Jin Woo is the KING of this show. I stayed for him, and skipped gazillions. This was way too long. There’s nothing beautiful about any love until you get to 98/100 ep. Sad. Whoever titled this needs their head examined. Now I am off to watch a nice no stress drama after this toxic mess of a series🤣🤣
Does MDL pick and choose featured reviews? Everyone at the top giving this 10/10 but 7.8 overall rating indicates a very mid show. Curious. I’m really struggling to stay with it on ep 3, but so many calling it best show ever. I get it. Some dramas you have to give it a few to get “past it” though you know so many dramas hook you in the first ep so this is disappointing when you have to tolerate a chunk to get to the good stuff… That 7.8 tho isn’t giving me much staying power….
Who cares about whether or not its the same as Go Ahead? Seriously I wouldn’t want to watch a complete copy, and if they did, everyone would be dissatisfied with lack of originality. This show is absolutely STELLAR. ❤️
Starts out super fine. Pretty typical cdrama plot. All the dumb revenge tropes are here. Conspiring relatives who want power trying to kill the other off. The pathetic 2ML who seems like the nice one, weirdly behaving like its his right to keep FL against her will. ML sacrificing himself for the greater good of the FL, and endless moments of FL turning her back on incredibly repentant and loving ML, cos “why”?? its a trope. Throw in multiple death or near death scenes far too often repeated it just turns into a disappointment.
In the end, they don’t manage to save FL, which was the entire point of the show. Silly waste of potential.
Stunning visuals, vibe, leads. Music is incredibly loud - so be warned if that’s not your thing, you probably won’t like it. For me it just added to the “extra”ness of the whole thing. Bring it. The chemistry is hot between the leads though I highly suspect that has a lot to do with FZX, because like Leo Wu, they just seem to be blessed with that acting ability. Every show he seems to be cast this way, and well, I’m not complaining. Plot is ok, it starts to feel a bit draggy towards the end, episodes are fairly short-thank goodness. I admit I did feel a bit nervous-you never know these writers that like to troll us, and then theres the ones who just take out a beloved character and you just hate the rest of the show because…why?Overall, great series, loved it, loved the leads. A bit of early 1900s China, its my thing. ✌🏼

Could have been the best show but evil witch and too long whiny child throughout- then killed off the best person that did it for me. Real real shame. Fire those writers. ML was the best I think I’ve ever seen full of fun and expression throughout.
Incredible show. Park Shin Hye should leave romance dramas behind, this is her thing. Never seen her so animated. Extremely gory at times, it got a bit too much for me - so easy to skip, but that aside the plot never stopped and thats a rare thing these days in dramas.
Had high hopes early on. There was intrigue, and tension. Obvious chemistry between leads. Fun unique elements to the story. But then the pointless side plots arrived. Writing that seemed like it came from clueless teenagers. 2024 6 leads behaved so immaturely. Major disappointment, this could have been better with stronger writing for the TV show elements. It seemed childish, and theres no way that show was trending. All the best parts were filmed off camera or purposefully cut. Like what content was getting anyone excited. Glad villians got their comeuppance. Thats rare in a cdrama. HEA appreciated.
Ahhh this story! A 10/10. I have lived this. Came to a foreign land, married. The first year was so very hard. Loneliness is real. Its excruciating and painful. You lean so heavily on your partner and they truly don’t understand.Through circumstances our situations switched places and we were now in my homeland. Through life, you learn to understand each other, but it takes work and an extreme amount of dedication to put each other first when the environment is strange. People don’t get you, cultures differ. Family is so far away. I understood every nuance about this story. The writers did an incredible job. I wish we hadn’t had to deal with a 2ML. That was hard. He wasn’t needed. She could quite easily have had reason to reject in the beginning and 2ML was never really a part of the reason. Beautifully written, executed and the music… stunning. I hope we see a physical OST because after Lovely Runner there has been no other drama in 2024 I have had the desire to purchase. This my friends is it.
What on earth was that. Disappointed after the 1st season. It was so whack and funny and so typically Japanese!! I thought we would get a little further on in the relationship. No idea how this got rated R, its not even PG lol. This was just a weirder than weird oddball complete waste of money 6 episodes that just stop with no real ending. No happy ending ir sad ending, just ends.
