I loved this drama so much! There was so much character growth in this drama. When you compare the first episode and the last episode of the drama, you can really tell that there are huge differences between the personalities of the characters at the start and at the end. This kind of drama with so much character growth is very rare to find, especially considering this is only a 20 hr drama. The story itself is very simple. It's the characters that drives the story and made it so awesome.
I don't care about other people's opinions. I always give every drama the chance it deserves and I think this drama definitely deserved that chance. I was planning not to watch it because the rating is kinda average for a good drama(I know, 8.3/10 is still high but compared to dramas with 8.8 or 8.9 ratings, I think 8.3 is pretty low, and it means people don't think it's good enough) and it's not the kind of story I usually dig for. But I'm glad I gave this drama a try because every single episode was worth it. I personally feel this drama is underrated. Very few dramas manage to make me reflect about what I've been doing with my life, without annoying me/boring me.
Please do give this drama a try if you have the time, I think it's worth it :)

Title Save Me
When I saw the genres and the title, I thought this drama was about the bullying issue in highschools in korea and high suicide rates which is why I didn't watch this drama for so long because I'm tired of the bullying issue taken too lightly in some dramas and made to look like a joke when it is supposed to be a serious issue. I was wondering why this drama had such high ratings and the summary didn't make much sense to me since I didn't even know about the existence of such religious cults.
I've come across the term 'extremists' quite often in english in school, but I never truly understood what it meant nor did I expect the existence of extremists in the 21st century. This drama was an eye opener for me. The story was also very unique and unlike any dramas i've seen. I would say, this was the best psychological thriller for me in 2017. I hope to see more dramas like this(of course I don't mean about religious cults or extremists but the high quality of the drama and gripping story) in the future.
I would personally like to meet the webtoon writer who managed to come up with this story and the screenwriter who managed turn such a good story into an awesome drama if I ever get the chance to.
If you are still looking for reasons to watch this, like I always say, watch the first episode. If you don't like it, no one's forcing you to watch the rest :)

The first time I watched this, i didn't understand why people loved this drama so much. I dropped it after the first episode. The only thing I liked about it was the food. I came back to rewatch it again and wow, this drama was really good. I was expecting it to be a slow romance drama, well it was a slow romance but the story was refreshing. I felt good watching this drama. The characters were also interesting. Only problem I have is why does the food have to look so delicious? >.< I'm a vegetarian and all the videos on food made me go crazy and suddenly want to become a non-veg.

Person Lee Do Yeon
Someone please give her the main role in a drama! This actress totally deserves it. Not only is she good at acting, she also knows how to appreciate her own beauty. I wish she wouldn't take on any more roles that try to name her as "ugly" because she is anything but that. She also has a slim figure, which I envy. She really suits comedy dramas, I wouldn't mind watching her in a cute funny rom com in the future :)

I don't have anything against plastic surgery but I hate how actresses who do not look like they are goddesses, are not given good acting opportunities just because of their looks. I can understand why many Koreans go through plastic surgery because without it, they are treated like trash or don't get much opportunities to move up the ladder in their careers. Let's face it, looks are everything in Korea which is why I admire people who appreciate their own beauty because it certainly wouldn't be an easy road. (This is based on what I read in korean manhwas where students got bullied just because they are ugly...etc so correct me if my info is wrong)

At the same time, I also dislike people who criticise actresses or actors for undergoing plastic surgery. We do not know what their circumstances or reasons were, nor did we know them personally so who are we to judge their actions? Even if there are people who are very good at acting, some just aren't given the opportunity to act just because of their looks. That's how this world works. If plastic surgery could open up more doors for these actors to actually be able to show their talent to the world, then why not?

Title Lawless Lawyer Spoiler
I loved the romance; chemistry between the leads was amazing. The best decision the writers and director have…
The starting was good because we couldn't really predict what the male lead was thinking until he revealed the whole revenge plot to the female lead which ruined everything for me.
I also felt that the romance at the start was a bit too rushed because I didn't really feel like they loved each other when they first kissed. It's as though they got together because both of them shared the same pain. I mean yeah, I could tell he was starting to like her but I felt it progressed a bit too fast, especially from the girl's perspective since she had suspected him and didn't even believe him at the beginning of that episode and suddenly she's ready to accept him? They should have added a bit more romance in the previous eps before suddenly giving us a bed scene so abruptly(not that I hated the scene hehe XD). Other than that, I loved the chemistry and romance between the leads after they got together, they were so cute.

I loved the romance; chemistry between the leads was amazing. The best decision the writers and director have made would be selection of the actors because everything else was mostly boring.

They could have done a lot more with the story. It was a lot worse than even cliche thrillers since they had already told us the villains at the very start which ruined all suspense for me. The most important and basic rule that makes thriller crime dramas interesting would be, hiding the villain from us or leading us to believe that the villain was someone else or at least not openly tell us all the information about the revenge, which this drama failed to do and also the reason why it became so boring and predictable.

I only watched it until the end for the main leads.

Yes and I loved both
Yay! Haha. Both were my most favorite gender bender dramas and I thought the reason wasn't bad, though it was quite unrealistic. It showed their love for their parents since they accepted to pretend to be a guy because of their parents' beliefs.
Btw, you watch indian dramas too?
Lively Persimmon Jul 22, 2018
I agree with everything except 5. I think gender benders and body swaps are nice as it makes the story more hilarious. Nail shop Paris was the worst gender bender i've ever seen so I agree with your opinion on that and I also agree that sometimes the reason for gender bender is very ridiculous. Have you watched Bromance (Taiwanese) or Love in the moonlight?

Rewatching this for the fourth time and still loving it. Characters are unique, story is amazing, awesome acting and chemistry between the leads and the best kiss scenes you can ever find in Kdramas! I really liked the female lead's character in this drama. The way she pretends that nothing has happened to her on the outside while she's very lonely and in pain on the inside could be clearly seen and I really loved how protective the mother was.
I really enjoyed listening to the thoughts of the main lead. We rarely get to see into the heads of main leads in romance dramas, so I think this drama did good. It really reminded me of Eric's previous drama, Discovery of Romance, which also was filmed in such a way that each of the lead's thoughts are shown to us.
The "drama" (aka sad scenes) don't last that long either, which is good becuz I don't want to be crying throughout half of the drama.
I really enjoyed watching this drama and probably would come back to rewatch this again at the end of this year. It is THAT GOOD. If you haven't watched it yet, just give the first two episodes a try, if you don't like it, just drop it. If you do like it, then that's great :)

Rewatching this drama for the eighth time now. This is the only 100+ ep drama that I'm willing to rewatch so many times, and still love it every single time. I love all the characters here. Though, some of the characters seem really unrealistic(like the main lead), I can't help but be hooked by the plot and the characters every single time. GJS might seem foolish, but I honestly, love his selfless character that I wish I had, myself. Please give this drama a try if you already haven't.

Jang geun suk oppa is the best! You could really tell the difference between the two characters even if their appearances were the same! If only there was a bit more romance... The chemistry between the leads was great. Looking forward to more amazing dramas from Jang geun suk!
And Jung Woong In, I've been keeping my eyes on you since I hear your voice. You make an amazing villain!

I dropped the journey of a flower after the first ep but now i'm thinking of watching it again, after reading your thoughts on it. Haven't watch sparrow yet, but it sounds really interesting. Going to check it out :)
