i think the writer is just a red herring? dont think that the killer will be made this obvious after the first…
Ordinarily, I'd agree, but my gut is telling me otherwise. Honestly, I'm basing it mostly off her book interview, where she states that the killers in her books are always female because they can kill too, and she's writing from a perspective she understands (or something along those lines) This line would not be said it if wasn't relevant.
So, even if she's not the biggest evil, she is definitely involved.
I could be wrong, I will allow, but I currently don't believe I am.
I BET THE UNCLE IS THE KILLER.. WHY? he just look creepy when we see him at EP 2 the way he call his brother (yoon…
No, it's the author the FL was working for. I am completely certain. In her book interview she said her villains are always female because women can be killers too - this was clearly relevant. And then she said in the final scene that she had to clean up some loose ends in the village, her hometown.
Not to mention her personality, completely lacking in empathy.
I hope they don't drag out the mystery of the serial killer for too long, because the foreshadowing in episode one made it obvious who it is. Hopefully they maintain this tone for the rest of the episodes, because it was really good.
I don't know where you're watching this, but I'm watching on DisneyPlus and the subtitles are a bit... like, I've…
Often the emotions in the subs fall flat, because they're not accurate enough. Like, the phrase they use is so vague and lacks personality. And I go, "Are they really finding those words so emotional?"
I don't know why, but I have always been totally ambivalent about the FL actress here. LIke, I've never disliked her, but I've seen her in the lead role of several dramas now, and her acting has just never wowed me. I never feel for her characters, and this drama is the same.
Still, this drama is enjoyable enough. I still look forward to this wrapping up my Wednesdays.
Why are the subs for this so bad? It's like they're not even trying to translate what's being said. I've always…
I don't know where you're watching this, but I'm watching on DisneyPlus and the subtitles are a bit... like, I've seen enough kdramas to know that they're not translating things directly. I often hear them speak (I don't speak Korean, but hear phrases often enough, I know what they mean), read the subs, and then determine how they got there by the context. They're not very good.
It was a fun light watch with strong chemistry. But I really hate this "not like other women" trope. Also some…
Agreed. I hate this trope too. It's fake strength.
For a strong FL that feels authentic (different genres to this) I must highly recommend Sell Your Haunted House. She's cool, a feminine, and strong, but also fragile (strong people can be fragile) and the actress was made for the role.
My favourite airing drama atm. The acting is brilliant. The characters are fun and compelling. The script is intelligent and flows well. And the music suits perfectly.
Welp, another one bites the dust. I'll wait for S4 if they decide to have another. I think instead of having to…
This, but also, before I learnt all this, I didn't like his acting. He ALWAYS plays the same character. And it is so BORING. When he plays the villain, I know not to expect any depth.
it's not a fairy tale , there is a aftermath to every decision. They have kids too , children in separated families…
If the families are mature and reasonable when they separate, the children would not live a particularly hard life - it's a generalisation to say so. And sometimes, if the parents are happier separate, the home can be much more emotionally stable. This was my experience as a kid anyway.
Her kids are pretty grown up too. And because she won shares in the building, she would still probably have a home if she did divorce. I think it's really sad that she didn't. The fact that her husband did not stand up for her once... that is not love or whatever they tried to package that as.
I think one of the reasons the plot is rather polarising, is the fact that it's the backstory of the FL. I don't…
Now, I know nothing about the laws in SK, but I've heard that without mutual agreement, it can be very hard to get a divorce without someone doing something drastic like having an affair.
A lot of his abuse seems to have been insidious/emotional, and that is very, very hard to prove.
