Very steamy, almost softcore level. The ML if existed in reality would have been a scary and exhausting character. Like the ML repeatedly says the only thing he is interested in life is the FL, no hobbies or other passions in life. He wants her touch all time, even jealous of her reading books and looking like a disappointed puppy. In a real relationship this would get exhausting quickly! Thankfully this is not real life to worry about unhealthy obsessions.
Very sexy the whole way through. Cannot really rate it as a drama because it didn't feel like one ;) , but don't regret watching it
That's it, I have decided this drama ends about 13 mins into eps 33. I refuse to accept anything beyond that. I don't even care if there is happy ending after. No spoilers here.
Based on that it was a very fun watch. No logic whatsoever and plot holes enough to make a swiss cheese jealous. Usually I make lists of plot holes to share but there are too many in this case to list. That being said, you know? I still really enjoyed it. I just loved all the main good characters so much. The FL was particularly loveable and I really liked her. It had strong sismance, bromance, romance and friendship. Really natural playful interactions between the characters.
I agree about the plot holes. During episode one, I kept wondering why she didn't just take off the VR headset…
To name a few more off the top of my head: -The cheat mode was used to get herbs for sick villagers but not when herbs were needed to treat the ML or even help in any situation after that. It's like it was forgotten 🙈 - no real remorse or consequences for 2nd ML who almost caused the real death of the leads INTENTIONALLY and many times. He actually killed the FL one time using her only remaining in game lives ... She was supposed to die if she got killed again in game. -FL cannot recognize her love just because he was wearing a mask on half of his face. Like his face profile was completely visible on one side. Seriously??? He didn't even change his voice. -The FL randomly stops to have a casual conversation before returning with the medicinal herbs she collected for her poisoned love. - 2nd ML casually left his love interest who is blind alone in the game for 3 damn years. -on several occasions the FL or ML would get seriously injured or life at risk and they barely react to it. Even when ML came to rescue the FL inside the fire when he was in love with her, he walked rather than ran to find her. The FL barely reacted to her love getting stabbed towards the end. She cried more at crown princes death .
I can't continue, the story is all over the place. The ML acting is good and it was kept me going as far. But I just couldn't get into the story itself at all
One of my favorites dramas. Would rewatch again for sure. I like it for the romance not the detective plot. The ML is a great actor he is certainly someone I follow to watch more of his shows now.
The lead couple had some of the best chemistry I have seen in historical dramas.

You are not alone. They should have left it as a fluffy romance and not attempt the "feminist" angle as it was…
I agree it's sad when some women don't realize how misogynistic it is for a man to tell them they are not like other women because all other women are manipulative and calculating. Still, I wouldn't call these women incels though! I feel most women go through some phases of internalized misogyny to some degree because of how much it gets shoved down our throat growing up that most women are "bad" and we shouldn't be like other women..etc. I certainly had a phase like this in my teens to early twenties that I got over thankfully.
I liked the fluff in the drama and it was fun. But I wouldn't take life lessons from it and the drama was better off staying away from harmful stereotypes of women. I still respect that others may like it and that's okay
The thing I hate the most: public confession (proposal?). Here we had them for both main and side couple. It's…
Yeah very cringy. I had to skip some of these parts as they were too difficult to watch.
They made her have super woman powers that were unrealistic. Again, the message was you are only special if you beat men in their interests. This made the FL so one dimensional too. As I explained in another comment. It looked like what a teen would think a "strong woman character" is like. She was closer to a drunken sailor having fist fights to solve every problem...
Am I the only one who got a bit confused by the message of this drama? Misogyny here and there, the FL goes around…
You are not alone. They should have left it as a fluffy romance and not attempt the "feminist" angle as it was terrible in this series. It more like how a teen may think a strong woman character is like
It was a fun light watch with strong chemistry. But I really hate this "not like other women" trope. Also some scenes were plain stupid, like having the FL drive recklessly fast in narrow streets to show she is a good driver...
They made the woman into all male interests and better than men in them and it was why she was "cool". But can't a women be cool unless she is into male interests? I hated how they portrait being a strong woman at work meant acting like the men. I work in a male dominated field and forced myself to act tough to fit in my early career, it was unhealthy. Now I know better and seeing a successful woman being portrait like this as a strong female role model disappointed me.
As a fluffy drama, not to be taken seriously it was fun watch. It's the bad attempt at social commentary on gender discrimination that disappointed me the most
I strangely enjoyed it and watched till the end. Probably because I really liked the FL character. The writing and directing was awful though. The story is full of plot holes that you need to just ignore. Regardless I liked the lead actors so I watched it and still enjoyed it
The ML acting is awful, the rest of the acting is not good either. The ML looks like a Ken doll to me, made him ironically look uncanny. But good thing about it is that it doesn't drag long. Can be a fun watch if you don't mind the acting too much

I would consider stopping early in eps 33 to be best to avoid painful scenes.

A man telling me I am not like other women is a red flag of someone sexist.
