Who else reads the above description and think "this is going to be rubbish" even though it probably wont but…
haha yes, this one is particularly bad now that I read it. Tbh, I didn't even look at the description. I tend to judge dramas by their genres, if the cast is good, and then if the writer/s and director is good. And then I might read the description, because it's often bad, inaccurate and might even contain spoilers. And I usually don't care about a specific story so long as it's well made (so many good ideas are so poorly executed)
I put this off until I was the right mood, but now it no longer appears to be on Netflix, at least in my country. Ugh. There's such a dearth of good thrillers, at least at the moment, that I needed something like this. I hate regional licensing, so fickle.
Yeah, you need to understand the borther's relationship
You don't need to watch it, I agree with the below comment. I dropped season 1 ages ago, and am finding this season perfectly easy to follow. There's a quick recap in episode 1, but while the dynamic between brothers is compelling, it's also pretty easy to grasp. There is almost no continuity.
Oh, what an absolutely riveting story we have here! Goo Won, the epitome of brilliance and grace, is embroiled…
Yes, it's going to have to be very good in order to stand out. I think I've seen more dramas with that or similar premise... than I can count on my hands.
I'm not expecting much, but perhaps it will totally own the tropes and be a fun, cheesy rom-com.
If I'm not into medical dramas, would you still recommend this? I watch 2 episodes so far, and I'm still not interested.
Depends on what it is that you find disinteresting about medical dramas. In this drama, all medical scenarios are not realism and should be taken with more than a grain of salt. The strength of this drama is the characters (medical setting is just the perfect backdrop for their idealism). Thus, I at least recommend watching S2 first because it's the same main cast and their character arcs are important to make this engaging. If this drama is still not for you, well, this drama despite its high ratings, is not for everyone.
Episode 4Now FL is getting on my nerves for disregarding every advice of ML. She hasn't learned anything from…
She doesn't know the gravity of the situation at the time. Because the ML wasn't telling her. I'm more frustrated with him, because if he wants her to take his advice seriously, then she needs to know what's happening. She can't just be expected to listen.
The questions asked here make me feel no one is watching the episodes till the last second. In ep. 5 it was revealed…
I've seen a few shows where the killer has been obvious since the start, and they were still good. One of the benefits is that if the viewer is meant to already knows who the culprit is, the show will not waste time trying to obscure the obvious. I've seen too many where I've guessed who, and then wasted the next 5 episodes where the show thinks it's being smart haha but it just drags
So, if they can fill all the time in with a meaningful story, then this could be to the shows advantage. Of course, it's always possible it will lost momentum in the next few eps
