My message to Soo-A's and the other mom's : Please go get a life
Their life is their children. And because they know their children won't magically become geniuses, they must put down all other children so theirs come out on top. I agree though, they don't add anything positive to their scenes and I'd like them to get as little screen-time as possible.
So keen for this, and to support PHS. This won’t be on Netflix right? Does Viki upload straight away? Or do…
Upload speeds depend greatly on the drama. Often, they take longer than Netflix would (but the subtitles are better). You will only be able to access the first two episodes without the pass.
Oh, I will admit this is a rather dark drama..as in cinematography. ..especially, when you have scenes with JGS..what's…
Yeah, the night-time scenes are... almost impossible to see. I need to turn my screen brightness up so I don't strain my eyes. This is some of the worst I've seen. I like most of the rest of the drama though, so I tolerate it.
The ending is such a mess. It ruined a lot for me. A great drama should stick the landing, and as a result, this one is merely good. Also, there are so many great thrillers, I do not agree with people calling this "the best." It's simply the highest rated on this site where ratings mean very little.
Before it was her at the office preparing for her two weeks vacation, telling her secretary not to contact her…
I like that first ending more. I haven't watched this since it aired though, so I can't recall actually seeing it - all I remember is that it was a HE.
This one has become my favorite Kdrama up until this point, which is bad, because any other drama will feel bland…
When this happens, I find it best to dramatically switch genres for a while (Like, to non-romantic thrillers). Then there's less inclination to spot comparisons.
I don't know why people keep saying that they don't feel any chemistry between FL and ML. In my opinion, their…
I'm not even feeling that, and I'm looking for it. That's my favourite kind of chemistry, but for me to feel that I also need to feel a kind of trust between them, which I don't. The ML buying the building without telling the FL, for example, wasn't sweet, it made me uncomfortable. The ML is also just a really prickly person, so I don't know when he's going to say or do something thoughtless/hurtful and it means that for a lot of their scenes I'm on edge, waiting for the other shoe to drop (even when it doesn't). The FL too, I've liked this actress before, but idk, somehow I'm not convinced here. I feel like the leads are on different pages, and therefore that "natural and warm" feeling is not present for me.
Am I the only one who is not feeling any of this "chemistry" between the leads? I'm not enjoying it much, but maybe that's just because it's a bit lighter than what I usually watch.
Sorry if this has been said before, somewhere in the previous 2000 (!!) comments. But IMO this is THE BEST depiction…
Idk about that. You may have a different experience, but I'm on the autism spectrum as is the rest of my family to varying degrees. And the depiction here is PAINFUL. Yes, not really used as a plot device, which is great, but the way the FL treats her brother and various other things I find incredibly difficult to watch.
For example, after the phone stealing incident, he curls up on the couch and she keeps badgering him. Clearly, he needs some alone time and she should know this. She also whacks him regularly, probably in what is supposed to be a sign of affection, but it comes off wrong.
His body language too. Not meeting people's eyes, spouting off facts unwanted. Yes, that is accurate, but it is extremely exaggerated just like all other depictions of autism I've seen. I wish they would be more subtle about it, because many autistic people are forced to mask a lot of these things.
The drama with it's whole storyline is awesome. Na Yeon however, irritates me so much! I can not stand her character…
Her trust in the police is broken. She has no faith. And therefore, there is no motivation for her to help. Her actions are consistent with her character and backstory.
One case or multiple case. Also, is there romance? Can you also recommend crime dramas with variety of cases?
Also:
Kairos (Thriller, one case, supernatural, no detective lead though) Through The Darkness (Multiple cases, based off true story) Beyond Evil (drags a bit at the end, mostly about one connected case) May It Please The Court (Multiple cases, law) Children of Nobody (Watched years ago, good from memory)
They're all rather serious. I loved them all for various reasons.
I picked this up as I'm also a fan of crime/thriller/mystery series. Since this had season 2, I thought season…
Idk, I liked this one because it was so firmly aware of its genre and didn't try to be anything else. Often a drama will get ambitious and that ambition makes it messy. Here, I'm incredibly invested in the development of the characters and just how it was put together - and how it wasn't rushed. I find myself re-watching it every 6 months, as it's not the mystery that draws me in. It's a shame you didn't enjoy it.

All in all, it feels pretty stereotypical to me.
