Major disappointment. What a totally depressing show. I expected a lot more from these leads, but it just felt flat and unconvincing. Zero chemistry. Seconds was the only relationship I cared about and then the ending was just flat all round. Ugh.
What I liked:- The male lead character and the actor-The kids- No drama, no breakup, no tropes- The paceWhat I…
I’d agree. I came into this off the backs of WTPR which was a masterpiece. While I liked the mellow nature of it, it lacks just enough that the hype of it, for me, falls flat.
I really liked this show. I would have loved a bit more scenes for the second leads but I liked that their screentime…
The not much else happening is why I scored this 8.5. Theres a real lack in underlying plot and its needed. The tension points were great but the inbetween moments then felt a little lack luster.
I know this has a very mellow vibe, and an understated romance, however its lacking something thats hard to put a finger on. Probably the lack of any real tension in the plot, despite the efforts with evil ex colleague and the rando old guy chaebol who has a last minute redemption line, after he’s destroyed everything of course.
This show is full of the tropes, and yes even kdrama’s favorite sponsor, Kopiko, but you don’t really care because you are already hook line and sinker into the show. I am glad to see this guy finally get a main lead gig.
It’s ok, and a nice watch, you may skip a few bits like I did, it’s not a 10, and a 9 for me at all stretch. A good 8.5.
Romance? No way. This sounds toxic. Unless it's all a misunderstanding and the ML wasn't cheating and manipulating…
Romance feels like a reach with this label, there is some, but most the time it’s manipulated or hidden, and the truth comes out and destroys. Life lessons.
I’m giving this a 9. I won’t be watching it again, that’s for sure. I didn’t like the story or several of the characters, but thats what made the series so good. It was an unpleasant ride most of the time, but the cast pulled off this gritty dark script with absolute class. 10/10 for their performance. I removed a star for the ending-as per usual it’s rushed and not really complete but not terrible either.
Very mid. Not really much of a romance drama in the end. I mean yeah we got some couples. The plot was kinda strange and tried to be really dramatic but no one really seemed to suffer for too long ever. Lots of comments during the show about the ages, it really wasn’t selling tho im not bothered about their ages at all the director and script did very little to create convincing chemistry. It was lacking, especially when you finish one absolutely ON FIRE chemistry show like When the phone Rings and you watch this. SL would have been a much more suited partner because he at least attempted a relationship the whole time. Be warned-theres a few misses here.
Its awesome. However I think with things like this its best to go into it without listening to anyones opinion. people who only focus on the hype of ANY show are so over expecting and its really hard for a show to live up to that. i avoided all discussion on it until it was all out, then watched before I read any reviews. I’m glad I did.
Pathetic show that started out so strong. FL behavior is always contradicting. ML starts out awkward and odd but turns out to be the greenest flag. FL chops and changes her mind the writing is terrible and theres pretty much no intimacy even the kiss scene is so weird - awkward arms and filming from behind its strange. What a disappointment- first few episodes had me hooked. Wouldn’t recommend. It has 4 stars for the good start.
Just finished my 4th rewatch. Love this show despite the annoying side plot and angst from the bus crash stupidity. Yes theres a fair amount of nonsense but this cute fam of 3 are adorbs esp QQ who is the star of the show.
I stopped watching after episode 20 two weeks ago, and now I'm torn about whether to continue. Don't get me wrong—the…
same, I felt like I was enduring it at that point to see if it picked back up. This is not the drama of the year by any means, and I likewise don’t understand what I missed lol, but to each their own. It was tolerable for 70% of it. Started and ended strong, sadly about 25 episodes in the middle were lacking.

Not any ounce of fluff in this show. Good job.
Ending what on earth???
