it or negotiated some nice agreement for all. Why destroy everything? Like he played the long game for 10 years and then just said F it, I will light the world on fire just cause....

I really didn't feel chemistry between the leads as much as I would have liked. The FL was better at showing her feelings. The ML is very handsome, not a bad actor but I really didn't buy his attraction to the FL acting wise for some reason except in few scenes towards the end.
Story wise it not that good either, I love plot with smart leads, but this isn't it. They were inconsistent in the use of their brains. Very smart in parts but idiots when it comes to communicating with each other.
